- I figured everything after Plantera would be pretty easy here, turns out we created an absolute abomination and the existence of the pillars in this playthrough is an affront to society. Enjoy!

The cut from fighting Moonlord in dry conditions to snow and then to rain made it seem like you fought him all through the winter and into the Spring which I guess probably isn't too far from how it felt
As soon as I saw the title, I immediately remembered that the pillar damage is through projectiles. This is definitely going to be interesting to watch
o h n o
Oh shiii, I didn't think of that, I'm guessing peaceful buffs are gonna be used
I love how you just effectively took a celestial deity on a casual stroll through the Tundra
Deity*
Sorry I couldn't help it
@@ICantThinkOfAHandle22 It's fine my dude, I would've done the same
And the funny music in the background 😂
The Phantom Hourglass music kicking in as Moon Lord just sits there had me rolling 😂
I literally went “OH NOOOOO” out loud when the pillar’s health didn’t go down and I realized what was wrong, what an utter tragedy
Why do dramatic
@@drantigon because it's a catastrophe
i shouldn't have scrolled down... but i think i know what this actually implies... oh no
@@el_abobua9243 more like a. CALAMITY! he he...oh, no mod enjoyers here?

I feel like the Psycho Knife could've been helpful here, being a really fast true melee weapon. Also that Moon Lord fight had me laughing.
Also the fetid bagnacks or however you spell them. The really fast red claws from a crimson mimic.
@@MoySoy arent the psycho knife just better tho

The part that made me laugh is that in every other video Sparks has made, there’s always an intense music whenever the Moon Lord spawns. But with this one, the music isn’t even intense at the slightest.
Hello- I haven’t finished the video yet or anything, I just wanted to say thanks for uploading. It’s been a hard week (it was supposed to be a fun Spring Break, but after three years of dodging it the disease which need not be named [in case comments’ content can affect video performance, which I don’t think they can but better safe than sorry] caught up to me), and it’s just nice to have something at the end of said hard week to lighten things up a bit. I appreciate all that you do and make, and wanted you to know that you’re appreciated, so thank you.
Sorry to hear it finally got you, kudos for making it this long though, that's impressive. Really hope you feel better soon, thanks for your kind words.
Random internet stranger here. I hope you feel better soon. Sucks hearing that you got hit by it
a 2/few more projectile playthrough would surprisingly be quite interesting as it allows slightly more but still has limits
My day gets 5 times better whenever WOS uploads.
Fr
This playthrough made me realise just how reliant terraria is on its projectiles
Not in a bad way but so much of the game becomes harder without projectiles and you would never think about it because it's basically just natural to get used to them
Got to love it when the myths turn out to be helpful in a playthrough.
_The world is a cruel and unjust place. There is no harmony in the universe. The only constant is suffering._
*omg, new Wand of Sparking upload!!*
now Wand Of Sparking is suffering, not you
Oh hey, it’s you, my favorite Terraria RUclipsr! Thank you for being in so much pain for our entertainment!
17:48 the projectiles do spawn, it’s just they disappear really quickly due to either the starlight, or other enemy projectiles
Assuming a weapon with no projectiles kills them, it should count as a kill unless a enemy one interrupts it
As for best pillar weapon, excluding summons which have a tendency to go to random enemies, the Nebula Arcanum
Which already sorta is the best one (stack em up pre boss to get a huge head start)
I’d have liked to see the Breaker Blade and Keybrand be used in this playthrough as they have unique abilities, and are true melee
For future reference, there's now a setting that will turn auto swing and auto fire on for all weapons without the need for an accessory. This even includes things like early game bows.
hes on 1.4 tmod
That is on actually, this playthrough just breaks it for some weapons. Feral claws still work though for some reason.
Its pretty buggy
@@lemonsg.2801 No he isn't, he literally addressed that in the last episode.
"We need to make sure that the pillar projectile doesnt get overwritten by our own or an enemy projectile"
Oh, so you'll use one really strong projectile like the Sniper Rifle?
