    I'm so glad they sent YOU the drone, because you're the only one I know who will tell us and show us the most details, that nobody else will. I'm not interested only in the footage, but also the features, flight perfomance, and much more, and I know exactly that all of my questions will be answered in your videos.

    I don’t have the 1500 quid right now (for the full set including the fly more and rc2) but I’m excited to save up for it for the next few months. I’ve sold my phantom 4 a few years ago because it was too heavy regulation wise, the lighter drones where way too light and way too sensitive to wind, so I’ve been waiting for years for this product. The air 2s just wasn’t “it” and the mavic 3 pro was way too much money. Seems this is the perfect drone for a lot of people. I truly appreciated this video, going very deep into detail which I really think is a must for any good review of a new product! Thank you!

    DJI FINALLY fixed the issue of prop and power button placement on the drone. I along with many others have experienced the drone powering itself in the bag because the power button would get pressed by the props. Now they are separated. Hopefully the new placement of the button is still not prone to accidental presses in the bag.

    Recently bought the Air 3 fly more bundle (not free). Its a high quality, state-of-art drone. What others need to beware of is that they don't include a USB power charger. While this might not seem to be a big deal because most people have a couple USB chargers laying around, but the AIR 3 realistically requires a 65 watt charger to charge the batteries in a reasonable amount of time. I used a standard USB charger and it took about 18 hours to charge the batteries, thus I had to buy a 65 Watt charger. It is puzzling that if a person is spending over $1350 for a drone, why does DJI skip out on the charger, or warn customers that a 65 watt charger is strongly recommended.

      Just got mine today. I'm using the apple brick from my M1, takes about 1 or 1 and a half hours to charge each battery. It is a 130 watt charger

    • @Baleur
      @Baleur 4 месяца назад +1

      Its because if they include the charger, they have to customize each shipped box with country-specific chargers (for the wall sockets).
      While if they dont include it, they can ship the exact same box from the same factory to the entire world, without changing anything.

    On my second flight of the Air 3, I unintentionally flew too close to a tree that had lost all of its leaves, the Air 3 did not detect the outer branches and got hung up. I was lucky because it was only 7-8 feet off the ground and was able to safely retrieve the done without damage. It was a good lesson not to rely on the built-in avoidance to always prevent collisions. Likely to be a problem with power lines and other thin structures.

    • @w.e.s.
      @w.e.s. 5 месяцев назад

      They need to get rid of obstacle avoidance. It's a false sense of security. It's dangerous. I've flowm for 4 years and never used that garbage

    • @Baleur
      @Baleur 4 месяца назад +1

      If you guys actually took your license you'd know that its your responsibility to fly safe (for the drone's sake), not to rely on automated systems. Naturally i cant pick up thin objects or it'd pick up its own arms and propellers.
      It's there for if you lose connection to the drone and it has to return home automatically, it wont just blindly run into a huge rock or building.
      It's not there for you to close your eyes and hold forward.

    • @DustinDunnill
      @DustinDunnill  4 месяца назад +1

      I like closing my eyes to see if drones can do what brands claim.
      Do you have your drivers license? Then STOP SPEEDING and don't be a hypocrite. Your 1million more times likely to cause damage or injury driving, not testing a drones auto tracking and avoidance capabilities in the forest 🤷‍♂️😂🤗

    Just got mine a couple of days ago. I dont know why they switched from zippers to latch and with the block of foam inside, the drone sticks out so much that the lid is actually pressing down on the drone. Doesn't seem like a "dustproof" bag for sure.
    I'm wondering if the foam provide any extra protection cuz removing it definitely sits the drone lower thus the lid can close properly

    • @DustinDunnill
      @DustinDunnill  11 месяцев назад +3

      I'm pretty sure the foam is mainly for shipping. I ended up cutting it and just placing a thin flat layer at bottom. Adds some ground protection and the drone doesn't stick up nearly as much 🍻

    Before boarding a plane in Mexico, the officer questioned the size/power of the batteries of my Mavic Air 2.
    Does any one know if these new bigger batteries would be allowed to take on your overhead luggage?

