Thank you bro. This helped me a lot since there aren't that many new Soviet Union guides in yt. Lot of them are 3 or 4 years old and I'm glad I found this.
I’d recommend attacking in the south too once the front stabilizes because Romanian and Hungarian troops are softer. That would also make the Germans pull some off the main front north and centre. Great guide over all. 👍🏻
The fact that you managed to pin the Germans down right at the border tells how good you are at the game. I've never seen someone grinding them down like you did. I'm at 370+ hours at the game, already done an Italy world conquest but I still haven't figured out the SU. I think I'm getting infantry template issues because I get pushed back all the time.
@@New_frisk hey, few days after my comment I found a good infantry template and finally managed to stop them like a brick wall. But yeah I started then pushing too hard so I burnt my resources and couldn't push into Italy. Got a great decent peace deal though cuz of the casualties.
There’s a little trick you can do. Firstly convert most of your civs to mils(It’s cheaper, and you don’t need those mils early game anyways). Then save some pp and when Spanish civil war starts, send an attache to Spain, which boosts War support over 50 and you can go to war economy in mid 1936. This way by 1939 i had like 150 civs
Amazing guide, my first attempt I forgot to take my troops off of training on the Romanian border so they got encircled and then Italy naval invaded Lithuania
I did this and built a few forts because I am new to the game.Germany started its justification and I was reorganizing and putting the 72 divisions I cooked up BUT THEN they just stoped justifying and gave up.I guess they dint like my level 5 forts
This is a decent guide but I have some advise you might appreciate maybe: - You followed the historical route. Which whilst fun, is not the most effective. The most effective strat is to use your first PP to justify on your western neighbours and go to war basically asap. You start with the largest army in the world by far. Use it. - Your sound quality is bad. I can appreciate it's difficult to get good sound without spending a ton on equipment, but what makes it far worse is the cuts in the audio. When you cut it out there's this nasty blip that literally hurts my ears. So my recommendation would be if you cant get cleaner audio, is to script what you want to say and just knock it out in one. Or at least dont cut every sentence, try to run it as long as possible. A constant background hiss is much easier to get over than the blips in and out. - A lot of your sentences are "Then do this focus". "Then do this focus". "Then do this focus". It would sound much more natural where you are basically listing an order of focuses to read it more like that. So more like "Do this focus because X, into this focus, then this focus because Y. After that we want Focus, Focus, then finally Focus." Just make it sound a bit less like a shopping list, and also not cut between each one for sound quality as mentioned above. Try to imagine you are talking to a person not just reading a list of bullet points.
About the audio, do you have any idea on how to make it not do that blip sound when I cut the recording? I record with audacity so I'm not sure if it's that or my mic itself that's the issue.
@@Noto Hey so bearing in mind I am not a professional or audio/video edittor/engineer. Do the video edit, then literally narate over the top of it. I often resort to this as it's a lot less effort. It can take a few takes but that's usually less time than audio processing all of it. - Otherwise when you process the audio, most of the hiss in the high. So some kind of high pass filter should get rid of a lot of it. - Then if you want to cut, you want a fade out/in, rather than a solid cuts. Bear in mind this means you want some empty quiet "space" for a few seconds before you start speaking for each segment. Hope this helps!

Is it possible to trigger a civil war in Germany (communist civil war) during the war and still get the achievement for Race to Germany if no actual country comes in?
It doesn't effect the game too much. It doesn't really change much whether or not you take the land but if you do go to war either just accept Finland's surrender or puppet Finland after taking your claims in the peace deal. I don't use a mod
What did you say your templates were?
For fighters i did 2 2 cannon 1's with engine 3 and some light machine guns as defense. For close air support (iirc) I did 2 anti tank cannons, bombs then engine 3 and light machine guns for defense. For my special infantry on the Romanian border I did 14 infantry with 4 artillery and then the rest of the army is the regular soviet infantry template.
is it possible to do this in Vanilla HOI4?
I mean I didn't use any mods so this should be vanilla lol
@@Noto No like, without DLCs like La Resistance
I think it would probably still be possible but it'd be much more difficult without the DLC
@@Noto i see now
so what about the allies? If you focus on germany untill 1943 you wont be able to beat the allies late game
why would you need to beat the allies for race for germany?
How do you avoid getting encircled? The germans managed to wipe out more than half my army i have a mad skill issue
If it was on the Hungarian border it has to do with holding the supply hub that you build there.
@@Noto it was encirclements all around the front i was surprised that you could hold the line without doing anything, maybe I was missing tanks? I converted them into infantry

Boys i need some help/tips, ive only got 50 hours on this game so still a complete scrub, ive followed this video a good 95%+ but i still get spanked on the defence, a couple of times its commanders leaving gaps in the line, however most is just getting completely overpowered, what can i do to fix this?
How many divisions did you have?
I believe either near or slightly over 200 divisions. It has been a while though so I don't remember the exact amount.
The 14/4 infantry ist strong
I died so bad
Does demobilizing our economy effect anything?
moves your economic law down meaning more of your factories are on consumer goods instead of building more factories
hello,if finalnd rejects,do i declare war on them or not
You can if you want but it doesn't really change the strategy either way. If you do take over Finland you should puppet them so you don't border Germany on an extra front.
@@Noto Got it,thank you for the quick repsonce
Can’t u do it in 1937? Through Poland
Has to be after the fall of France for the achievement
What are the tanks in the setup for?
Will this work without by blood alone dlc? I have every dlc except by blood alone
Can you still design airplanes without the dlc?
@@Noto without bba i can only upgrade 4 things, so basically no sadly, but i can research cas and start building it
@@Notothe 4 things i mean is like engine armor weapons
@@Noto update: i went until 1941 with the strategy and it seems to be working completely fine, i used fighter II's and cas II's with decent upgrades i guess, thanks for the guide!
ah sorry I had to finish up classes for this semester so I hadn't checked youtube until now. Good job!
Didn't help, I always lose

?
what do I do if Finland refuses to cede? Invade or should I just stay off them?
It doesn't really change much whether or not you take the land but if you do go to war either just accept Finland's surrender or puppet Finland after taking your claims in the peace deal. Main reason I say puppet is because it would be quite a pain to have to deal with the Germans invading from Norway.
