Good work John. My sincere thanks to you!. Recently went through the video with every speed limit posted on your video and the same route and the same examiner for my G Test. I have had couple of attempts for G Test and got successful after I covered all my small mistakes. Instructor was very strict and he is doing him job very professionally and no excuse. 1. Maintain the correct speed with respect to location a. Highway max 90 km b. City 50 km if posted or follow 50 km(45 to 50 Km). This is very difficult for the driver and he has G2 for long time and forget about speed limit, c. some busy streets are 50 km (DON"T slow down). d. right speed when you exit from highway and do NOT speed > 50 km and slow down after the highway completion. Made mistake to go over 50 km in city zone. 2. Ever left turn should demonstrated changing to right immediately with blind check to make busy lane used for others. Candidate has to perform on his own without instructor telling to you!. This is important (given reason for the first failure). 3. Blind spot checking and making sure no thunderstorm on that drive test date to make the lane changes easier in the fairway road. 4. Make sure no vehicles are passing when you release emergency parking. Given warning! 4. Parallel parking done part of testing. In addition I stopped the vehicle with reserved park at the final parking placed and switched off engine obtain more confidence to instructor to release me the licence. Successful attempt made finally with greater patience. All the best for future G candidates. Practice well even if your very good driver to demonstrate test requirements.
Just wanted to say thank you for the video. I passed my G test today and while it was a totally different route, this helped calm my nerves many nights leading up to the road test. Cheers
Everyone driving in this area, the point on the highway at 9:00 is really bad for accidents and is very dangerous, as you might be able to tell in this video. People on the far right are merging to the left while you could be merging to the right, right into them if you don't double check your blind spots and mirrors.
Did my G road test today passed and did a great job even tho I was waiting around for the examiner for 2 hours in 30+ weather lol the road test I did has 3 point turn, parallel parking, emergency parking, lane changes in city and on highway best advice I can give is relaxe and treat it as everyday driving and you should do fine
I failed my G Test because i "did not shoulder check enough" which is total bullshit i drove very well, the examiner was just a complete dickhead to me.
@@jonplaysgames2001 If you didn't shoulder check enough you probably didn't do it for every turn you made, each of those turns lost you points. It doesn't matter if you did 100% in everything else. Shoulder checking 8 turns alone would be 2 points each for a total of 16 and after 30 points it's an instant fail. You only need a 70% to pass and each minor infraction is 2 points. I passed my G test yesterday!!! I was so stressed out 😭 I took the highway 7 east ramp to go on the highway and I could not safely change lanes as other drivers flew by me. I even had my left blinker on and the examiner told me to exit off the highway as he could tell I could not safely change lanes. We went on highway 7 west like you did and it wasn’t as busy and I was able to change lanes safely. I thought I was going to fail but drivers were just flying by to fast on highway 7 east and the examiner understood. I only did emergency parking, parallel and 3 point turn. Always make sure to move your head to check mirrors and blind spots. There watching for that. When you park at the centre, always back into a spot!! If you don’t and just pull into a parking spot, they will make you back up into a parking spot after the g test.
Thank you so much ! I drive on this same route during my test ! Thank you 😊😊 i cleared my test in first attempt with help of this video ! Got G license 😻

Sahil Kharidia No. It was under construction. I had to take another highway twice. The only thing to remember is to check the speed before merging on the highway.
Hey ur video was great practice and probably the reason I passed my test yesterday but I had a different route. Did my emergency stop / 3 point / parallel park on montecalm then went onto the Ottawa 7 entrance like you but got off at courtland instead , got directly back on to go back to ottawa. Turned right on old chicopee to go around a block and then headed back to the drive centre on Ottawa. Same level of difficulty as urs :)

Only reason I failed. Next test I’m doing somewhere else. My fault but still watch extra carefully on that turn
i failed and i thought it went really well, i had a different examiner. you have to follow everything so precisely, apparently i messed up on a bunch of stuff here's some of the list, i drove in the left lane down Ottawa and was supposed to be in the right, stopped over line, at some points apparently i didn't do a left right left check, complete turn: not by traffic speed? doesn't say if i was to slow or fast... lane change to fast, didnt check my mirrors every 5 seconds on highway, no blind spot check on roadside stop, not parallel on park... all i can say is read the book or they will call you on a bunch of bs! road positioning, signaling, speed, blind spot and left right left checks, etc...
