Thank you so much for the assist. I just installed a hitch on my '18 F85. A couple of the little plastic fascia holders flew off in the process but it's still solid on the reassembly. It takes nerves of steel to do such a thing. Keep up the great vids.

Lining up the four clips for the bumper and the electrical was the most time-consuming. Otherwise pretty straightforward project. Great vid!

Hi. Any idea how to put F15 into trailer mode manually? When I have a bike rack the PDC sensors go crazy in reverse. Also when I pull into my garage forward and get close to front the car gets confused seeing a bike rack on back.

@@eddiemcars around $400 for the gloss black grills and $170 for the vents or gills as I call them. May be less expensive and less of a hassle to buy them. You can always sell the silver originals to offset the price. The OEM gloss black look really good in person.

If you want to save the X5M emblem, you can snap out the OEM center grille portions and snap them onto the outer rings of the new grille. i am sorry seeing you scratched the bumper. dont worry, after a while you wont even notice it anymore. these things happen in all DIYs. we should focus on having the fun of working on our cars. otherwise we all could have asked a technician or dealer to do these.
Oppss...thats a deep scratch sir. Its should have been cheaper if you let bmw install it. So if accident happens you can have them replace it. But its a good vidoe. a lot of x5m owners will learn fron this install. thanks you and i'm sorry for the accident to you bumper.
I guess great minds think alike 😏 Thanks in advance. The other thing I would ask is how do you get movies , videos etc to play on the infotainment screen and how to deactivate the doom light from coming on when you don’t want it to. Again thanks for your help
I buffed the section on the bumper since it was light. The rear diffuser is still noticeable. I’m looking at replacing it or upgrading it to carbon fiber.
The G05 uses new encrypted control units. Very difficult to get them properly coded (you might not want to use carly or else... but get it properly done with the right software). But you have to have the right tools. I use E-Sys for E- and F-series and have not so far programmed G-series. ISTA-P should work, but it's huge (>100GB).

I’m glad you found it helpful! The first time removing the bumper does take some nerves but it’s a not bad job once’s everything is back together.

Yes, it’s a horrible scratch. It may need to be replaced with a carbon fiber diffuser.

You can. I had trouble getting a tool in there so I decided to popped it out.

Yes. You’ll receive two attachments, one for towing and the other 2” receiver for bike rack attachment.
