AMD has come a great way with their integrated graphics. To a point that you don't need a dedicated GPU for light gaming anymore. You are on a tight budget? Solution is simple. Build a PC and use an APU inside.

I am sorry to say I don't think vega 11 or higher will be released again. Amd switched the design of newer vega apu's in 4000 and up ryzen, so a good vega 8 is almost the same speed as older vega 11. I just got a client a Lenny laptop with the R7 4800U and it was really nice. Surprised it didn’t have Hyper Threading (Sorry SMT 🤪) Great Vid Prime!!! Keep up the amazing work!!!
Have to up the TDP, seeing as the temps are well under control in the mid 50s and 60s. So using the Ryzen APU Tool, you could bump it up to 45W, maybe even 50W if temps aren't terrible. That should offset the power draw issue between the CPU and Radeon 8 iGPU, since there'd be enough to share without compromising performance.
Hey ETA, I have an idea for your next video. You can use nintendo switch with video card to RPI4 to iPad Pro setup. Your iPad could be used as a portable monitor.
I actually JUST got a new laptop with the Ryzen 5 4500U processor and it shares the same graphics with the 5th series. Honestly can't wait to finally do light gaming
Wonderful that the new stuff is coming. Sadly, pretty much every nice builds are now trending toward the below 14" screens... It's becoming very difficult to find a nice (and relatively affordable) laptop config on the 15.6" sized screen these days... Meanwhile those APU's are becoming great!... :)
when a game is running you can open up the windows task manager and set the games CPU affinity. This'll allow you to limit how many cores the game has access to. It'd be interesting to see if limiting GTA5 to just 4 cores if it'd improve the game by allowing more power budget to the GPU.
Thank you, ETA Prime! Now I really really want this bad boy. It should show some decent improvement over my one and half year old Ryzen 5 3500U HP Pavilion laptop.