    • @paulerich6543
      @paulerich6543 11 месяцев назад

      Man in mexico officially you are not even allowed to fly drones if you dont have a mexican passport. Super strange. I still fly my mini 3 pro with no issues. I just make sure there is no police near me when starting or landing. For over 250 gramm drones you have to register them. Anyhow just put the drone and everything accept of the batteries into the checkin luggage and only take the batteries into the overhead luggage. The batteries should be fine in your hand luggage.

      @@paulerich6543 From my experience, the rules are rarely enforced and it also depends where you are flying. Archeological zones are definitely off limits, but you can always take off from a distance if you must get that shot. I usually fly in rural areas so if anything, local authorities are curious. I'm Mexican though, that might make a difference on how you get treated.
      The airline lady, actually checked for the amperage and told me a max number that is allowed. That is why I'm wondering if these new larger batteries would be an issue. I hope not, because I'll very likely get this drone.

      @@amlove2024 I'm not sure what the regulations are in Mexico but in the US, the maximum battery size is 100 watt-hours. Each Air 3 battery is 60 Wh, so you'd be fine in the US.

    HEY THERE IS A POWER ACCUMULATION FUNCTION ON THE BATTERY CHARGING HUB WHERE IT CHARGES THE BATTERY WITH THE MOST CHARGE LEFT FROM THE OTHER 2 BATTERIES AND YOU CAN ACTIVATE IT BY HOLDING THE FUNCTION BUTTON ON THE CHARGING HUB AFTER PRESSING THE BUTTON ONCE ON EVERY BATTERY
    Edit: QUICK TRANSFER IS FINALLY AVAILABLE WHICH CAN LET YOU TRANSFER FILES FROM THE AIR3 TO YOUR FLY APP ON YOUR PHONE

      @@HungaryDrone I think the mini 3 is very under rated. I have been flying mine for a few months every day and I am still blown away by the pictures and super clean video. It is fast (customizable in every speed) and it flys miles more then I use, but man is it tough as I have bashed it good a few times testing the different configs. I have my set for the 1080p LG 60 in the basement and it looks fantastic. I have a few UV filters I keep an 8 on with polarization the standard config for pics in cyn modewith -.03 comp and on sunny bright days I might go higher, but regardless, I think even the mini 3 pro is another under rated drone. Also very good pics and film, I think 4k @120 fps and all the goodies to go with and ocusync 03 12 K range. So what does the new one do and how much is baseplate. I might review one and then tell the diffs. Thank Man Enjoy

      Ha Ha Ha~ Don't think the so called Air 3S( Maybe called the Air 3Pro just like the traditional naming style of M3Pro/Mini 3Pro) will reuse the larger 1" sensor for the Air 3Pro, it's because when the Air 3Pro comes out maybe with 3 cameras just the the Mavic 3Pro did, if DJI wanted to squeezed 3 cameras into the smaller body of Air 3Pro, then the results will be just keeping use the old 1/1.3" sensor for saving the rooms for the gimbal, of course this is only my personal thought.

    Pretty good as a drone but DJI overdid it. The controller is very plastic and even more plastic the washer for operating the camera. But the worst thing is that the simple version does not have a charger in the package. Only one type-c cable. Whenever he charges the battery on the drone with a mobile phone charger, for example, it takes a long time to charge the controller with another cable (type-c) again from a mobile phone charger (if you don't have another) that also takes a long time to wear. It's like forcing him to get the combo package or a separate extra charger from DJI.

      Anker makes a very good charger plug with two USB-C inputs that I highly recommend. It charges my iPhone and iPad about 40% faster than an apple plug that comes with these devices. It’s a light blue color, well built, and can be found on Amazon.
      I see friends using cheap charger plugs like you’ll find at the checkout counter in convenience stores. I try to warn them about using these lightweight plugs. Aside from the fact that they can damage the battery on your expensive electronics, they can potentially cause a fire in the middle of the night and burn your house down - with you in it.
