Finished reading this one last week, and again really enjoyed Richard's writing style. At the end of the audiobook there was an interview and Richard said he's currently working on the 4th book, which I'm looking forward to. He spoke about a funny quote in the 3rd book which I was reminded of when you were giving your quote picks. In this book, Joyce comments about a place not having a Waitrose, that she thinks she'd read somewhere that there was one but there wasn't. This is a reference to book 1 where apparently Richard has a character visiting a Waitrose in a major town, however there isn't one. He got a bit of flack over it, so it's a tongue in cheek reference to that 🤣, to his fact check stuff up.
I'm so pleased to hear that you enjoyed this book. I'm very much looking forward to reading the 4th book in the series too. Thanks for sharing that with me. What a great anecdote ☺
Just finished reading it (a little late I know) but I must agree it’s an absolutely charming addition to the other two books. Honestly Joyce reminds me so much of the typical ‘nanny’ in places, even my own! 😂
Thanks for sharing this with us. I didn’t read the first 2 books and i have this book “The bullet that missed “with me. Do you think that I can read it without read the first 2 books?
I think you could read it without having read the first two books. It is a fully contained mystery. But I think you would really enjoy the relationships between all of the characters and the chatacter development more by having read the first two books. Hope that helps! ☺
