I got a shot of one here on Sunday June 9th. But I missed the open rear deck observation car lettered for "NEW YORK CENTRAL" tacked onto the back of an Amtrak train!
Really? How come? I see you have an MP36..... I personally don't like them haha! The first MP36 I saw was kinda neat, but they seem to have gotten boring for me really quick. Plus at least on our MARC's, they have a really weak, sorry sounding horn, making them sound almost like a subway or something less than a fullsize train. To me, the ACS64 is fresh and modern looking, but still different enough to look unique. The MP36 just looks bland compared to it. So at least so far, I really like it. Until I get tired of seeing it, I guess, haha.
I'm used to an MP36 with a 3rd generation K5LA because that's what Metra uses. An MP36 with either a 3rd generation K5LA, or a P5. I think the ACS-64 looks too futuristic and too foreign.
Great catches! I like the ACS-64's the way they look, except the LED lights because of how they flash. And also, I found that LED lights aren't going to melt ice and snow off of the covers. BTW, are there any other kind of headlights that are brighter than LED's?
And I'm curious to know if HID lights get hot enough. And if the other lights get so hot that they crack the light covers, then they need to make the covers with glass that is either heat resistant or heat proof.
Good job at catching it. Very fast and beautiful
Super addition to our Travel Channel.
Nice catch of Viewliner Diner "Indianapolis"!
Amazing catch!
Thank you very much!

Tasty locomotives!
That was a good amount of ACS-64s engines that day.
Awesome!
Grate Job!!!!!!!!
Nice.... The pentagraphs seem to have to reach much higher than ones I've seen in Euro videos.
I wonder how the engineers are taking to the AEM-7 replacements? Those ACS-64s look smooth, even on the bumpy tracks.
Crescent 19 at 0:20 led by 602 and Viewliner diner, Silver Meteor 97 at 0:50 led by 603, Silver star 92 at 1:25 led by 605
Thx for the info!
Nice vid
Nice catch of 603 running with "wrong" pan up. When were these clips shot?
Im not sure of the exact date, about a week ago
That locomotive number belongs on E60MA 603 and that locomotive only. Period.
BaltimoreAndOhioRR Were those first three trains the Silver Stars, the Silver Meteors, or the Palmettos by any chance?
I personally don't like the ACS-64s. Nice video by the way.

I like those lights! Good question! I think High-Intensity Discharge lights would be brighter, but not sure...