Who was your examiner? Mine was a mean lady with blonde curly hair who said I wasn’t looking left, right and left while proceeding through an intersection. Said I did every other thing right except that! I honestly think there should be a way of appealing or challenging some of these results handed out by these examiners Cos they can be very biased and their assessment is subjective!
@@omalyn2081 i got my test results on a piece of paper, examiner # 525 , honestly i didnt do some of the things she said i did, you could get a dash cam that faces towards the road and towards yourself with sound (to hear the signals). then you will have undeniable evidence... oh ya i remember they said you cant have a dash cam that faces towards yourself! thats how they try to get you, but they dont know if its recording or not so just record anyways lol... $90 to retake the test! its all about the money!
Not from Kitchener, actually from Ottawa, ON but I'll probably be doing my G test in about a month or so. Nervous but idk.. if I get the same lady I did last time I'll feel much better.

hey, at 19:52 when the examiner tells you to make a right turn...is it possible to make a right turn without the signal going green unless specified? in your case, you stopped and waited for the the signal to be green before proceeding but we can turn right while the signal is red right?
You need to stop on a red light and wait 2-3 seconds before you can make the right hand turn. In his case it was perfectly timed with the light turning green which was 100% coincidence.

Just did my G test today, it is a completely different route now! Same neighbourhood but different route. Practicing using this route still helped though. I passed!
When I did my G2 road test. My driving instructor told me to turn at the next intersection, but there was an issue. I couldn’t make out what he said. And I proceeded to ask him witch way he wanted me to turn. And he didn’t respond. So I had to guess. My driving instructor wasn’t very nice, and very nerve racking to drive with. I’m about the get my G licence. And I’m very nervous about it. I genuinely really wish I could have had this guy for my upcoming road test.
Holy shit, i'm actually so nervous watching this video. I tried three times to finally get my G2 License at this location. Even after 6 months of driving (commuting, grocery shopping or 401 to Toronto), I'm still so nervous when watching this. Hope I will do well when it's time to take the next Road Test.
Level One (Class G1) You must not drive on 400-series highways with a posted speed limit over 80km/h. Also, you must not drive on certain high-speed roads including the Queen Elizabeth Way, Don Valley Parkway and the Gardiner Expressway in the Greater Toronto Area, the E.C. Row Expressway in Windsor and the Conestoga Parkway in Kitchener-Waterloo. However, if your accompanying driver is a driving instructor, you may drive on any road. Hopefully you passed the g2 mate be careful if you get pulled over on any roads over 80 except in country as those are 80 with a g1 you'll lose it for up to three years. Here's hoping the best guys.
Question- At 2:55 lanes were switched without the request from the instructor. I've been told not switch lane unless its the suggested by the instructor. Have I've been told wrong? Or is this instructor more lenient than others in Kitchener?
My instructor told me that when you take a left turn to come onto a road, you first move to the leftmost lane as per rule but for driving you have to be in the right lane until you have to take another left turn. So everytime you turn left, you yourself have to move to the right lane. Hope this helps.
@@shailjamehra Good luck. I failed my test. Instructor said I was a good driver and everything I did was great, he failed me because I didn't look enough in my blind spots...even though I thought I was apparently he didn't think it was enough. It sucks but I've rebooked for July.
@@sweetkz It sucks. So sorry to hear that. But don't loose heart. It means a lot if the instructor agrees that you are a good driver. May be it was just a bad luck. I am so nervous about my test on Friday. Wishing you luck for the next time. You have got that. 👍
Hi, John, in the 19 minutes 55 seconds video footage while you are taking right, then you make right after the signal green but I think we can make right turn if there is no trafic while red signal, could you please explain the actual sceniarion for that moment..but it's really great video for the test student..Good Job..
This route is different from the one my instructor took me on earlier this month, which is where you make a left from ottawa street onto highway 7 and then turn right on edna street onto the highway again and go back to the center. My test is in 2 weeks so can someone confirm which route might be on the test?
