I can't believe I've just heard and understood my first passage from the Hebrew Bible. It almost brought me to tears. Thank you very much.
That's wonderful! Many more Bible passages to come in future lessons!
Yep. Done brought me to tears. LOL.
Wow that is amazing. I hope you wont forget
Exactly, MM.
Me too 👍👍👍
Eyn li baqar! 😢I have no cattle! 🐮 Haha, but we have Aleph with Beth! Thus we rejoice. Gaudēmus igitur. 😃
"Ein li karnaim!", I have no horns! This was equally a sentence I did not expect to hear today.
Exciting! Our first reading from the Torah! ❤️
Thanks for an upbeat Hebrew lesson
This was a little difficult, but fun. I am so happy I read my first verse (Gen 29:16) in Ivrit😊. Eden (9 years old from Uganda)
Hi Eden! We're so glad that you're having fun learning to read Ivrit with us! Thank you for your message, we hope you will keep learning to read more and more verses! 😊
Great work! God bless you :D
the more I get into it, I felt more and more in love with this, God bless you .
Greatest Chanel of all time
You two are so cute. Thanks for making learning Hebrew so enjoyable.
Thanks, our pleasure! :)
I've got to say I was expecting the horn to be "shofar", like the instrument.
Also, you have really done well with the jokes this time!
I did not expect to see so much excitement from having a bull.
This is one of my favorite videos by far!! 1. Hilarious! 2. I read scripture!
Thank you so much for all you do! ❤❤
Happy to learn Hebrew with Beth and Avram..love you both 😘

😉😎 עתה הוא צדיק כי נתן לך פר! 😇 וגם שניהם כאיש אחד. 💑
Muy bueno el método... felicidades! Ojalá también sacaran videos para aprender inglés con este mismo método...😌👍👍
Gracias! Me encantaría hacer un curso parecido en inglés un día, si Dios permite. 😊
Thank you very much.
Bendiciones!
Wonderful! I can understand what you read in Bible.
כל הכבוד 👍❤🌹
C'est pédagogique et efficace ! 👍🏻
C'est une bonne méthode d'apprendre l'hébreu.
I like the reaction of Beth on "Lanu" when Abram said because you are my wife then these things are "lanu". Is my interpretation correct?
You got it!
15:08 es increible cómo en tan poco tiempo puedo entender todo ese texto, sin que me lo hayan explicado una sola vez en español, sólo en hebreo.
Muito obrigado!!!
Fantastic 🙂👌🤟
Amen, תודה
I have done Hebrew for some time, and yet I find your lessons instructive and the repetition well done. You have done well with pronunciation 'a-ets' for goat is hard to do. I am wondering if you have any lessons on phonation differences to the English 'a','e','i','o',u'?
This is beyond amazing! I'm enjoying not only the videos but also the resources. It makes reading and understanding Biblical Hebrew easily attainable. I'm just wondering if Beth and Avram have different pronunciations! In this video, it appears to me that Beth pronounced עַיִן like how an Arabic speaker (like me) would pronounce the first letter, but Avram appears to pronounce it like אֵ. Am I hearing correctly?
❤❤❤
❤
Love this wonderful lesson Beth and Andrew! So exciting to understand the scripture from Genesis! Which Bible are you reading from Beth? I would love to buy it. 🙏🏼

What is the edition of the Hebrew Bible you are using in this video? It looks very readable, compared to others I have seen.
Qué bien !
💛
in the part where you're saying "li kad gadol" etc. why is it not "yesh li"?
Aleph with Beth: any chance that you can create a site for us who are learning along with you can practice what we have learned? We don't have to see each other but we can have conversations moderated by someone who knows Hebrew well and can ask us questions using words that we have gone over so that we can answer using those words.
Hi Vidal, that's a really cool idea and we'd love to see that happen. Right now we can't take on that extra project with all that we're currently working on, but if any of our viewers want to create a site or forum like that, we'd be happy to collaborate!
@@AlephwithBeth Maybe we can all enter a Google meeting/Hangouts by posting our email address here and talk about what to do next. I could meditate the conversation between English/Spanish/Portuguese.

Ok. Yo aprendiendo...a tener paciencia...y yo entendiendo . "Tov meod" 👋
Shalom!
Which tanakh is that? It also has a dictionary.
Awesome!
Nice
Aqui no Brasil ele se chama LABÃO. Tio de Jacó.
I have a question, and I apologize if it’s been addressed before and I missed it. Why did you ask יֵשׁ לָעֵז קַרְנַיִם instead of יֵשׁ הַעֵז קַרְנַיִם? Are ה and ל both simply a definite article? Thank you for your time and your work!
ה is the definite article, but ל is a preposition that generally means "to/for," so יֵשׁ לָעֵז קַרְנַיִם means "there is TO the goat horns," in other words, "the goat has horns." Check out our grammar lessons for more details: freehebrew.online/resources
Bonjour. Dans cette leçon, Beth, tu lis dans une biblé hébreu (13:38). Quelle est la référence de cette bible s'il te plaît. Merci
Hi, could you please share which version of the Hebrew Bible are you using in the video, and where I might order it.
I really like the translation of individual words in the bottom of the pages.
Thank you so much on your continuous effort!
Hi Mislav,
The edition I usually prefer to use for reading is this one: www.zondervan.com/9780310269748/a-readers-hebrew-bible/
Is there a reason why מאומה has an accent on the vocabulary list?
I noticed a small % have them.
In Biblical Hebrew, the accent typically falls on the last syllable. In the instances where that is not the case, we've indicated the appropriate accent with the accent mark so that students know how to pronounce the word.
¡Ay qué chistosos!
Genesis 11:7 Ahora, pues, descendamos, y confundamos allí su lengua, para que ninguno entienda el habla de su compañero.
I know this is a video teaching people Hebrew words but I got a little emotional when he said she was his wife so they owned all the things together
Yes, me too. Her reaction was so touching, especially when he gave her a "par" lol! ( And then called her a "parah"). 😆
Shalom, how could I buy a bible in Hebrew just like the one in this video?
Hi! Our Resources page has links to the different Bibles we use in our videos. Check it out here (Print>Bibles that appear in our videos):

Thanks, are you using "Tanach Simanim" in the video? I really like the font and especially the translation note at the bottom.
What does it mean " dvarim"?
"things" or "words"
try browsing your lexicon for:
דָבָר
then listen to beth say the word again and pay attention to the sound changes
Is there any difference in " יש לי בקר" and " לי בקר " ?
No significant difference. There are many possessive phrases in the Hebrew Bible without ישׁ.
@@AlephwithBeth Ok. Thanks.
wow i begin to find difficulties without english translation
Just realized this reminds me of sesame street

I believe in god the bible.
אין לך מאומה. היא עניה כי הוא לקח הכל מאשה. 😔😓. האיש רע הוא!
ִ!לא, אברם אישׁ טוב כי נתן לי פר
@@AlephwithBeth 😀😁😂😃😄😅🖒👍
I am very pleased with your videos, and I have made great progress so far in ancient Hebrew (I am finding things that it is quite similar to Arabic, they are both Semitic languages after all). I just have one piece of criticism, do not take it as an offense please; I think you should try to keep the behaviors in the videos morally excellent, like without the deception of the 'hiney, nachash!" or the teasing of having the "hakad hagadol" (even if it may be very mild). Please shine the light of Christ as greatly as possible and do not be mad at me. I'd like to thank you greatly for your efforts, and and may the Lord bless your hard work for the glory of his name. 😊