... Oh.
Looks like I'm gonna be using this strategy for most of my Mediumcore Master Mode playthrough. Should be a whole lot freaking easier with Duke, except the last phase of course. Still, I can zip right through early Hardmode just by spamming a bunch of beach balls for a short while. Thanks WoS!
For last phase of Duke Fishron, you just need to know how to count to 3 and dash back and forth with the Shield of Cthulhu, and you'll be fine
@@blunderbus2695 It's easier for some other people to learn timing, but not me lol. I'm sure I'll get it soon enough, though.
@@amazingfireboy1848 for phase 3, I usually fly straight up and down, and dash towards fishron as soon as it starts it’s own dash. Because you’re moving up/down, you’ll go straight over/under it. Duke always teleports to your left or right, never directly above or below. Don’t try to dash away from it and outrun it, because phase 3 duke is way faster than you, and if it teleports it could teleport right in the direction you’re moving. Also having a slime mount let’s you be able to change directions quickly when you reach the top of the world, hope this helps, good luck on the playthrough!
@@taterman27 Got it. I'll still have to get to that point before I can actually fight him, but I'll keep this in mind, thanks. 👍
I beat him! And only in a few attempts, too. Man, this beach ball cheese is insane: the sharknados don't spawn, the bubbles go away fast, and the shark dudes can't cause trouble. And the last phase was easier than I thought, thankfully. Got myself a weird bubble mace and a powerful quick Fishron mount; that should be enough to demolish the mechs now! Awesome.
So i've been playing through a calamity world with a pal of mine in Revengeance Mode, and when it came to fighting Plantera, I completely forgot Dynamite existed since with the help of mods like AlchemistNPC Lite and LuiAFK Reborn, we had accessories and buffs for mining pretty damn fast, and using bombs for building arenas kinda slipped our minds. I'm Melee-Summoner Hybrid, they're Mage-Summoner Hybrid, just to give some context, and I was using the Pickaxe Axe to mine with a Slice of Cake, the Dig Faster Accessory, and the "Ultimate Mining Buffs" from LuiAFK Reborn, though i could probably have made the arena a bit bigger. we only needed two platforms though, circling around Plantera is relatively easy with a proper set of wings.
It didn't stop me from digging a 4 block wide hole through the jungle for me to glide down and using projectile swords like the Biome Blade and TNE to cheese the second phase though.
I love playthroughs like this , they arnt just your usual "can i beat terraria with only (insert random weapon here)" type of playthroughs and they acctuly seem like something that has puzzles and such to overcome to beat the challenge keep it up
It's interesting how some of the more unlikely bosses become more challenging but the more difficult ones get loads easier.
“Beach ball was hit 10 times 10 to the 1000 times before hitting the ground”
Wow, I'll definitely be using that strat for empress of light in my summoner playthrough. rad
i love the intense music during pillars then moon lord is just chill
you can use bombs and dirt bombs to change your surroundings during the old one's army. The enemies go a little strange though. It's a lot of fun to mess with. you can also use teleporters and conveyors to move them about. I'd be interested to see if there was a way to afk old one's army
4:22 I had a similar experience with the golfer and cactus balls in my new playthrough yesterday.
shoutouts to this challenge for being the first time the pillars have ever been interesting
8:30 Great music choice and congrats on making it through to the end.
Moon Lord spawns, super chill music starts playing! I was so laughing my ass off, everyone in the subway looked at me😂
what it is about the pillars and breaking the moment you change any tiny little aspect of a terraria playthrough
The solar eruption was really funny. I also loved you getting one final hit in on the test dummy with the wand of sparking, made me giggle
Another great video. Cant wait for what you come up with next!
Also, 4:31 made me laugh.
17:54 Bro knows how to cite his sources.
