Traveling for $20 A Day: Chengdu, China - Ep 3 (Ft. The Food Ranger)

- We visited Chengdu-the capital city of China's Sichuan Province-and ate a ton of cheap, signature Chengdu street food. With the help of Trevor James, We ate some delicious Chinese wraps, zongzi, RABBIT HEAD, and a ton of other cheap foods!
Fellow RUclipsr and food blogger - Trevor James (The Food Ranger) showed us a ton of cheap local specialties to help make this the best episode of 20 Dollar Traveling yet!
We filmed this video last week on the day of the Dragon Boat Festival. I actually met Trevor last year the first time I visited Chengdu, but this was our first time to film together. It was a blast shooting videos with him; he knows so much about Chinese street food and that really helped me stretch my budget.

Sichuan people consume about 100 million of those a year. About 1 for each person in a year. Some people like it a lot.

I remember all of those foods and salivating like a dog dying in bed thinking of those dumplings and imagining the taste as I remembered it. We need those kinds of places and prices in the West so we can spend like we have it and share the enjoyment with friends, that's what life's about! Do the street people do a FEDEX overnight delivery!!!

There are lot of vblogs about China and Chengdu. Yours have a different angel. And they surely stands out. Hope you keep this "20 dollar a day" going. Take your camera to the west of Sichuan: Tibet, Gansu, Xijiang etc.

about that hotel appear at 0:11,I believe it‘s lazy inn hotel.I found that someone grows weed in the roof top of that hotel where customers can hang out their laundry to dry . there's 3 plants. any of you guys are in chengdu now can go check it out
Chengdu is my favourite city in China for how suitable it is for living. My hometown is Suzhou, beautiful and advanced city, doesn’t have a good breakfast selection tho. *sad face
