Hey, thanks for making these kinds of videos! It's always interesting to see how you deal with different problems and what techniques can be used. It's like learning from the best :)
Awesome job dude! On Twitter (x) I saw this and actually commented on it guessing that someone possibly was using a qsb and botched it. Was just a guess but didn't know which qsb! Thanks for the vid
I did a QSB install recently using the ribbon from Helders tech. To be fair I almost botched mine because the way the flex goes the joints in the top left corner are hard to solder down because the component to the left of the chip doesn't let you lay the cable flush. I did get it but I had to go really heavy with flux. If I do the mod again I'll probably use this method because the thin gauge wire and tiny pico makes it more clean.
The moment I saw your photo on Twitter i could already tell, that there was a peace of Flex on that chip, I'm pretty sure it was either the PicoBoot Quick Solder Flex from helder, or one of the cheap clones from AliExpress!
When I saw the pics I though you were going to have to rebuild the whole side of the chip. Lucky all the pads were there and was just a chunk of PCB left on it
where can i get the component labeled as DA15?, my gamecube is missing it and i want to put it back in there, also, you can tell at some point it was there
a little disappointing you didn't have to repair pads or traces as im always looking for tips and techniques concerning those repair tasks. still felt the delight of this not being the case

I didn't wait until the end to comment, that pico tiny is a really sweet idea!
Ayoo it's up! I was hoping from the tweet that it would get posted! Appreciate the work you do! 🤘
I would enjoy seeing you try to use a shitty iron to do an install without fucking it up, would make for a fun video even if you fail lol.

Quick soldering board(a flex cable with all needed solder)

Pretty sure what you're referring to is a flex cable, this was a thin pcb. Almost positive it was from a kunaigc but I could be wrong.
The fact someone didnt noticed or cared about this is mind boggling!

Let's say the legs were missing or damaged, have you ever done a vid on restoring them?
Plot twist lol! I was so confused
A shitty iron PLUS leadfree solder video please!

If you are not afraid of the German Language, i recommend PCBSolder Berlin. He have a lot of videos where he repair traces.

wtf was that? The cut was like stark siblings cut reacting to jon snow being a targaryen and stark. da fk
Looks easy to fix
Soldering iron?! Install one of these with a wood burning pen. Hahah😂
People attempt these soldering jobs with no practice destroying their systems.
Thanks!