I heard the route has changed. did you go on the way in this video or the one your instructor took you ? please confirm I have my G in few days. thanks
my examiner was f*cking brutal, tried to almost fail me for going too slow because I merged on to the highway at 80 instead of 90 because there was traffic and I was merging to the flow of it. She also got mad when Is stopped for a yellow that turned 30 feet in front of me. she was honestly insane. They either make you reverse park or parallel park to show that you can drive in reverse. Sometimes if you park in reverse at the test site they won't make you parallel park.
When you did the parallel parking test. did you line up your car mirrors with the other car mirrors? how far you beside the other car when you started to backwards I’m going for my g license soon. I notice I didn’t see the car, when you when you stoped.
Quarter Mile The examiner clearly said in the video at 7:32, that it's 90 km/h on the Hwy. The current speed limit, unless otherwise posted, it's 50 km/h in the Suburbs. And, residential streets are probably 40 km/h or maybe 50 km/h. It's common sense lol.
I failed my 1st attempt at my full G1 license because of the highway 7 ramp was small I got up to speed but couldn’t safely merge without slowing down before running out of room on the ramp
That is SO dangerous!!! People have died by not merging before the ramp ends!! You have to be assertive and let people know you're going to merge and they'd better move. So many rude drivers out there so you can't expect them to be courteous. You see a spot? Take it. They'll move.
Henry Smith I’m fully aware of that I managed to get into the lane before I ran out of room but had to slow down 1st hell my test driver said the only problem I had was on the highway but the rest of the drive was good kinda pissed me off at the time but she was doing her job and that’s all there is to it
Jayskins Cristines pretty much exact same route just different side streets. You can rent a car from anywhere but I’d say get comfortable with it. You might be required to reverse. Etc,.
11.18 why give an indicator when there is an arrow for a left turn. Others aren’t doing the same as well. Also, I believe he said exit to left, then why didn’t we take the left-most lane? pls, answer anyone. thanks
Hi, i have a question. When you did the pullover 15:50 . Dou you needed put on the parking and parking brake or just stopped and did the three point turn?
You always need to use the parking brake when you do any kind of parking for the exam. So the parallel park, emergency roadside, when you park at the exam site before & at the end of your test. It won't get you failed but it will deduct points off your end score which could get you failed if you make a bunch of little mistakes.
Reverse bay parking is usually on the G2 and not the G. G2 usually has reverse bay parking, up or downhill parking; whereas G usually has parallel parking, 3-point turn, and emergency stop. Obviously, still practice all of them.
@@bobbarker3248 on my G2 test I was asked to parallel park but was not asked to reverse park. I'll have to see what I'm asked to do for my upcoming G 😅. It's typically one or the other, but not both.

i failed and i thought it went really well, i had a different examiner. you have to follow everything so precisely, apparently i messed up on a bunch of stuff here's some of the list, i drove in the left lane down Ottawa and was supposed to be in the right, stopped over line, at some points apparently i didn't do a left right left check, complete turn: not by traffic speed? doesn't say if i was to slow or fast... lane change to fast, didnt check my mirrors every 5 seconds on highway, no blind spot check on roadside stop, not parallel on park... all i can say is read the book or they will call you on a bunch of bs! road positioning, signaling, speed, blind spot and left right left checks, etc...
Yea it’s all bullshit. No one will drive like this even if they pass lol
Thank you so much, I passed my G test today.
Was it the same route ?
Sahil Kharidia Not same, but very close.
Im pretty sure I had the same examiner when I did my G2 test.
16:24 did the examiner said left or right? I think you missed it
Thank you for posting the video.
Congratulations
i couldn't make out what he says at around 15:54 "make a three-point turn using only the ??"
Using only the Roadway? Public Way? That’s what I think, because he did the three way turn without using private driveways.
ahh...that makes sense. thanks
Not from Kitchener, actually from Ottawa, ON but I'll probably be doing my G test in about a month or so. Nervous but idk.. if I get the same lady I did last time I'll feel much better.
Ottawa-Walkley class G drive test successful! Full dashcam video!
ruclips.net/video/Lb_aIZMwXiA/видео.html
don't know if this is your area but hope this helps.
