    I honestly thought this was going to be another one of those “demonstrations” that had an outcome already determined when I saw how much the wood was moving around on the first cut, but it was a pretty fair demonstration.

    I'm a diehard Milwaukee guy and just bought the flex whole tool kit. The one handed sawzall blows Milwaukee away I cut through a 2 inch steel pipe in under a minute the Milwaukee would have taken way longer. I've made the switch all my tools are going to be flex

    Milwaukee needs to do a gen 2 Fuel for both the M12 and M18 hackzall. Make it smaller than their brushed but increased stroke length at the same time and the M12 Fuel will take advantage of the M12 HO battery.

      Flex's woodworking tools have their sights set on being industry leaders: the impact driver and drill to name a couple. It seems like that is where their focus is to start, because their mechanical tools appear fine coming middle of the pack (high torque impact, for example). Definitely looking to see how they do adding tools in more areas, and how they hold up over time.

    FLEX has better tools Milwaukee has a bigger platform. Both great brands.
    I feel like FLEX has more power in the batteries and also the easy to see and use battery lights not to mention ease of releasing the batter vs M18 style batteries I feel are outdated with the two button release.

  • @dustinlove6487

    comparing battery sizes like it means anything for this test is laughable. Only voltage determines how many cells within a battery are sharing the load, battery AH is the size of those cells (somewhat comparable to a gas tank size in a car). Tool guys really have no idea how batteries work.

    • @toolsandtactics
      @toolsandtactics  4 месяца назад

      I mean it sounds right. Looks good on paper. But let me explain it to you more amps
      Means more cells. More cells that are able to sustain a higher voltage underload
      The voltage still says the same, but the more cells allows the battery to drop less volts when the tool is being used
      Resulting in more power because the motor is getting a higher voltage. Say about 18-17 volts. We started at 20 volts As soon as we pulled the trigger, we start dropping voltage
      So yeah, higher AH does mean more power. Thanks for playing

    • @dustinlove6487
      @dustinlove6487 4 месяца назад +1

      @@toolsandtactics More AH does not mean more cells sir, you're completely misguided on that... it's very simple

    • @toolsandtactics
      @toolsandtactics  4 месяца назад

      @dustinlove6487 oh cool. On the tools though there is a power boost with higher ah batteries. Why is that? If not "cells or more volume" thx

    • @dustinlove6487
      @dustinlove6487 4 месяца назад

      @@toolsandtactics the “power boost” or “power stack” is a marketing ploy. DC voltage is DC voltage, using a power stack battery doesn’t change the DC voltage (amount of cells sharing a load) of the tool. A lower stack battery may have larger cells or more robust cells that allow for a longer runtime. Keyword - runtime.
