Just a head's up, everyone: David Phan was not the executive producer of CoH3 on release. He took over at some point and from that point onwards, the game's quality increased dramatically with each update. Give that guy some love, it's well-deserved.
Doing great in my book. 2024 has been good to CoH3- I've finally gotten my friends and family to switch over, and I think they've really been enjoying it!
Long time CoH fan. I honestly thought you guys were gonna bury your heads into the sand and just say "gg go next" but you really stuck to it. Respect, keen to try out the game again.
Finally someone who admits that they are hard at work. Every time I pick the game, I always have a good time, Skirmish or Single-player campaign whatever.
i just dont understand how no one remembers how big of a pile of dog crap coh2 was when it came out. They did the exact same thing and improved it over the years.

I waited so long for this game to come out and to play it on console and when it did i couldnt stop playing it ive been waiting so long for content then just like that stabbed right in the gut no more updates or support im a big rts fan really looked forward to watch and play the game as it grows but now i guess ill watch it grow on youtube 😢

Maybe it was a sega studio that was responsible for the console (what i want to say is that the team working on console might have been on sega side and not relic side) and not the job of relic idk

They should never have even made it. Not your fault, but they should never have made it, the game is not suitable for controller. and Yes, I mean any RTS, age of empires 4 also.

Depends how you define polished. The visual and audio design is mostly better, more atmospheric, and more detailed, not in terms of fidelity but rather the little touches. This was probably because CoH1 was made by a much bigger team and probably a more passionate one, that was cut down significantly once Relic's publisher went out of business and they were auctioned off to SEGA for cheap. The gameplay, performance, quality of life features, replays and pathfinding are significantly more polished in CoH 2 and 3, but especially 3 after a few patches. They had clear design goals for the gameplay and systems, but poor vision for the visuals and sounds, though they've improved significantly since launch and continue to do so.
That is looking fire, that Goliath explosion & debris plumes! Soundtrack complete rework now, make it happen!! Bring back the dope CoH1 faction themes & intensity dynamics!! 🔥

Relic then tried to help then speed it up and only thanks Relic you got some 0updates after early ones... Then Sega did not give them tools to maintain the console version, after they split up. I quess bad managment was also part of Sega.... And some of bad "managers" were fired.
So when is all of this coming to the console edition? Primarily talking about the Australian Defense and Battlefield Espionage battle groups. We got the American and Whermact battle groups, it would be nice to have the other two as well

Thanks for upgrading the game we love, also take into consideration to add a description of the abilities and upgrades for the units in the load up screen that way we can learn about the units while we're waiting for a match, also a background story about how those units were used in battle or what they did would be nice too, and also make this units in 3D models so that we can zoom in and see how they look with the different skins in the loadout screen thanks!
Bring in more damn units! Also a heavy AT gun for Daka would be nice ffs.. third building is basically obsolete by the time they come out and every teams engineer should be able to build fortifications.. ridiculous they can't!!
I am also a huge fan of the series and have been playing since the days of COH 1. I feel, as so do many others, that COH 3 is going in the right direction and this installment in the series is finally reaching a point where it has become enjoyable to play again for all players of the franchise. I am excited to see what they have in store for us throughout this year. One thing I would like to see more of in the future is more official maps being released. Even if they are some re-worked masterpieces from prior entries in the series. I would also like to see more cosmetics available than just for units. Other than that, keep up the good work!
You're out of your depth mate, 4 brand new huge battlegroups, 4 factions, 2 campaigns... and you still want more when it's already more than we ever had in the same time frame x) Game modes are what's needed, like they had planned! Tank battle royal, Operation (coop survival ala CoH1), stuff like that :°
Thanks for continuing to make this game better. I stopped after the first month and rotate between COH1 and COH2 for now until COH 3 is up to par with the fit and finish of coh 1/2. I always check out a new patch with a few matches , cant wait for the next!
I would like the level of environmental destruction from COH1 to return! It's also worth noting the bug where, after selecting multiple artillery units, they don't fire simultaneously. I would also expect more complex and interesting doctrines like in COH1. I'm glad you're independent, and as a fan, I trust you and think that parting ways with SEGA is the best thing that could have happened because the publisher was only holding you back. Best regards!

Make A.I. fight in their own lane … for example 4v4 comp stomp, starting position 1 with fight on 3 lanes north of the map. Starting position 2 will fight 3 lane, his, help north and south lane closed to him. Starting position 3 the same and 4 will hold the south of the map and so on. Delete a bridge path for A.I. travel path until they reach half way point of the map ( near victory points ). Then they can cross and intersect and help each other.
Game is improving a lot lately. Disappointed to not see new battle groups though. Lack of variety and the grind since drop boxes have disappeared are the only downside for me now
The game is fun to play online, story mode was bad and still is. The game lacks so much in fidelity, which i don't think they could overcome so much with the current game engine. But I rather play a fun game with low fidelity than a boring one with shiny graphics.

This is all good to hear. I’ve got more hours in COH games than all of the other games combined. Due to reviews, I did not buy COH3 at launch and have waited to see if the major issues were being addressed. I have to admit, I’m almost there but really don’t want to be disappointed by this franchise.