Wow super close to home . Thanks for the information .
hey, at 19:52 when the examiner tells you to make a right turn...is it possible to make a right turn without the signal going green unless specified? in your case, you stopped and waited for the the signal to be green before proceeding but we can turn right while the signal is red right?
You need to stop on a red light and wait 2-3 seconds before you can make the right hand turn. In his case it was perfectly timed with the light turning green which was 100% coincidence.
GOT MY TEST IN 2 DAYS IN KITCHENER HOPE IT GOES WELLL AHHH
UPDATE: I PASSEDDDDD!
@@Hamza-gs7ik did mine this morning. Some guy hit my car at a light from behind and because I handled it so well my guy passed me right their lol

@@Hamza-gs7ik nah I don’t pay anything bc I didn’t cause it. this video made me happy lol
i have mine tomorrow in a total different city i didnt see a video for

Thanks for the vedio. I got same examiner and I cleared. He was an awesome guy.
What’s his name?
@@omalyn2081 I forgot his name but he has long hairs with tattoo on his hand. Chilled out guy with glasses in him too
I find the hardest part of these tests is keeping speed right at the limit. A little bit off and you fail immediately.
SweetestSmilex3 exactly. I’ve heard that 2 kmph over will earn you a fail in some places.
No one will fail you that easily. My instructor actually told me to speed to keep up with traffic.
Just did my G test today, it is a completely different route now! Same neighbourhood but different route. Practicing using this route still helped though. I passed!
What route did you take? I'm driving tomorrow :) Congrats on passing!
Can you tell us what route please???
When I did my G2 road test. My driving instructor told me to turn at the next intersection, but there was an issue. I couldn’t make out what he said. And I proceeded to ask him witch way he wanted me to turn. And he didn’t respond. So I had to guess. My driving instructor wasn’t very nice, and very nerve racking to drive with. I’m about the get my G licence. And I’m very nervous about it. I genuinely really wish I could have had this guy for my upcoming road test.
May I ask where you are doing your G? They aren't running any G tests in Ontario which is mad annoying!
Level One (Class G1)
You must not drive on 400-series highways with a posted speed limit over 80km/h.
@@shailjamehra Thank you! Going to take my test tomorrow :)
@@sweetkz All the best for your test. My test is on Friday.
I will take a tip from you to exaggerate looking at the blind spots. Your focus is so much splitted in multiple things that it's hard to do everything perfectly. I am so nervous about my test on Friday. Wishing you luck for the next time. You have got that. 👍
they dont grab your wheel and pul you off to the side of the road anymore?
The questions he asked about highways and all do we need to be careful asking that or is it like general questions
Thank you for this video..i pass my g today🙏
Does anyone know what "Traffic Check: Not by traffic speed" mean in a G drive test?
Please post a video for G2 in kitchner
just had my test today and had the exact same instructor as the guy in this video lol. he passed me
I live in kitchener I have booked my road test thanks for sharing
Thanks for this. Have my test today!
How'd it go?
Hi, John, in the 19 minutes 55 seconds video footage while you are taking right, then you make right after the signal green but I think we can make right turn if there is no trafic while red signal, could you please explain the actual sceniarion for that moment..but it's really great video for the test student..Good Job..
AKM BHUYIAN I made a right on a red during my test today when it was safe and no one was crossing
AKM BHUYIAN He was probably waiting for a car on his left to come to a complete stop before turning (because some drivers don't stop at yellow)
This route is different from the one my instructor took me on earlier this month, which is where you make a left from ottawa street onto highway 7 and then turn right on edna street onto the highway again and go back to the center. My test is in 2 weeks so can someone confirm which route might be on the test?
I heard the route has changed. did you go on the way in this video or the one your instructor took you ? please confirm I have my G in few days.
thanks
This is very helpful video - great job!
Bro I love you for this
my examiner was f*cking brutal, tried to almost fail me for going too slow because I merged on to the highway at 80 instead of 90 because there was traffic and I was merging to the flow of it. She also got mad when Is stopped for a yellow that turned 30 feet in front of me. she was honestly insane. I have 5 speeding tickets and been pulled over for wreckless driving if you want some context of how I drive.
Was she a lady with curly blonde hair?
