I love watching your travels but I’m really enjoying Malaysia. I copied the link to my brother because we lived in Malaysia (then Malaya) for 3 years when we were kids because our father was in the Army. This is over 60 years ago!!! Doesn’t bear thinking of! Safe travels to you both and Happy New Year.
If you notice, there are several British Army bunkers/ pits from Wowld War 2, along Kota Tinggi to Mersing road. If you manage to visit Fraser’s Hill, many colonials buildings are well preserved there…if that could bring old memories back.😊
@@jeanettechristoffersen1916 it must be around early 1960’s then when you were in Malaya. Really glad to know that you have good memories of Malaysia…and the best 3 years of your childhood. The country has been developing much since, including in Ipoh & Seremban. They have become big cities now. Hope you will have opportunity to pay us a visit one day.
Ahhh , you both are very respectful toward local. Wearing covered clothes for swimming. Thanks for do that. Hopefully you both have a safe journey till your last stop in europe ❤
Literally that moment at 3:29 made my tears running.. Feeling, seeing how u guys feel so happy and grateful that u are indeed in malaysia.. Makes me feel so deep thank you by having our places as your destination. Thank you. Nothing else can describe it and keep vlogging, take care and enjoy every Malaysia state diversity and all that moment thru it..
Thank you - we have loved Malaysia from our first visit on our honeymoon over 27 years ago and we will always be back (and love bringing family to share in the beauty) 🌺🙏🙌
@@TREADtheglobe At 3:29, My guess is Tanjung Leman Beach. Where one can take Boat at Jetty here to Sibu islands. At 20:30 is Pantai Teluk Gorek, another interesting Nature landmarks nearby are "Heaven's Gate " & "Sky Window " in Pulau Mawai Geo Park on the coast slightly north.
currently doing my last year as a dental student in malaysia, thank you for bringing us on amazing journey and hopefully soon after I finished my study, I can go travel the world like you do. Much love from Malaysia❤
20 years ago this coming March, my (now) wife and I set off in our new motor home across Europe to explore Türkiye. After 5 months, having covered most of the major towns in Türkiye we took a slow saunter back to the UK via beaches in Greece, the wonder of Venice, the beauty of Lake Lucerne in Switzerland and samples of the best fizz in Eperney in France. Hundreds of photographs and pages of diary experience later, we had to return to England to find work to sustain our future adventures. Your trip is inspirational to all of us like-minded travellers. Happy New Year and best wishes for your continued journeys 🎉 Right now, we are living in Istanbul. Previously we had a year in Tunisia. Before that, four years in Erzurum in the far east of Türkiye and time in Doha, Quatar. We love our adventurous life as do you 😍
Its awesome that you are travelling along the East Coast of Malaysia as the video goes up. Hopefully you are still there. Just be careful of the monsoon that is taking place along Terengganu and Kelantan. Normally months between Nov to March are the months that Malaysians typically avoid travelling there as you could get stuck in the flood. If you still plan to go along the route though, do drop by at Tasik Kenyir, and also take the route via Jeli to Grik and stop by briefly at Royal Belum. After that, I would suggest head to Taiping via Changkat Jering before heading to Penang and then north to Thailand border. All the best!
If you guys were to drive the East West highway from Kota Baru to Penang, you will enjoy the most beautiful mountain range highway scenery in Malaysia, and that is acknowledged by even locals that used the highway. You can even choose where to cross into Thailand, whether crossover into border town Betong Thailand after the Titiwangsa mountain range or drive all the way till reconnect back to North/South highway. Betong is a beautiful drive north all the way to Songhkla Thailand and beyond .
I agree. Worked in Kelantan during the 90's and based in Jeli. Would travel to Betong via the E-W highway for a weekend break about once a month. Wonderful scenery and excellent road. Great memories.
That beach looked lovely guys! What a beautiful part of Malaysia. And the ice cream on the beach is the best part, of course! We are behind on your videos and trying to catch up a bit :)
I live in a residential neighbourhood in KL, Malaysia...On my morning walks I have come across 4 dead snakes and 1 live green tree snake! There are snakes, monitor lizards and squirrels in my backyard...and also civet cats and monkeys that roam around freely too. 😂😂😂Well, enjoy your stay in Malaysia! Trudy is truly special...You're absolutely living my dream... 🥰😍🤩
Hi guys, really great to see you both loving the scenery here in Malaysia. Anyway, you can actually see an elephant roaming the road! Especially when you are crossing from the east to the west, using the northern road of Grik-Jeli. There’s a rest stop called Titiwangsa Rest Stop. You’re gonna love it there. Have fun travelling Malaysia!
Looks like a cobra at 6:09. Reptiles can still bite even hours after being dead. Lucky you didn't get any closer. Thank you for coming and hope you have an amazing adventure!
Welcome to Malaysia. Wow.....im so jealous both of you guys...this is what I am dreaming of one day. Thanks to brought me along with u guys. I luv this kind of adventure ❤..Btw stay safe ya.. can't wait to see more 😊.
MYR 3 a night is so cheap to stay at a camp site here. I remember my student days in Glasgow in mid 80's I got to pay £1.50 a night for each person throught UK n Europe. Enjoy your stay and safe journey throughout Sir and Madam.
I lived in Muadzam Shah, just a cut off from Kuala Rompin and Mersing where you just arrived and I knew every single place you were hop off in the video. Excellent job of picking the right place on that area.
Love your video. You are good in telling story, and you paid attention to editing and music. I envy you. I dream of traveling in camper van for years. Never have enough gut and cash to do it.
After your vid "giving RM 100 to the Malaysian 👮🏻♂️" going viral in our local news, I looked for your channel. Found it about 3 days ago. And since then, I got hooked to your channel. Been playing your vid straight all days. Not just me, two of my kids also got hooked. You guy are my hero, just living the dreams.... If you ever come to KEDAH, know that you have a "friends"... Good luck, God speed and have a safe journey ya....
The most important thing in any adventure is safety, fun and the confidence to experience fun along the way with the good hospitality of the local people. Scenery is next.
Love all your videos and so happy that you’ve included my country Malaysia in your adventure 😊 have subscribed to your channel and following your trip as you thread around the world! All the best, safe travel!
I lived in Penang from 1960-3, as a kid. Falling coconuts were never a danger for us kids, but sea snakes were an ever present danger. One of my friends was bitten while swimming and died the next day. He was nine. We kids were always warned against swimming in the sea and my mum would give us money to go to the local pool. Needless to say, we kids ignored our parents and swam in the sea all the time.