The main reason why consolers are angry is bc it DOES run so well and its a phenomenal rts (albeit again, for consoles) that theres nothing really close to it. Sure, theres things wrong with it feature-wise that OG 1&2 players have stated, but its solid. The console port was nothing but simply a quick gofundme to help flesh out the PC version. I half get it, bigger player base on PC, but damn lol, like consolers got $$$ to spend too! Lol
I would recommend to make more national battlegroups add ons or even better a new factions. Italian front was famous from helding people from entire world: Brazilians Franch, Poles, Australians, Indians, South Africans, etc. Plenty options to choose from.
i wanna throw out. LOVE the map update deal. i was a hardcore coh2 lover n player. (im not Great at it. i prefer just relaxing as i play but i love it) and i often said, before coh3 was comin out. if you guys put out like. one new map a month or every other month. that game would have endless replayability. its only its Map Scarcity over time. that killed its replayability. also. snow maps rock. some iconic great snow maps on COH2. would love to see n feel that eventually in coh3. even if it takes some years.

Calling "Camera Shake" as major update as "quick briefing" is crazy. These new "academic" money grabber "Developing managers", Chat GDP certified clowns discusting me too much. A whole two years for overall new UI, this is just pathetic. Invest on the devs and the game, stop trying begin "rich" from game development, that's not the whole idea. Reform the game managner now Relic you are losing valuable reputation here. You might caught the veterans into your filthy money trap, but in the future, expect no costumers, and end up like activision.
A pathetic showing compared to the amount of time past. And the game is still below 1 and 2 in sound, UI and artstyle. Its ridiculous. 1.5 years and I still cant play properly because the UI is enormous and ui scalling is not there like in 2...
Honestly I don't like the casual maps. I feel like they should focus on competetive multiplayer maps which can also be played in casual. We already have loads of casual maps with the workshop fanmade maps and everything. We just need more in the pool.
I am going to be 100% honest. The game has gotten really good updates. I've kept up with them but I've actually not picked the game up since release. Why? I am waiting for a faction dlc drop or something other equally as big. I think something like that is what this game needs the most. Might seem dumb to some to wait for that but hey it would give me reassurance for the games future etc. Edit: To be fair if they keep dropping medium size patches this much to the future I will most likely pick this game up anyway at some point

He is doing great work. He had sooooo much fixing to do when he came in... the game was basically in alpha/beta in terms of bugs and balance.
Bring back the gorgeous sounds we had in the alpha testing and being able to put units in the same buildings as teammates
Hell yes! So many great sounds were swapped for no good reason, there was a lot more fidelity & clarity in the alpha (ignoring the mixing problems)!
Sound is def one of the biggest id say go to's to give it the same heavy hitting atmospheric nature coh2 has. Some iconic af songs to me in coh2 now

Very excited! I've been a player since CoH1, really got into multiplayer through CoH2, and have just recently started playing CoH3 a bunch.

I would recommend to make more national battlegroups add ons or even better a new factions. Italian front was famous from helding people from entire world: Brazilians Franch, Poles, Australians, Indians, South Africans, etc. Plenty options to choose from.

i wanna throw out. LOVE the map update deal. i was a hardcore coh2 lover n player. (im not Great at it. i prefer just relaxing as i play but i love it) and i often said, before coh3 was comin out. if you guys put out like. one new map a month or every other month. that game would have endless replayability. its only its Map Scarcity over time. that killed its replayability. also. snow maps rock. some iconic great snow maps on COH2. would love to see n feel that eventually in coh3. even if it takes some years.

Yes, your game is at the alpha test level! The fact that in a year you have not been able to improve the sound in the game says a lot about the fact that the game is at an extremely low level and you still have a lot of work to do!

We want german voicelines. In coh1 it was so iconic to have the germans scream in german and the americans shout in english back.
Calling "Camera Shake" as major update as "quick briefing" is crazy. These new "academic" money grabber "Developing managers", Chat GDP certified clowns discusting me too much. A whole two years for overall new UI, this is just pathetic. Invest on the devs and the game, stop trying begin "rich" from game development, that's not the whole idea. Reform the game managner now Relic you are losing valuable reputation here. You might caught the veterans into your filthy money trap, but in the future, expect no costumers, and end up like activision.

A pathetic showing compared to the amount of time past. And the game is still below 1 and 2 in sound, UI and artstyle. Its ridiculous. 1.5 years and I still cant play properly because the UI is enormous and ui scalling is not there like in 2...

Honestly I don't like the casual maps. I feel like they should focus on competetive multiplayer maps which can also be played in casual. We already have loads of casual maps with the workshop fanmade maps and everything. We just need more in the pool.

I am going to be 100% honest. The game has gotten really good updates. I've kept up with them but I've actually not picked the game up since release.
Why?
I am waiting for a faction dlc drop or something other equally as big. I think something like that is what this game needs the most.
Might seem dumb to some to wait for that but hey it would give me reassurance for the games future etc.
Edit: To be fair if they keep dropping medium size patches this much to the future I will most likely pick this game up anyway at some point

@@johnpavlock06 just try to make do with what you got there's still plenty of content so try and experiment I personally like to try and see how long I can maks the battles go on for in vs AI without loosing
@@AutumnThe_Toaster I'll have to try that. I finished the dynamic campaign and I'm almost done with the Afrika Corps campaign and tried a little bit of the ai skirmishes for fun so that'll be fun to do when I'm done
