Yay! I'm glad it worked! I want other people to get as excited about them as I am, but it's always a challenge to walk that line of saying enough, but not too much.
These sound so amazing! Thank you for reviewing them and putting them on my radar. I can't wait until my library fully reopens, I have a big list of things to check out!
It is so amazing! I think anyone who likes fantasy would enjoy this series. I didn't start reading middle grade until a year or so ago, and now I'm hooked - the modern stuff is ridiculously good!
I am glad I found this video because I have already read a dash of trouble and I got a sprinkle of spirits and a mixture of mischief for my birthday and I am currently reading them and I was confused on whitch one was the second book
It's a great series! I hope you enjoy the rest of it. Goodreads also will always list whichever number a book is in a series if you ever need to look that up for another series, by the way.
I listened to Midsummer's Mayhem by Rajani LaRocca today, and it made me think of this series, and that made me think of you! :) It's a MG Midsummer Night's Dream retelling with Indian food and baking. I wish it was more original, instead of a retelling, but the baking and food aspects were very much there, and there are recipes at the end of the book. There's this one dish, kothu chapati I think (again, audiobook, so not 100% sure) which almost made me cry it sounded so good! I'm vegan and the dish had meat, and I don't usually like food descriptions in books for this very reason, but it sounded so good I was able to imagine the vegan version as I was listening! I'm now off to make garlic naan, because it's the closest I can get to what was described at 9PM :D
Oh, I've heard of that book!! I love Indian food (although we just do vegetarian dishes as well), so that makes it sound even more appealing. I'll have to see if I can bump that up on my TBR.
I love these reviews, they help knowing enough about the book to pull you in and avoid spoilers at the same time.

They are such great reads! I hope you're able to get to them eventually. I just found they really brightened any week I picked them up!
this series sounds amazing! i don't often read middle grade, but if i am in the mood i will definitely keep this trilogy in mind.

This seems like such a cute series! I need to see if I can get these on ebook, as my library doesn't seem to have them.
It really is the sweetest! I hope you're able to get access to the books somehow.

FWIW the story in Love Sugar Magic is much more interesting, but for whatever reason the food spoke to me more in this one :)
