Note for people trying to get rod of discord with the farm: You have to constantly be moving for chaos elementals to spawn, and you have to not be behind a wall!
Unless you placed down Shadow Candle, which makes it so that Chaos Elementals and Enchanted Swords will always spawn.

Also, if you don't have any patience to collect jungle grass seeds, you can place 180 hive blocks with the hive wand that also counts as jungle biome.

I've improved upon the farm slightly for the updated ver of the game using shimmer to break down most non-stack items for crafting supplies that can stack and be used in various ways not to mention it creates an emergency escape exit for the over world, sky, and cavern farms. Tho the killing method is a bit slow unless you are a summoner have a wep that can pierce through blocks or use quite a few traps and pressure plates ect..

I have a similar setup, but instead of hollowing it out, I just dirt bombed the air pockets. Saved a lot of time.

For those who want to farm dungeon enemies, just mine some brick, turn it into walls, and throw the walls into shimmer, that'll give you the cursed variant, enabling dungeon mobs to spawn
I don't know if this will work everywhere, because I've always been doing it near the dungeon
If you ask why need this, well sometime in post Plantera dungeon, you wanted some item from certain enemies. Such as Palladin, Bone Lee, Sniper skeleton, Tactical skeleton. Those enemies are spawn within a specific type of dungeon walls.
Now, there's already many people who encounter a problem about this, which is they dungeon doesn't seem to spawn all of them. That indicates they dungeon doesn't have the type of walls that required for them to spawn.
So yeah. You playing Range and want sniper rifle and sniper scope but can't find any sniper skeleton ? Try this.

It's better to do this in pre-hard mode, since the mobs in the undergrounds are way more vicious and can slow down the building process

lava damage seems to cancel out the spike ball damage in my testing. Tried different amounts of lava with the same results

The conveyor belts and lihizard traps are hardmode, but everything else is available in pre-hardmode. I don’t even use the conveyors or traps in my hardmode world so you’ll be fine without them
What mods are you using? Specifically the one at 2:42 that lets you split stacks like that. Looks hella useful lol

I replaced super dart traps with flame traps; it took forever getting them.

Yes, you can, but if you make it too small, slimes will just easily jump over it.

You must've placed wires on them, remove them and place the wires below them.

Jungle bars are spawning below the trap area and taking up the max min number even when I cover the jungle blocks
There must be an exposed block somewhere down there, bats can spawn even if there's only 1 block, make sure there's no exposed block down there and nothing should spawn.
Can you do multiple biomes at once?
I would say fehtid bagnaks and the flesh knuckles are also up there in importance top tier items

okay I am still confused on this and none of the comments seem to give a straight answer that I saw. when replacing the runway to spawn other biome enemies, do I replace the conveyors? or do I only need to replace the blocks below them?
Those last blocks beside the conveyor belts, replace them with the correct biome blocks, Ebonstone for Corruption enemies etc etc.
Note : BESIDE Them, not below them.
I figured it out- you need to turn the blocks under the conveyor belts to whatever biome block you wanted.
For some reason when I actuated my traps they do vanish and still activate the traps, but the actuator effect also turns off and on, does it specifically have to be quarter second activation to make it constant?
You can remove the actuators after actuating the traps once to keep them actuated when activated.

No, really, i just place a bed down, and every time i die, i spawn back inside the afk spot.
If you play on PC, you could also just change your keybinds to make your attack button "space" and then put some kind of weight onto the spacebar, making your character attack automatically... atleast that's how I did it ^^

What about hallow and crimson/corrupt mimics, Won’t they phase through the safe box and kill you? If so how do i stop this
You can modify your chamber (place where you are standing) so if you get hit you are instantly teleported and mimic/casters/enchanted weapons dissapear
or if you don't care about dying place a bed and set your spawn in the afk room each time you get killed by mimics/enchanted swords you respawn in the afk room, make sure to have walls in the afk room for the bed to work and place a shadow candle so chaos elementals still spawn.

@@Fagan11 Enemies will still drop rare items no matter how they're killed. the only thing that changed is that you get less coins for killing them with a trap or lava.

In mine if I have the 150 mud and jungle grass it just does cavern how do I make it jungle ?
add more mud blocks
replace the runway to jungle grass as well, you can do it further from conveyer belts
You’ll still get the boosted spawn rates with the method shown in the video, however to get jungle enemies to spawn you’ll need to make the pathway the enemies spawn on jungle grass too (enemies can’t spawn on screen so you can have the pathway that can be seen from the afk spot be conveyor)

hello, awsome guide, and i make exactly the same farm zone as you are, and got one mini-problem - upper temple traps not hide 100% of time, they "blink", fast reveal and hide. because of that spike balls of higher spike traps bounce of lower traps and jumpfrom the pit. i simply delete thos line and all ok - one line spike and one line spear is enough for killing things, but im just curious why your traps dont do the same stuff

I made the farm into a Jungle Biome but im not really getting any other mobs except zombies and bats... any reason why tortoises arent spawning?
Tortoises, hornets and Derplings can only spawn on a jungle grass, you need to replace the runway (those last few blocks beside the conveyor belts) with mud, and put jungle grass seeds on 'em.

the farm works fine, thats until an unholy amount of fireflys spawn and max the mob cap so my farm fills up with fireflys and there are no mobs spawning. how do i fix it?
How did you even manage to make fireflies spawn there?
There's probably a Firefly statue nearby that's activated (somehow).

The Spore sac + their banner should help.
Or if you're pre-plantera, you can just a place a bed nearby so if you die, you'll spawn back near the farm.

Wasn't it patched out that Chaos elementals spawn when you stand still? The wiki still has this remark. So for a chaos elemental farm this is not enough movement of the character. Include a hoik circle or let yourself autojump with the slime mount on some wooden dummies or something similar.

There isn't really a way to stop them from spawning, but there is a solution. Khaios has a great video on that, you should take a look

What does actuating do to the lizard traps?
It allows the enemys to enter the killing chamber. If you didnt actuate the traps, they would still be soild block that the enemies couldnt pass through.

I made this mob farm than defeated the wall of flesh. Now every block around my mob farm got hallow. I wanted the cavern loot drops first 😭
you had to use a block that cannot be infected with any corruption or evil infection, thats why Kami uses TIN BRICKS.

Yes, the background has to change. If you have backgrounds disabled in the settings, you can simply listen to the music. If the music changes to its corresponding biome theme, then it's working.
I made this exact same farm pre-hardmode and added the 22 jungle blocks in the end each side. The problem is hornets take long to die because of there weird attack pattern and the farm gets overrun by man eaters after a while, what should I do to solve this?
You can place dart traps _below_ the spawning platform, wire them up to the same 1/4 second timer, and it'll slowly chip away at the maneater's health.

Kill 50 of them to get it's banner, then use the Spore sac to kill them while you're afking.

Wolves can only spawn on the surface at night, so you cant farm them using this farm
