Even if he deleted them immediately and has no such interest in such images of children, in the literal sense of the charge, yes, he would still be guilty. The report said that the prosecution stated that Edwards said to this other individual not to send anything illegal so that will be in his favour. Given the man who distributed them to him received a suspended sentence he cannot possibly be given a custodial sentence for receiving them. That would immediately lead to a successful appeal. Distribution is a more serious element of the offence.

One of the reasons why he suffered from mental health, issues after these images were shown to him was because he was caught. What would have happened if he hadn't been caught. It would have continued no dought.

It's legal terminology -not sensationolising or exaggerating. 'Making' is defined differently under the law, so is 'rape' so is 'insanity'. Legal definitions are slightly different to how the words are usually used outside of a courtroom

I am someone who follows UK news from time to time. I noticed that if the criminal have any origine outside of the UK the far-right groups and media would use this as a campaign against multiculturalism and immigrants. However, it the person in question is someone who originated in the UK - these UKIP and far-right are absent from the comment section.

Given the man who distributed them to him received a suspended sentence he cannot possibly be given a custodial sentence for receiving them. That would immediately lead to a successful appeal. Distribution is a more serious element of the offence.
