Getting your G license is the final step in being fully licensed in Ontario, and these tips will help you have a better chance at passing the test. The key factor is to practice as much as possible before taking the G test so that you can be fully prepared for it.

tips
1. Stay at the speed limit or at most 3km under the speed limit
2. Back into the parking spot to start easier if you have difficulties backing out
3. Arrive early to fill out forms and ease nerves before the test
4. Get rid of bad habits and drive like you would if the government was watching(follow the rules of the road very strictly)
5. Check your car before the test for any problems that will affect your ability to pass the test (lights, signals, etc)
6. Reach highway speed before merging onto the highway, unless the cars are not going highway speed
7. When changing lanes use signal, check mirrors, check blind spot, and make it noticeable that you are doing so

@@MRah-ih4oe hi!! Thanks...Etobicoke route, Eglinton Ave (took some side roads to do 3-point turn, emergency stop, uphill/downhill parking) then took HWay 427 south then Hway 427 north. Parallel parking done in parking lot using traffic cones.
I like this guy. He has done how-to videos on literally anything and everything.
I got a new lawn trimmer and was probably not doing a good job at trimming. I looked up some videos on RUclips, and came across one of his. His RUclips handle looked familiar, and when I clicked on the link and heard "Hey everybodyyyyy. I'm here to......", I knew hands-down I was in safe hands.

Today I passed my G test in the first go and I watched this video before leaving for the test! These tips give you something do instead of hanging around being nervous- thanks a ton!
Also, DRINK WATER beforehand coz you can't take your mask of at all in the test area (if you do they fail you)

Another big tip guys is to always check your back mirror even when your about to brake and accelerate, every 10 seconds look at at least one mirror

My advice would be have your own car and drive frequently if possible right after you get your g2, that helped me a lot after failing a bunch of times I went bought a car and passed on the first attempt after owning my own viehacle for a couple of months
I have the worst anxiety as I just made my apt for my G😭😭 this helped a bit ill be watching a few times!

I watched few of your videos just before I appeared for my G test today. FYI, I went for G directly after taking my G1 last year so I was super nervous but watching your videos taught me a lot of points and tricks to remember to note down when going for the test. I love how you point out the nitty gritty details since that is definitely important. For others who are planning to do this, people might put you down and discourage you if you skip G2 but don't even pay attention, all you got to do is focus, do your due diligence, practice, practice and PRACTICE! That's all that is going to take you there and do relax and keep a light mind while appearing for the test. You all got this!!!

Good piece of advise. About merging into the highway, DVP usually is crowded at every time so it is unrealistic to speed up to 90 kph before merging, so in that case what would the advise be? To merge at the very end of the ramp?

I failed cause I wasn't looking both ways at intersections and I wasn't lane changing from the turning lane...I just stayed in the left lane and never signaled to enter the right lane

I heard it took about 20 months for people to get a driver’s license. That’s long! Here, it took me about 1 month to get my license. Some said the roads there are complicated. Maybe that’s why 😟

I'm in the same boat. I got my g2, it takes a year till u can take your G I decided to take another year just to be a confident driver and still have some leeway to take it again...then covid happened due to all the lockdowns I haven't been able to get my appointments in because they constantly were getting canceled due to lockdowns and one time when my mask fell bow my nose the instructor freaked out and ended the exam, the government kinda extended the expiration dates but only if they expired during the lockdowns. My license expires in November so I can't afford to fail it it's a shame because I've essentially missed 2 years of being able to take tests due to government lockdowns now my backs to the wall. Good luck with your test.

Im terrified of higher speeds >.> so this test is a big deal for me. How do you overcome your fear of going highway speeds? City speeds im okay with country driving not so much n thats only 80km/h usually… now i gotta go do 90km n im like not even in the car n im shaking from it…. I got 6 days to get over this fear of going fast n then a test that will either make it or break it for me… my license expires next month so if i dont pass this test i gotta start all over again.

I pass my driving license in Norway
my question is for on/off ramp, the yellow speed signs are usually 30 to 40kms, would you say those are guidelines or should I do the 30 or 40kms on the on ramp.. i'm getting so many different answers..
I failed my G for following them lol, cause i wasn’t able to reach 100 before merging on the highway
Follow them until the ramp straightens, then start accelerating to the highway speed limit
I would actually stay between 48-52 km at a 50km limit

i have chevy impala 2018 it has back camera is that is acceptable for the test
Back cameras are not allowed. You have to use the mirrors and check your blind spots.

I really hope this gets to you or someone online. I have my G test coming up. My instructor will often teach me as a relaxed instructor often telling me "make sure in exam u don't do this, but with me it's ok". An example is "right turn on green light on major intersection with pedestrians crossing on a 4 lane road with an island". Like most motorist and myself, when making that right turn, once the pedestrians reach the center island, I would make my right turn, like the instructor insist. He than tells me "but on exam, u must wait until they reach all the way, then u turn right". That's like an additional 5 secs waiting on a clear right turn. I have no idea if he's right or wrong. What do I do? Please help
He’s right, legally you have to wait until the pedestrians fully cross the crosswalk. They have the right of way. Of course this rule is not always followed but 100% follow it on to ur test. Good luck man!
