I do a lot of underwater color correction. And very often I have to think a long time about color details and try things out. I also do my corrections using adjustment layers. This method is genius and makes things very easy to compare. Why haven't I used this before? :-) Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for your kind words! Man, I want to do a video on colour correcting underwater footage because this is such an underrepresented topic. Will do that in the future! Let me know if there is anything you think I should cover/take a look at!
Of course, you can do as many as you want! Just go to the version you want to duplicate and duplicate it. Or, you can also choose to create a new version from the unedited clip. :)
Haha, I know the feeling! Usually, I despise what I’ve done after a couple of days. Sometimes, also how I did things. Don’t worry, we’ve all been there. As for the shirts, I’m always open for recommendations! :D
I always freakin' forget about auditions. Thanks for the reminder dude!
Yep, hugely underrated. Thanks!
Wow! This is awesome! I used to duplicate my clip, apply two different adjustments to preview each :D
Haha, yes! So many people do this. But it's so clunky and wastes so much time! I'm happy that this helped! :D
Working with FCP for about 10 years and never knew this exists 😳
Same! Been using FCPx for 12 years and never used the audition feature haha - seems useful!
It's super useful! Great that I could share something new! Saves a lot of time. :)
I need to use this feature more. Thanks for sharing, Eric! 👍🏻
Any time! :)
Well explained. Thank you
Thank you! :)

@@iamericlenz That sounds great! .-) I am going to send you an e-mail to your hey@ address on your website soon.
Nice to know you can do this to Adjustment Layers.
Love the shirt! Why don't other colorists vary their wardrobe?
Haha, thank you so much! :)
Can do more than 2 versions in an audition by duplicating the last auditioned clip as an auction and it will add to the original audition?

This is awesome. Been using Final Cut for a decade, never used this. Does it kill the cpu if you’ve got a lot of it?
As far as I'm concerned, no. The other versions aren't being rendered. But it might depend on your machine. :)
I wish I’d known this two days ago. Your skill is beginning to annoy me - but I do have better shirts. 😊

Nobody has better shirts than Eric.
