That's like 3% of the entire soviet population killed in that pocket. Thanks for the video, i'm gonna try that out.
Did you tried it
@@nabakunlaismime5526 Yes.
with that big of an army and industry you can legit just battle plan it my guy
I just thought the same
im sure this is faster and more efficient with regards to both manpower and equipment
Yeah, but then you miss out on all the fun of exterminating encircled division 😏
@@biharek7595 You can still do encirclements like that, if you for example stack all your tank/mechanized/motorised divions on one part of the front and then push with a armored spearhead order until you pushed deep into enemy territory then change your direction up or down depending on where there is less avaible space for the enemy and push again with armored spearhead order, while of course not forgetting to battleplan your infantry, you'll have plenty encircelments while not wasting your time, Ressources and reaching peak efficiency
@@rabniscraft1804 yeah, but why not just micro? If we're speaking of efficiency, microing is way more efficient than spearheading. Speaking of time usage, it's not so obvious too, as when you spearhead the frontline gets pretty buggy and you'll probably have to correct it constantly, while microing sometimes means that you just right click on a tile you want your tonks to go to and sometimes it's good enough. I think you have a point though as it really depends on many different factors whether you should micro the tonks or not, for me personally it's fun to micro so I do it even if I don't have to. It's not obligatory though - take Taureor for example. This man completes the most obscure challenges you can think of while pretty much not microing at all. It's all about personal preferences, really.
*me when my a few of my defensive infantry gets encircled*:
moves entire air force over them, air supply them, rush tanks to them, and last stand
*soviets when their entire population gets encircled*:
🗿
You can also just overun the entire front with 600 factories...
Isnt this pretty much what happened in the real war? They really need to fix soviet ai to make it more defensive, at least make it hold rivers or something
they were able to mobilize millions in months, they recruited 45mil soldiers in ww2, these numbers would be too much for hoi4 if you want realism.
@@egyptcountryball2288 not so much realism as competence, AI is just horrible
I was just referring to the strategy in his video which im pretty sure is what the germans actually did
@@Azaqano the Germans did not encircle like 5 million troops in one big encirclement
Although you are right the Germans basically did a lot of massive encirclements
The biggest of which was kyiv being 700,000 men encircled and the biggest encirclement in human military history
That amount of factories is Enough to hold every people in Singapore
"Sir, what are our orders?"
"HRGLFBGLR!"
The soviet won't capitulate just from that bruh....
this just isnt fun in my opinion. doing the same encirclement at the start of the invasion would take the uniqueness out of it, which is why its fun.
This is true, but once the USA gets involved, the fun starts being...less so. Those damn naval invasions get rediculous, and if you're still bogged down in Russia when a massive one comes it can be a real struggle to contain.
The Soviet Union in 1941 can have anywhere from 300 if the AI is shit to 450 if it decides to be competent. You surrounded maybe 30 of those divisions. It's a great start though, and armored divisions is certainly the key to creating those deep encirclements.
ive never seen the USSR build more than 300 divisions on historical by 1941, that's like 2 and a half army groups
@@fukinyouup I've seen some insane historic games in my 2000 hours, but only one time did I see numbers approaching 450. That's why I mentioned that ridiculous number, and I was playing as Romania in that instance which made it even more intense. The AI in this game is damn near the level of cancer in terms of the actions they take, even in historic focuses.
What do those tank templates look like? I'vw been looking for a decent one that one take billions of years to train or inhale all of my equipment
Don't train tank divisions, convert infantry to a tank instantly
@@givemeRtxorgivemedeath then you get a bunch of green divisions and they suck
@@givemeRtxorgivemedeath Train them to level 3 and send them to wars?

based
Nice stargey might plan it
There's no "trick" here, it's just an encirclement. It's enough to have your divisions better that the Soviets' and that will do the trick. You are extremely better positioned in any of the aspects: factories, armour, strategic situation, number of divisions, front length, and as people said here you could have just front attacked.
You can either do the same thing but several times in a more efficient and fun way or do it in 1937 with 48 divisions, now that would be tricky.
How does one makes it look so simple?
Los soviéticos tienden a ocupar todo el Baltico y partes Rumanas/Finesas, en una partida historica no serviría de nada esta estrategia
Supongo que podrías mandar unos tanques al norte, ir hacia el este y hacer algo parecido
What's your tank template
