- The Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens of Kandy Sri Lanka is known to be one of the best in Asia. The botanical gardens are 5.5 KM West of the city of Kandy so it isn't on everyone's Kandy travel itinerary. But today I will visit the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens of Kandy and decide, it is worth it?

if you are still in kandy get arranged a tour to university of peradeniya . Such a beautiful place . And also check on hanthana hike which is one of the hardest but remarkable hikes in srilanka .❤

There's is also a place in here where you see bats in large numbers and at times they get quite freaky, crazy and noisy too...😂❤️

Yess I have heard about this tree! I couldn't find it, but luckily in Tissa I saw trees filled with bats, really an interesting sight to see! Especially when they fly off in the evening! 😄
And doing my best to get back to all the comments Gams, but it is the holidays here so also trying to spend valuable time with friends and family! But I get back as soon as I can 😄
Hakgala botanical garden in Nuwara Eliya would be a different experience. You can see there trees growing 1800m above the sea level

This video series goes back to my childhood memories.when I was a child I did my studies in kandy. I have participate many extra curriculum activities such as paper chasing,hiking etc when we were boarding we used to participate paper chasing every months. I can still remember we used to swim ' mahaweli River ' near peradeniya botanical Gardens.( at Maddas Home )

U should visit peradeniya university
Don't go inside the university! The students think that the university belongs to them and might attack you! Even if you call 119 first responders cannot come inside university premises. Crazy students and crazy laws at these state run universities. Thank God at least in USA they have campus police if an emergency take palce.

Why it looks deserted?
I thought the same😅 but I think it's reasonable Srilanka is a tropical country and she went their in December so around this time of the year( at least till february ) u don't get to see many flowers bloom...If u wanna see flowers and a nice environment over here I recommend u to search/visit Srilanka around March- May...It's way nicer around that time and u might be able to see many festivities too(if u r a Srilankan then can't do anything about it 😂 just saying don't mind me)

She said it was Rs.2000 right it was way cheaper back then but I think the price has increased...For a local the price of a ticket would be around Rs.100-300 I'm not sure about it but for a foreigner it's around Rs.1500-2000 I guess
