I this is why when i saw him in 1979 at the garden in NYC a guy with one album played for well over 3 hours .The next week i saw rhe beach boys who had 25 years worth of music and played for 45 min . Best $12.50 i ever spent in my life.
I just realized something odd/interesting. The live drummer here is the amazing Chuck Bürgi (Brand X, Rainbow, Blue Öyster Cult, Hall & Oates, etc...). The studio version of this song was recorded by Billy Joel’s longtime drummer Liberty DeVitto. Billy Joel’s current longtime drummer... you guessed it. Chuck Bürgi.
Love this one, love how he does it into more than just a live song, he makes it a theatre.. with music.. a... musical, with one song. =o Sure, not his best preformance of the song, but still one of my favourites.
I like how he's trying to be more funny. I'm sorry but when I see the interviews from when he was younger, he comes across stuck up to me. Which is hard for me to say because I bet when you're famous, your running around to Interviews, rehearsals, to press conferences etc. But in the interviews when he was younger, he came across like the interviews were a waste of time and the questions were stupid. Again it's hard for me to say this to because Yes, it's really frustrating when you're asked the same questions over and over again. But cone on dude, have fun with it. Now their was one interview where he was chill and laughing. But yeah. You know what I mean? What's your opinion on what I said? Am I wrong for thinking this?
One half of the Goff sisters did a great performance on this song. If she was bad she would not had got through the audition. I think it's a bit harsh comparing her to Cher. That's the beauty of seeing a live performance. Sometimes stage versions are better than the original album version. Songs evolve on stage. If you want to hear the album version on stage, I suggest you stay at home and play your CDs.
Hey anyone who has been to his concert. I’m curious. Did he ever talk to the fans between songs like other singers do? I never went to one of his concerts because I didn’t know he existed until a week after he died
When i saw him he interacted more with the other musicians . He did look out at thr audinece and make jestures but not like the musicians of today. It wasnt commonplace back than. After all Howard stern was the first broadcaster ever to talk to his co anchor
@@biguy617 Pearo sings with him in Couldn't Have Said It Better. Amanda has Instagram. And they look othing like these girls. They are Elaine and Amy Goff.

Pretty good version though Cher was much better. I don't think that the hypnosis bit at the end was needed or funny. Today that bit would really get criticized.
What a lacklustre performance. Poor vocals, even poorer guitar playing. Plus it's far two fast. I wish I had more hands so I could give this video - FOUR THUMBS DOWN!

My ticket on 27th Jan 1990 was £12.50!! Best concert I EVER attended! This EXACT lineup too!
Meat Loaf in his best days🤟
With Bob Kulick, Bruce's brother, on lead guitar!!! ❤❤❤😊😊😊
I love this style of Dead Ringer For Love
Fantastic performance. It's what I expect from Meat Loaf. Pity I wasn't old enough to go to concerts in the 80s.
Saw his exact lineup in Dublin 1990. Truly incredible. Every concert since, there have been 100s of many different kinds. None have equalled Meat.

12 years later I got to see Bat Outta Hell The Musical Live in Las Vegas. It was so beautiful I cried the majority of the show.
This is a prime Meatloaf live show and the Goff sisters are terrific! Great video.
LOL at people criticising the girl singing. Better looking, more talented, more fun than anyone I've seen in a long time. Bring back the eighties!
I think it's unfair to compare the Goff sisters to Cher. They've both done a good job.
this live was 87.and you coming to say LOL. is the funniest thing. you play habbo?
Not great singer, though. But she had a hard act live up to --- if I were a girl singer, I wouldn't want step into Cher's shoes.
Bob Kulick is on fire here.
ONE night with those twins... just ONE night...

It's true - his performances are really theatrical.
He started life as an actor who happens to have a great voice with an amazing range. He's a one off.
Exactly how my dad described it who was lucky to see him live. 10 years before my time unfortunately..
WoW flashback to the Chestnut Cabaret in Philadelphia. AWESOME memories
Podia ter se apresentado mais vezes com Cher.🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷👏👏👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏🙏descanse agora, Meat....em breve a gente se encontra nessa imensa eternidade.
I love it❤❤❤😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Great! Thanks for uploading.
Just concentrate your ears on the drumming. Its as good as it gets.
You're right, it's perfect.
You’re damned right. That’s because it’s the mighty Chuck Bürgi laying down the thunder!
The Goff twin Meat chooses is really pretty!!!!
Wow
When she says joint and point, I think it's cool how she says it
Man.... I wish Cher did this with him live. Was it just me, or they had great chemistry in the video? Then again that's acting for ya...
Me too
Why cant women these days dress like it was the 80's? Its so hot!!
Man she's an expert at doing the mannequin
Both of them backing singers were brutal

Well we should get together sometime...

May I post this to my Social Medias and put your name on it so they know it's not mine?
Which one is Elaine and which one is Amy? Because I think they look like twins. Maybe that’s because they are dressed the same.
Is this Amy or Elaine Goff
Elaine is the girl singing with Meat Loaf.

Who are the two girls? I want look them up
Those are Meat's two daughters. Pearl and Amanda
