Everyone wants a range test but few know its against the law. Lol. Follow the laws my fellow drone pilot. Don't get us faawk with more laws and regulations cause you losers don't follow the laws.

@johnrambo1349 I have seen a video on youtube where someone did a tange test, i want to say it was around 5 miles max before he had to turn back around.

Hello Dustin,glad you got your hands on one of these,I'm now glad I held out for the mini 4pro instead of getting the mini 3pro,as always good to watch your in depth reviews on new drones an see how the features work or not an or if DJI improved on things,also since this one now has the light on the bottom for night flights an when landing,do you think it'd be possible to do a night video kinda you did s while back in your pool with the rob drone you were reviewing you know the one with the robotic grabber arm,well anyway have a great day,looking forward to your next videos sn I'm glad DJI did get a feature on there to keep the drone from overheating,I e heard sn seem several videos of people doing reviews waiting to long to launch the mini 3 pro sn mini 3 an they over heat,unlike the air 2s an now sir 3s,I do like that DJI installed a fan in the rc2 controller I saw on a review a while back

They have now updated the mini 4 battery and it IS different and lighter too.
Also the triple charger acts as a power bank to charge the remote if required it doesn’t charge the remote until it’s charged the batteries as that port was not intended to charge the remote off mains power.

I just bought this drone with the fly more combo! I didnt get the fly more plus so Ive got the smaller batteries but itll still be rad! Im super excited to have my first flight with it!
@17:00 min or thereabouts.when talking about the charger not charging the RC until batteries are charged. The USB-A output at the bottom of the charger is designed to use the 3 batteries as a powerbank to charge other devices, controller, cell phone. Hence, once the RC begins charging, it is actually discharging the batteries.
Congrats on your new drone. Ordered mine last night since yesterday was its release date. Recently bought the Mini 3 Pro, but it was defective as the video didn't work and was refunded. So the Mini 4 Pro was sort of my replacement. Would have been pretty upset if the Mini 3 Pro hadn't been defective - lol.

Range test? Man, I could never do that, but thanks for the test, and post! I’m almost petrified if I loose my ‘line of sight’…so I’ve repeatedly tested the RTH to my confidence! I laugh sometimes because it’s like it sneaks up on me, suddenly there it’s hovering overhead right before it descends to land! Thanks a bunch!
Can the DJI mic be plugged into the controller? It is not the same as the Mini3pro with screen with the cover and two USB c slots.

So really just all round obstacle avoidance and and few more fps in 4k ? Will wait to the 5 or even maybe the 6 😎 how far can they really go with the mini series ?
The Mini 4 seems like the ultimate evolution of the mini series. I want to see LTE connectivity, and wish for backwards compatibility with Integra Googles etc.

i have mini 3 and 4 and ocusync 4 has lots more range, is 4 controller compatible with any 3? i dont think so?

First, I apologize this question is not related to this video. I would appreciate your feedback on it anyway: I have question since I really need the obstacle avoidness from crashing my last with no obstacle avoidness avoidness. The mini 3 pro which has it. I wasn't able to get it due to availability. The mini 4 not yet released at the time of purchase. Did I make a mistake in buying air 3? Can I still learn it and be successful still at basically a beginner level with drones.

I just had one for my birthday, and this thing is absolutely amazing.
Be aware and don't trust obstacle avoidance too much because I've crashed into the tree on my first flight. However, DJI was super helpful, and after assessing the damage, they sent me a brand new one with a little fee.
Insure your machine with DJI Protect, and they will help you out in five working days.
From now on, I will be a lot more careful while flying, but fair play to DJI for such a flawless and quick response.
I'm just waiting for the weather to improve and we are going to practice some more.
Great machine. Highly recommend.
The obstacle avoidance is good not perfect. Thin branches of trees without leaves, and power lines are big culprits. I would watch out for some fences too. The Mini 4 Pro is perfect. Excellent signal strength, great camera and portable.

I heard that reflective stickers will scare birds off. My drone looks so pretty with them. Looks like a british Police car. :D
@@arth0044N I’ve been chased by a flock of birds. I didn’t know they were camped out in a few trees. It looked like a swarm coming for my drone. I’ve had single birds chase and dive at my drones. I didn’t know one was chasing me on one flight until I reviewed the video afterwards. I’ll try stickers if they’re effective.
@arth0044N There are adhesive strobe lights available for your drone. They are more effective at keeping birds away. They don't like it.
@ozymandias7940 With this reflective stickers I am doing just fine. No problems so far.
Love your videos and tests. If you were to guess, how long would the DJI Mini Pro with the large batter last if you were in "Hover" mode only?

Yes, it's the same controller using Ocusync 4. You can bind it up 🍻
Hopefully they release the activetrack360 to air3 soon. Instead of calling it mini4 pro I would call it Air3 mini lol. Basically a slower air3 without the 70mm tele cam
Dustin does this have the option to get the extended battery plus like on the mini 3 pro? I started to wait and order this today but I decided to order the air 3 instead because knowing how DJI drones have worked in the past they will probably have to release a few firmware updates to fix any bugs or issues like they always do with a new product so I will wait about a month or so before ordering it. My air 3 will be delivered Wednesday I can’t wait to fly it

Sadly its not compatible as the wide angle lens too

you need to mention for drone or remote, should do short press and long press again. I was struggling to find out why it wasn't working. finally, I found it in another video!!!! OR you may write in the video title, this is not for beginners!!!
That's the usual method for powering on DJI drones.

Good afternoon Dustin, I’d like to know if you could tell me, how to get my drones repaired, I have the mini three pro, and the maverick classic three, they both have Gimble damage. Do you know a way, where I could call or send them in for Repair? And maybe a ballpark figure on price? 10:40
Contact DJI service and put in a ticket. All repairs I've done (mini 3 pro) were at no charge or less than $100 🍻

If that mini 4 is strong ass the mavic air 2 that i lost it i probably get that one the problem with the minis they dont handle the winds like the big ones but dji always making best drones

I am in Canada. I want to save in outlay. Do you have any advice regarding the technical preference for using the RC2 as opposed to the RC with my cell phone? Other than comfort and convenience would I be at a disadvantage?

Look. Depends of your budget.
I have this newest one with the screen and antenas, which is top of the range and your phone is in your pocket just giving you WiFi signal.
If I was you, I would get the newest controller, because you have worry free experience for years to come.
All of them are good, to be honest, but this setup is absolutely amazing.

no you can't do that!
I am being told when you buy the Mini 4 "plus" only 1 of the 3 batteries you receive is the 45 minute battery, the other 2 are normal 34 minute batteries?
On the box it says 43min x 3 so I would assume that means all 3 give you 45min

My drone never shows satellites inside my home. Since i live in the West Virginia mountains, I have to set the RTH function to the maximum altitude. My first drone crashed into a tree because I hadn't raised the height.The Optimal setting would be a waste of time as there are many, many trees.

If it has a camera, it would have to have an SD card to record footage. Have you read the manual that came with the drone? Googled it even?

I have DJI Mini 3 pro and I LOVE IT! I don't see any good reason to purchase Mini 4 pro. I am just curious about the range, whether there is truly a significant difference between mini3 and mini 4?
The 4 uses the new Ocusync 4 which almost doubles the transmission range compared to O3. You'll notice much better penetration through obstacles as well 🍻
No 4 also has HDR...