@@omalyn2081 I know exactly who you’re talking ab and she failed me on my g2😭 brutal
@@Demonicaxx I had her this morning, I passed with flying colours but I told her after she passed me to make sure the front desk got it that she needs to clean up her attitude and she fucking slammed my door. Another guy saw it and we reported her and she is now being investigated😆 Karma is a bitch my friend go fuck yourself lady
Can anyone answer why they make you parallel park for a G test? when my instructor told me to do it I was really confused as to why???
Depends. Sometimes they skip that, but it's supposed to be tested.
They either make you reverse park or parallel park to show that you can drive in reverse. Sometimes if you park in reverse at the test site they won't make you parallel park.
what’s 14:55 said?
Remember folks, this is even more simplified now post covid.
How so
@@mariomorgan6083 They removed all the parking and emergency stop stuff. It’s only highway now for the G test

When you did the parallel parking test. did you line up your car mirrors with the other car mirrors? how far you beside the other car when you started to backwards I’m going for my g license soon. I notice I didn’t see the car, when you when you stoped.
Just practice and you won't need to use all that nonsense to parallel park.
What's the speed limit on the hwy, and suburbs there?
Quarter Mile The examiner clearly said in the video at 7:32, that it's 90 km/h on the Hwy. The current speed limit, unless otherwise posted, it's 50 km/h in the Suburbs. And, residential streets are probably 40 km/h or maybe 50 km/h. It's common sense lol.
got too bored too early. pass anyways
what's the minimum time to pass G license
This is too much we do the same thing for G2 why we have to do the same thing for G ?
I failed my 1st attempt at my full G1 license because of the highway 7 ramp was small I got up to speed but couldn’t safely merge without slowing down before running out of room on the ramp
That is SO dangerous!!! People have died by not merging before the ramp ends!! You have to be assertive and let people know you're going to merge and they'd better move. So many rude drivers out there so you can't expect them to be courteous. You see a spot? Take it. They'll move.
Henry Smith I’m fully aware of that I managed to get into the lane before I ran out of room but had to slow down 1st hell my test driver said the only problem I had was on the highway but the rest of the drive was good kinda pissed me off at the time but she was doing her job and that’s all there is to it
For emergency road side park do you need to put any indicators on? I’m thinking four ways?
Taylor McConnell signal right then make a road side park then signal the emergency light (hazard signal)
Thank you so much! I passed :)
Taylor McConnell same route? I will be taking my G at the end of april. Do you guys know were can i rent a car to practice driving?
Jayskins Cristines pretty much exact same route just different side streets. You can rent a car from anywhere but I’d say get comfortable with it. You might be required to reverse. Etc,.
thanks for posting this video! I am only doing G2 but this is very helpful!
Did you pass?
Was the route similar just no highway
My g2 test tomorrow 🙏🙏
thank you for this! do you (or anyone) know if this is the same route for the M test?
11.18 why give an indicator when there is an arrow for a left turn. Others aren’t doing the same as well. Also, I believe he said exit to left, then why didn’t we take the left-most lane? pls, answer anyone. thanks
Maybe they could test these 75 plus folk that are out there and can't see.
Hi there, just wanna make sure. Can we use the back up camera ?
My car only had 3 mirrors and I still passed.
Can anyone advise on the G2 road test route for Kitchener?
They mainly take you on Ottawa street and then into the suburbs around that area!
@@alexandramorrison-saudade5946 thank you, I did it just over a week ago and passed! Unto the G now.
Wow! Almost same route I had to take for bike license back in 2008
Thank you John very cool
Thanks for this! It helps :-)
I live around this area great job on the g
Do they still use the same route ?
What was the last two questions?
Hi, i have a question. When you did the pullover 15:50 . Dou you needed put on the parking and parking brake or just stopped and did the three point turn?
You always need to use the parking brake when you do any kind of parking for the exam. So the parallel park, emergency roadside, when you park at the exam site before & at the end of your test.
It won't get you failed but it will deduct points off your end score which could get you failed if you make a bunch of little mistakes.
Are left shoulder checks necessary to pass the test?
Fraser_02 yes
they change the routes every three months sometimes you'll have to back up to sometimes you just park.
It's typically one or the other, but not both.
i'm going next month and compared to Brampton this looks easy but i'm scared
