- 3D printed FOOTBALL - UPDATE!
We finished the final design for our 3D printed football and it’s a cool retro look with some grippy panels around the outside for some spin… hopefully!
We also decided @SUNLU TPU 95A is going to be the best material to start with for this… but we have a few problems with the print itself and it’s definitely going to need to be inflated somehow!
Make sure you’re following because we will have a next update on the ball very soon… and hopefully have it half working!
Print More. Play More.

Big tip, try make the walls a bit thicker in the infill, a tad more, but the size goes down a bit just for a test
Gas would help a lot too
Yo finally a gorilla tag printer guy just like me !!! ❤
Super looking forward to the work!😝
We can’t wait to get it working too!! 😁
@@playconveyor 😍😍😍
You need to make the walls thicker and remove the infill.
Hey add more walls mower infil 4-5 walls will be plenty song
Four walls is currently printing 🤞🤞🤞
@@playconveyor Hurray!
@@playconveyor Its at these moments when having a Filament sponsor comes in handy ;D
Thicker walls and gyroid infill. Gyroid has become my favorite infill, especially for objects that don't have a "top" or "bottom" like a ball.
great soccer ball
I thought of a basketball every time I saw one of these shorts
Engineer here
I have done some stuff similar to this... use gyroid infill but up the infil multipier and it will be stiffer for the same weight...
It will never feel like a real ball due to the moment of inertia (aka mass distribution) unless you only have mass on the outerwall like a real ball. You can try a stiffer flex filiment like ninja flex armadillo and print a mostly hollow ball.
If you want your TPU to be less squishy use a wider nozzle
You could coat it in flexible uv resin to make it airtight
There's a 3d printed functional basketball that exists so maybe you could look into that.
witch 3d printer you got
Cool soccer ball.
I have one question how did you make the print button!
he printed it
You can use normal tpa material just put some holes in the ball
Grippy panels? Knew a lass like that once
What slicing software do you use?
If l’m not mistaken I saw a prusa 3d printer do you have any tips for them since they use sd cards instead of usb
Make sure the infill I stronger next time
Up the amount of walls and take away the infill 😉
Make the outside thicker
If you print without interior supports, I wonder if you could fill the inside with a layer of rubber or silicone and putting an air valve to fill with air.
First time you hit print with your hand
What printer do you use?
Realistically you probably need like 8 layered walls and 35% infill
Put a hole for air to go in
As an American, I thought of a different ball.
you must make the outer layer bigger
No! Because that would make it heavier
Make the walls thicker
Make a lacrosse ball
Does that button actually start the printer?
Maybe try nylon?
Does the print button work😅
Today lasted for 3 days
Make an ASMR video of pressing that print button!
😂😂
@@playconveyor I'm going to be in your comment section on every short until that print button is released! The RUclips algorithm will favor your videos!!!!
That good now PRINT your our and your *BALLS*💀
Duel material print tpu outside pla infill
Make the walls thicker and mabey use a less flexable but stronger filamemt
To keep the same weight lower the infill settings
Remove infill and just print thick walls
That's not a football. That's a soccer ball.
What is the name of the song or songs in this video.
Try using gyroid infill
Not sure about keeping similar weight, but you can get it to hold air better with thicker walls, and then you can really seal it with your choice of different glues. Find one that is stretchy and strong. Hot glue could work if you have a small enough glue gun. Run beads trailed by a card across the z axis. I printed a little thing with a trigger to squeeze the glue out while the drag it across whatever surfaces need extra support. The part that trails the glue gives it a ruffled texture for added durability.
100% infill
Can u please make me a button with the word game on it
Just say soccerball
Why would you say that when it's a football?
@@hangryhufflepuff9530calm down european
Thats only how you say it in the US.
it’s a football💀
Build an basketball
how to waste filament haha
just got a 3d printer & can't find any good modeling software, got any recommendations?
Fusion 360 is free for hobbyists and is really powerful - not sponsored but @fusion360 if you're listening ;)
Foam
That's a soccer ball
💀
No... That's a football in every country other than the US so he probably isn't american
You meant to say soccer ball lol 😂

Nafoukni ho
Слои легли очень хреново в заполнении
Bro is calling soccer ball football 💀
That's the name of the game babes. It's always been the name.
@hangryhufflepuff9530 well it's also the ball. A football looks like that one family guy character we all know as stewie. That there is round therefore a soccer ball
It's different in most countries ya know

A more accurate name for the equipment in American football is HandEgg or HandProlateSpheriod. You play mostly with your hands, and it's egg shaped.
Football is named after how you play it. Your foot hits the ball nearly the entire time, and when the game was first created it was solely kicked.
A football is round. It is commonly comprisied of hexagons and pentagons sewn together. When it was first invented it was often made of a pigs bladder that was blown up (or less commonly stuffed).
It's honestly a bit clownish when people try rename football to anything other than their language equivalent. Football was invented in England. The first league was set up in England. It's an English game. Other countries may have invented similar games, but the rules used in international games are the English rules. Soccer was only ever used to define an association for football in Oxford uni.
It's actually the Brits' fault we call it "soccer." Everywhere else it's "football", "fußball" or "futbol".
If you call it soccer

Football is a better name than soccer
