Been shooting this side by side with my hellcat and Taurus gx4xl. This outshoots them. Less snappy and siggts shoot true to aim. I found at 7 to 10 yards the other two shoot low to aim. Had to hold front siggts on them high to get center shots.
I just bought the MC9 and put 115 rounds thru. Great performance. Feels like my P365 with XL grip frame. If you buy it, you won't regret it. It shoots great.
My dad just purchased this handgun and it’s amazing. The ergonomics are on point. I currently edc a canik mete mc9 and now he has the 9mc. Honestly for the price it’s amazing. No need to go purchase an sig 365 xmacro with a comp for 900. My personal opinion
I've been singing the praises of this gun for awhile now. I have almost 1000 rounds thru it with no problems. I lube it with Mobil 1. It's well made and is easy to carry. It's dimensionally identical to the FN Reflex. It fits much nicer in the hand than the Hellcat. It's nice and thin. The downside is the slide is really hard to rack and the mag springs are almost impossible to load for the first 100 rounds. You really need a loader until the springs break in. Adjustable rear sight. I think it's a total sleeper.

After 2 trips to the range, I've had to send it back to Stoeger for: Coil Pin walking out while firing, 13 round magazine not locking slide back when empty, rear sight came loose and almost fell out. I hope they get everything fixed, it feels great in my hands and I love the trigger.
I own the Stoeger STR 9SC. I know what you mean regardless of what Stoeger gun you own it feels good in the hand, affordable price and good deal that I got through Buds Guns.

I have a Stoeger STR-9mc slide finish dark and rich very nice finish trigger is pretty dam good stock grip texture is awesome fully adjustable rear sight awesome stainless guide rod very nice nice magazines only down points with it is magazines springs are very stiff hard to load without a loader but magazines are very high quality and it comes in a cardboard box so you have to buy a case or gun pouch to store it it shoots and performs very well for a small gun so far the gun has ran flawless and a absolute joy to shoot at the range l love mine
I have the Stoeger full size and compact. Got the both new as a steal when no one knew them. I agree with you the Micro looks fantastic. I might pick one of these micros up. Texture looks great!
I asked you long ago to get this one and do a review on it but you kept looking at your g26 and also getting other guns but this one and took forever to finally get it and look it now, its like one of your new favs. I am very disappointed you didn't take me serious when i advised you to get this stoeger 9mc way back in November.

I picked up one of the STR 9 optic ready pistols back in December. After the rebate I paid $250. The optic I put on it was more than the gun. Trigger is ok out of the box averaging around 4 lbs. I’d recommend to anyone looking for a quality budget pistol.
Although this is not a g26 video, your video has convinced me to get one and I love it so far! 500 rounds reliably and can’t wait for more! It’s so enjoying to shoot and I can’t wait to put the SLR rifleworks baseplates on when arrived! Love my Frankenstein g26 with the gen 3 frame and gen 4 slide lol! Finger grooves are the shit, don’t even need any grip tape for me!
Honestly wanna grab one to have while the parts accessibility grows, the fact it’s pretty much a 43/hellcat lower with partial Glock internals, xd-s recoil spring. I’d like to see sight options, trigger and barrel options and it would be sleeper build of the year. I was gonna grab a hellcat but I think I’ll snag this first pass me the stoegy 🚬 💪🏾
Kinda wish the SC had some of the improvements they put on this one. Like the index pads, and the serrations. Even the brand and gun name stamp looks better. I went with the SC though cuz this was just a bit too small for me.
The SC shoots much better. It’s a smoother shooting handgun with less features. I like the sc a bit better especially when it comes to fast defensive shooting!

Next job will to be to investigate any ongoing material or operational issues with Stoeger and whether or not there’s any level of post purchase customer service. S&W shield line, FN Reflex, and a few more are not on my radar now due to those issues.
Hello SPN, I got my STR-9MC about 2 weeks ago. I have not taken it to the range yet, but I was hoping to get some advise on how to loosen up the springs on the mags and slide. I am a senior and I have lost a lot of my hand strength. Any advise will be greatly appreciated.
@@spnfirearms Thank you for the mag tip. I'm keeping the slide locked open to see if the slide spring loosens up a bit. I'm also hoping that it lightens up when I start shooting it at the range.
You might have to use thread locker and the included Allen key for the rear sight. I read a review where it came loose in the dovetail after 50 rounds. Also was the inside of the slide and frame coated in copper anti-seize, like a Glock is?
3 dot sights?? The rear is black with no dots. 3 dot sites have 2 dots on the rear sight and one dot on the front sight, thus 3 dot sights. I really like your content though man!! That Stoeger STR9MC looks amazing!!
Taurus gx-4 TORO version is better imo, i have both. I set my taurus up with holosun 407k and I'm sold on the red dot now. They are both good, taurus trigger is also better
Maybe I missed it, but is the Stoeger ambidextrous..? Seems like the mag release is, but what about the slide? That's an important thing in any gun review, IMO...
Stoeger has been making amazing pistols for years. Before the MC they produced the cougar. It was a Beretta gun that was sold for 800$ back in the 90s. When beretta retired it they gave the machining tools to Stoeger. The only change made by Stoeger was a slightly cheaper finish. They were sold for the same price as these but are WAY higher quality. (And the MC is not bad) The cougar used the rotating cam recoil system later implemented into the PX4 storm. When Stoeger retired the cougar I picked up 3 of them at academy on clearance for 250$ each. Beretta owns Stoeger. So it makes sense they would be decent quality. If you ever get a chance to check out the cougar you should. 15+1 all metal frame with a recoil reducing cam system and a 3.6 inch barrel. In my opinion it's the sleeper of the century.

Keep them fully loaded 24/7! They will loosen up a bit!

Those rear sights look like they would dig into your stomach if you appendix carry. Have u ran into that issue?