24:54 The music when Moonlord appears omg. xD
Heres a goofy idea. What if you did a playthrough where you can only use weapons/ armour that resembles a class they might have used during the 8th century. horses, swords, ect.
actually cannot believe my mythbuster made a whole series, im actually flabbergasted (one year too late, but weh)
I know that you said that you already have another playthrough planned, but I'd personally really like to see another stardew valley challenge playthrough. Really enjoyed that last one and hope that you might do another in the future. Of course, I'm looking forward to any content you got planned regardless!
A Terraria themed Stardew playthrough or a Stardew themed Terraria playthrough would be really cool, or even a combined playthrough, like playing both at once with the same inputs going to both games
dude your playthroughs are so entertaining to watch, coupled with the chill music they're amazing
Glad to see everything worked (mostly) fine! Great videos!
22:20 haha i love the small little goofy moments like these
Another great video from wand of sparkling!!!
Well done, and good luck in the college stuff!
Mythbusters: using tedit to spawn in the clothier while the old man exists can get you 2 skeletons at once, one by the clothier voodoo doll and one from the old man's curse
3:27 that one short friend trying to attack you
Myth: The pillars will be dragged into the underworld after enough time.
perfect video to end spring break with.
Oooooh, I've been waiting nearly a month for this! We've been blessed with another WoS upload :)
Very excited to watch this final instalment!!
I wanted to see him fight Duke Fishron with this. That would've been funny like Empress
Just actually finished the video now (something came up where I had to take a break before resuming) and I wanted to say thanks again. I certainly wouldn’t mind some shorter form mythbusters, especially if it works better with your schedule. If quantity of myths is the issue, could myths in other games work? I know Stardew content has worked here in the past (although perhaps inconsistently), although I don’t know enough about its mechanics or technical side to mention any good myths for such an endeavor. In retrospect, the Botw “unintended ways only” actually had at least a partial Mythbusters vibe to it, at least as far as it meant going in and performing technically challenging feats that wouldn’t necessarily occur in regular gameplay, but nonetheless had interesting outcomes. It’s something of a stretch, sure, and maybe I’m just rambling at this point, but I just realized it as I was going to suggest a “Botm,” Breath of the Myth (or maybe Bust of the Myth?) series before realizing you had actually already done something arguably similar. Anyhow, thanks again, no matter what it is, if you have time for it I’m sure I’ll be happy to see it. Take care (the both of you, though I presume Canadien is more likely to see this, given this video was his work) and fare thee well
I think this is propably the most screentime the pillars have had in any of your playthroughs.
I"m happy to see the conclusion of this run, I almost forgot about it.
Loves these videos, they're just so nice and relaxing to watch. Just one question, where's the Gerudo Valley theme?? It's been a staple in your vids since a long time ago
I usually use it for deserts, just happened to not have any prominent deserts in this playthrough.
24:40 I love the new Gladius rework!
What a journey, what an adventure. Love the content as always!
Suggestion for a future playthrough, randomized blocks, but every time you spawn in or die you use a teleportation potion. Recall potions are banned, magic mirrors are one time use. Looking at the map is banned. Basically you never know what you are getting into.
Hearing metroid prime music in your videos is always a treat
"Golem will put up more of a fight than Empress" is not something I thought I'd ever hear.
It’s always a treat when you upload!
I definitely thought the red line going to the pillar was just aesthetic and not really how damage is counted lmao
The Uzi got me thinking about a mechanic that some shmups play with. Where the game limits the number of your projectiles that can be onscreen, but your fire rate is decoupled from that.
Specifically in the Zanac games, you can increase your fire rate to the point that you're shooting all your bullets in a single burst/cluster that leaves you defenseless until they hit an enemy or leave the screen. It's actively detrimental to the player. Unless you stick your nose right up in the enemy's face and your projectiles disappear the same moment they're created, letting your firehose of a fire-rate _melt_ bosses.
the casual music as you fought moon lord was priceless
Who wants to hear a fun fact? It actually turns out that beach ball was hit 998 times before touching the ground!
