Sounds good with the added EQ and compression. I missed it when you took it off. I would also take some (2/3dB) down around 6500Hz with a wide Q so the notch start around 5000Hz and ends around 8000Hz. Can't really explain why, but I feel it needs it. With some EQ and compression I feel it would score higher on the BBSAR. But again, that you for the review!
Yeah I agree with all of that. It’s definitely useable. If there weren’t so many options…I would be fine using it with the eq tweaks
Ok. So the way I see it, the sound is workable and adjustable. The real benefit to this is the removable grills in that if you have a particular look or style you are going for in your content those slatted / grooved plastic sides pieces would be super easy and cost effective to set down on a piece of cardboard and spray paint a few light coats of your desired color to get the look to fit your set, studio, record space. But hey, that's just me. Thanks for the sharing Bark.

I was rolling in at a 6 as well. I love the look. On camera in the shot, I think it looks good. More bottom would’ve been superb. I would lean towards the Fifine K669C for the bottom end. Still a solid 6!
Theres def better out there for that price range. Fifine comes to mind.

Top presence is hard on my ears. Awesome design, but if it doesn't sound good... If I was looking to spend that kind of dough, I would rather spend it on a Neat Worker Bee, a sE X1 A, or I just noticed you can pick up the CAD E100SX for under $85 through some vendors. No detachable grills, but what are your priorities for the purchase?

And it's a real large-diaphragm condenser! Not bad for $79. Sounds good, but as you say, it's a touch midrangey and lacks bottom. I suspect this could be fixed with some mods....
Yup. Just getting harder to wanna mod when there’s SO many options that need no mods. This mic is pretty cool though
