Thanks for good information. I am in opinion of removal of cervix if patient above 50 years or even minor pathology like Erosion or cervicitis. As cervix is prone to cancer.

This is a chop-happy doctor. 'You will not be allowed.' That's probably standard patient communication in India but not for developed countries. I've never heard of a doctor using those words to tell patients what they are allowed and not allowed to do with their own bodies. You're not telling your audience that the uterus should only be removed when cancer is present and has spread or when fibroids are so painful they make daily life miserable. You also failed to tell your patients that the uterus acts as a support for other organs such as the bladder and that removal can cause other health issues. But of course you won't tell them that because that'll but into your profit margins. If I listened to my 'doctors', I'd be dead a long time ago. Disgusting.

Try the NHS BUTCHERS in the UK !!! They DO SCARE & BULLY patients to take everything out, as their POLICY likes to save time by dragging the uterus out the vagina as its quicker than dismembering it for keyhole removal , regardless of the needles MUTILATION of removing a known good cervix. DISGRACEFUL & INHUMAN

My doctor just told me that, actually. They said I am not “allowed”’to keep it and they will take it when they do the hysterectomy. There is nothing wrong with my cervix. They just said that’s how they do the surgery and I don’t get to choose. I am in USA.

l think you took her words out of context, she meant in cases such as cancer or other, where the women's life is at risk, the doctor wouldn't want to risk your life .
