Yeah, if you know you're gonna get attacked in 3,5 years and you prepare for it tends to be a lot easier than being invaded basically by a surprise lol On the serious note, it comes down more to game balance than anything. Poland wasn't as weak and Germany wasn't as strong irl. In game German economy and army dwarf French counterparts, which is ahistorical af. But you need Third Reich AI to consistently win against Poland and France in historical focuses, so that's how it is.
What? Until the 1700s, the Poland-Lithuanian commonwealth was a bully of Europe. The largest and strongest state. It took three Germanic rulers banded up to kill Rzechpospolita.
It's also possible to lock the US out of nearly their entire focus tree if you can get their democracy support below 95% through spies. It makes them significantly weaker since they're stuck on undisturbed isolation and with the full effect of the great depression for nearly the whole game. They'll still join the allies when Japan attacks them but they'll be absolutely crippled. Those two are the only even mildly interesting strats possible with the spy agency tbh, The old spy system was so much more fun (even if it was a little broken).
I feel like putting a military factory or even two on trains at the beginning is better than dropping 15% stability to repeatedly commandeer. I don’t know how that stability affects the consumer goods and factory output in the long game, just something worth thinking about since it’s such common part of the game. Love the video!
I commandeer around 45 armored trains, which each has an IC of around 105 IC. That’s a total of 5k IC give or take. If I put two military factories on just mili trains, I’d have to wait for the build efficiency to go up, before I was able to really start making some trains, and since they’re so expensive to make in the first place, it’ll take forever to make the amount I need. Putting a couple factories on trains also takes away factories from making guns, anti air, and planes etc etc etc. I’d rather lose the 15% total stability early game and put those factories on guns instead. Much much much more worth it imo.
@@thetibbiesshow Idk I just hate that you lose factory output and consumer goods near permanently because of the decision, stability is so hard to come by on that path in Poland in particular. Obviously that’s just my take though and it’s very nitpicky, it really was a great video, one of the most enjoyable long form hoi videos I’ve watched
The pp gain is lesser as well and with that things like worker conditions or xp gain through military staff will kick in later.... imo for "losing" 1 mill that is not worth it. That about a little detail of a nice video xD
I think youre wrong, you had like 50+ mil factories when germany attacked you, so -15 factory output from stability loss is like 6 mil factories. The stability is more important the bigger economy is, and Poland economy is big enough where using comandeer trains is a mistake.

You offensive divisions should make use of battle plans. I don’t mean executing plans and wait and see but even if you’re attacking manually, your divisions make use of planning bonus, which gets buffed through grand battleplan
@@thetibbiesshow i also have a LOT of questions to your indusrtial strat, like whyyy do you start by building mils?? And why dk the agrarian remorm so early? I think it's best to build infra in krakow first because it doesnt habe debuffs.
Your focus tree gives you all the civs you need, and you need lots of mils. You can always build what you want at game start, but imo, start with mils.
I was impressed you were pushing the Germans in East Prussia… without using battle plans. Good division template along the bonuses from spies and countering German air. But seriously, use those battle plans. Not only does it provide bonuses to your troops, but your generals can passively gain a planning trait when they’re fighting (even fighting defensively from my testing) and get the supply consumption trait and/or more planning bonuses when promoted to Field Marshal.
You should always place an offensive arrow even if you don't use it it will allow your troops to build up planning bonus which is hugely helpful especially with grandbattle plan (the whole point of the doctrine)
Thanks man! The main reason I got this game was to defend Polska from the Krauts and the Kommies. Its ridiculously hard bro like its not a matter of if they overtake me its a matter of when. 45 hours of just losing as Poland lmao I've been keeping busy with The New Order. I think this might help.
Just a small suggestion when you want to support an attack, menaing you don't want the units to move to that possition once it is taken, use ctrl+right click, there will be blue arrow, meaing support attack, once the battle is won, only the red arrow guys will move to that tile, blue will remain where they are. :)
If you have manpower issues during your offensives you can switch to the non-core manpower advisor and you can request garrison support from the italian puppet, that'll give you several hundred thousand extra manpower.
Btw. 2:03 you are not entirely wrong here. Sanation (pl. Sanacja) party name came from Latin 'sanatio' - healing. Word sanitation came from the latin 'sanitas' - health. So it's the same root.
Also a couple of suggestions. Your production before the war is good, but after it gets fucky, with all the combat losses and attrition, might work to put maintanence companies for that equipmen capture ratio. Another strat that might work is making space marine tanks, I have used it as Poland and Finland since AI doesnt know how to build AT and put it on divisions.
And a bit more cheese. Get a general just for last stands, since the cost of CP is based on number of divisions. So if a unit is about to lose, pop it out, put it on the general, press last stand, and then put it back on the original general when the last stand is over
I would also shuffle production a bit, lower AT, relegate it to be a support battalion, and if you can afford, put 1 arti support battalion, and 1 arti as combat battalion
you might have given up on navy too fast as well. Keep the subs, maybe build a bit more, and convoy raid prussia, it would be easier to close the pocket if they get reduced supply
On some occasions as well, if you cant afford to lose a tile, attack the divisions that are attacking you from the adjacent tiles so they are in double combat and they bleed organisation, so they will have to stop the attack
Finally, i dont think the production of AT is justified on single player. The tank pushes are not concentrated at all, so for the occasional tank battle against unoptimized tanks, the IC investment in AT ain't worth it chief, better stack more soft attack on the divions. Didn't get the rangers either which also boost the artillery of your divs... Thats it, sorry for the backseating

As I was playing along around minute 23:00 the MIO for Infantry Weapons does pop up and it seems to be missing in your edit. What was your take on that for the best little bonuses?
Atfer getting lend-lease at 44:30, in 2 hours (from 01:00 to 03:00) - I think a few german divisions despawned from east prussia. Look carefully, there were 7 division on the southern park, after the cut it was only 4 and a gap in the frontline was created. Am I insane or did he use console to tag germany and delete these divisions?
Can’t use console in Ironman mode. Check the top right hand corner, if you see the “achievements available” emblem is turned on, then you know the run is legit. It’ll be greyed out if it isn’t legit Also, lastly, if it cheat, I’ll tell ya I cheated. Check out my Soviet and Germany game, I cheated at the end and said I did. Same thing with my millennium dawn vid. I cheated, but same as before, I said I did it in the end of the vid when I had to cheat due to AI shenanigans.