"Mom said it's my turn on the projectile"
If you ever wanna farm an uzi, build a bridge over the jungle, place a bunch of water candles and maybe gnomes and run back and forth killing every angry trapper or invading turtle you can find. I basically do that every playthrough at the start of hardmode despite how hard it is because uzi is basically just a budget megashark that needs no special bullets to deal amazing damage
I liked this playtrough, we need more of this weird challenges
One thing with the non projectile option there is the sun ray laser which drops from golem and has inf velocity and is still a projectile weapon but since it has inf velocity it could have been used in old ones army or other parts of the run
I like how the pillars was more intresting here, in that you had to actualy strattigize more on how to kill them.
probly would've been more fun too if you had more free time tbh.
The real challenge is playing with the chat covering half of your screen
Been waiting for another video! Love this series.
I was hoping the myth I suggested would come through here. But i guess the sprite despawns but the actual beam is a projectile that doesn't despawn. Except for here when it gets overidden.
Honestly I'm kind of sad that this playthrough is over, it was so fun lol
Hey sparking I hope you know how important and great your videos are I’m having a hard time right now and seeing a almost 30 minute video pop up in my notifications made my day thank you so much
"The existence of the Pillars in this playthrough is an affront to society" Isn't that the Pillars in every playthrough?
You want an idea, do it all over again in Legendary Mode aka Master fortheworthy, so we can see you suffer ... Nah I jest, I wouldnt be THAT cruel, but well done for beating yet another challenge, I realized right off the bat the counter wasn't decreasing that the pillars were gonna be a pain to defeat. But instead my challenge to you to is to start over with a fresh character and world and beat the game completely while collecting one of EVERY item in the game.
I look forward to these videos so much! I love these series and they are always so well done!
Fantastic and unique challenge, well worth the wait!
Hey! I really love watching your videos. I have a video idea. Try and finish the game with only your inventory space and no chests for storage.
A thought I had for a challenge was that you start with Flymeal and can only use that and weapons that NPCs you've unlocked use. (I considered only stuff they drop, but I think there's too many gaps and it just makes things less interesting overall)
Wow, the solar eruption vaguely looks like a rapid flurry of punches when used up close here.
Keep up the good content :) They really do brighten up my days at Uni
Your plans about posting sound good!
the calming music during the moon lord fight 😂😂
4:30 Wyvern jumpscare.
That part with the Empress of Light has got to be the most cheesiest thing I've ever seen in Terraria.
Tip here: If you really want Uzi, try to attack on jungle surface at Bloodmoon Night.
How ironic that in a no projectile playthrough, late hardmode melee weapons are practically useless
"On today's episode of Terraria with Only One Projectile: WoS commits visceral murder!"
wait until he finds out he could've just made vortex fragments with the other three, then made the boss spawner
First its legs, now its projectiles. What else could you possibly take away from this poor guy!
You should mix this with the no immunity frames challenge
theoretically, the minimum amount of enemies needed at once to beat the game is 5. since you need the cultists to spawn in to fight lunatic
Myth: you can still get the terraprisma from the empress of light after it turns to night if you don’t do any damage at night and wait until morning to kill her.
The Solar Eruption just turns into the Gladius
The fact that the music playing during MOON LORD is peaceful and tranquil just shows you how much of a joke he is….
At 9:53 I had to do a double take and check if my music had turned back on somehow as I was literally just listening to that game's soundtrack on shuffle lol.
the vibrating chest is how you get one of the town slimes
myth suggestion: the maximum score on a beach ball using only projectiles and enemies is 1998
more of a statement that needs testing but
Phenomenal content as always
you should have kept a keybrand or pumpkin moon sword ready as a secondary for when projectiles are really necessary
Wos content is always good. I don't mind the format it is presented in
I just want to say with the tavernkeep in my first world that I found him in he was in the underworld, a literal hell child is what I have named him
If you can trap all the stardust cells in a box, that may have helped make it a lot easier
