- It is early morning in Dambulla because today we will be doing a sunrise hike to the top of Pidurangala for the famous views of the Lion's Rock of Sigiriya. If this is not on your itinerary for when you visit Sri Lanka, then it definitely should be.

Sigiri is a beautiful palace..do you know the history ? It is amazing.7000 years ago, Rawana was king there.

Sri Lanka has eight UNESCO World Heritage sites, six cultural and two natural. Sigiriya is on this list. If your objective is to climb a rock and see the view it does not matter if you climb Pidurangala or Sigiriya. But if you are interested in history and want to see the ancient ruins foreigners do have to pay $30 for Sigiriya.
Yes but the view from Pidurangala overlooking Sigiriya is also very very impressive! Just in case for anyone who wants to also see Sigiriya from a different perspective 😊🙏

I think it's a must to visit lions rock (Sigiriya) specially as a tourist since you may not get other chance. Really disappointed hearing that entrance ticket price is that much high. 💔

Done sigirya a couple of times but not the pidurangala and this video had really piqued my interest to do it sometime soon..
That scooter drive off the beaten track was awesome and it was bit scary too but you made it without any major dramas along the way to the entrance of pidurangala..👍❤️😂
Glad you have outsmarted that ticket guy at the entrance who wanted to entrust a guide and he was blatantly making up stories and saying the trek was slippery and blah blah, due to overnight rain but you had noticed in the morning that it wasn't before you undertook the trek .. .. I see this dodgy tactic at these sites quite often and they ostensibly try to hoodwink guests to believe in what they are saying in order for themselves to earn a quick buck at the expense of their bullshit lies.. 🤭😂😡

At the beginning I was wondering what on earth are you guys doing riding a scooter. But towards the middle of the video you shed some light on the reality of the heroic act you guys did riding a scooter through the elephant infested region. I would NOT do what you guys did! It is absolutely true that there are deaths occurring due to elephant attacks. It's just that you must have the proper gear. Like what you said a larger vehicle and only tread on paths secured for tourists and general public. Here or for that matter anywhere else, I would not try to explore or be too adventures areas off the path. Nice video as always!

I have been to Indonesia but not to Bali. I heard and seen pictures and vicious. So very beautiful. You may check on internet. I am sure you will enjoy the place.
Don't get me wrong when I said Bali is beautiful than Sri Lanka. My country is beautiful. I do not get the opportunity to travel like you do. But I traveled to several countries. Mostly I travel through internet, ha, ha. And as you know, there are other beautiful countries than our mother country. Africa is a mysteriously beautiful country. I am hoping to visit there some day. It is in my bucket list.
What I said about my country is like this: My wife is beautiful to me. And there are other ladies more beautiful than my wife for sure. But she is my WIFE and I love her in a special way. 🌈
