@Joseph Giresi Yes, to use autotune you do need to be fairly close to the note, which takes talent given his range. But you're thinking of harmonies, which still doesn't create quite the same sound as autotuned harmonies. This wouldn't sound great if autotune wasn't used...

"Rewrite The Stars" is one of the songs that make me think about my boyfriend and how much I want to be with him! He's just so wonderful and amazing, and I could not possibly begin to describe how perfect he is! Thank you Jared for doing an amazing job singing that song!
Really love this one... and the greatest thing about this movie is how to makes you feel empowered. It doesn't matter who you are, what class you're in, what struggles you may have, it gives you the power so really anyone can sing it.
imagine how many times he had to rerecord when he made a mistake + the fact he had to record 20 different parts.that's just pure dedication, passion and awesomeness.
The boxes where he was just losing his shit dancing and having a ballistic blast were the cherries on top of this whole thing. Absolutely love how tangible the energy and positive vibe just flowed out during this. I think it's a safe bet he had a fun with this.

imagine how many times he had to rerecord when he made a mistake + the fact he had to record 20 different parts.that's just pure dedication, passion and awesomeness.
The boxes where he was just losing his shit dancing and having a ballistic blast were the cherries on top of this whole thing. Absolutely love how tangible the energy and positive vibe just flowed out during this. I think it's a safe bet he had a fun with this.
