Luke was always my favorite character throughout the PJ books. He was a relatable character. And no one can convince me other wise that this man was the most disturbed, distraught, and depressed character.

I think Nico comes close but Bianca's ghost and his love for Percy get him back on the right track. It would have been interesting to see him as an antagonist though, cause I believe that of all demigods, Nico's powers are the most intense even if they aren't too durable.

He's one of my favourite characters in the series too. I wish him and Thalia got to speak one last time before he died, or at least asked Annabeth to tell her he was sorry.
The 2 missed potentials of TLO:
1. Thalia not saying goodbye to Luke after Kronos was defeated and fighting him with Percy, Annabeth and Grover;
2. Not making Rachel goes to Olympus to meet the Greek Gods and making her the new Oracle during their meeting!
His storyline is one of the best in the entire series. I hate how the films did him so dirty and didn't even begin to scratch the surface of his character.

She would still be kidnapped in the Titans curse and would be told to act like she had really been kidnapped. Nothing much would change in the 4 book. In the last book annabeth will develope feelings for Percy and tell him the truth. Percy will tell Chiron about it and annabeth would not participate in the battle of New York and instead of Selena coming to rescue with ares cabin it would be annabeth. She would save everybody from the monster and at Olympus throne room she will betray Luke and tell Percy luke’s Achilles heel and Percy would hit on that spot with such force the armour will break and a shard from the armour will pierce the skin and sink into his body slowly killing Luke

@@KingNedya The movies made the Olympians pure without the deadbeat parent aspect,so movies Luke doesn't have the nuance of fighting against a corrupt Authority.
I never realized how much I appreciated Luke Cassian and Rick Riordan handling this character as much as I did

Titans Curse was my favorite book in the series because that book set the tone for the darker aspects of the series
Here me out, luke is definitely my favorite character out of all of ricks books. Hes such a great and complex character, and i wish more people will appreciate the series as a whole, and especially his character building and how great of a villain he was.

Luke’s story is truly a tragic one. One about abandonment and betrayal. With very little help, he still battled his enemies, whether they be physical or inside him. He wasn’t acknowledged as a hero until the very end, until it was too late.

The movies never really understood Luke, at least post-evil reveal. In the Sea of Monsters film he’s just this cliched stone-faced unrepentantly evil Bond villain. Luke was a really nuanced antagonist in the books. There’s one little detail from the Prophecy in The Lightning Thief that I think speaks volumes, ‘You will be betrayed by one who calls you friend’, I’m just going to let the fact that Luke considered Percy a friend in the first book just sorta well in your mind palace for a bit.

@@arjunwali9885 I know right! It proved he really wanted to be a true hero and understood that he had many things to atone for, even if he was brainwashed and it wasn't entirely his fault. He truly understood the harm of his actions, and wanted to do everything possible to be a hero again.

I just love the character of Luke. He is written as an protagonist at first, then an antagonist for the rest. But there are always moments when his good side is shown. Especially in the _Last Olympian_.
I just couldn't help but feel sympathetic towards Luke in that book. Like there are multiple times when he is Kronos but remembers his original personality.

The depth of Luke's tragedy only hits harder as I grow older. I remember The Last Olympian being one of the most emotionally exhausting things to read in my entire Middle School Life.

It would've be incredible if Riordan is planning to make a crossover involving the Camps Half-Blood and Jupiter' demigods, the Egyptian mages and the Valhalla Hotel Einherjars to finish the story!
Luke is amazing character and Percy Jackson is a brilliant series. It's a shame the movies were terrible.

@@asmiaryal3942 I think the harry potter movies are fine as a whole. The Percy Jackson movies suck. I've seen both of them. The second one is worse than the first imo. They keep basic elements of the source material, take out so many good parts, add really bad stuff, and it adds up to a really awful, sickening product.

Luke was my favourite character for the longest time!! The story of his mother broke my heart.
I really love Luke's character. Rick did a really good job with Luke, not making him just the typical "pure evil" villain but rather a guy who wanted to destroy the gods because of his resentment towards, and was helped, and at the same time, manipulated, by Kronos. I guess I could understand why he hated the gods and why he was angry at them. And his life story is really great, filled with adventure, then his betrayal, then his helping of Kronos' reformation, the war, and finally his heartbreaking end. I've always loved the PJO series and Luke's character is a really great part of it. The movies did him real dirty, making him that typical "pure evil" villain he never was in the books, partially because the movies did not include much about his background and his reasoning for his resentment towards that gods. Great video, MovieFlame! You did a rlly great job explaining his amazing and tragic life story. Can you pls also do a vid about the life of other characters like Percy, Annabeth, or Nico.

Luke reminds me of Loki from Marvel. Pretending to be on the good side in the beginning, then becoming the villain, and in the end, dying the hero(but Loki's still alive from Endgame).
This is a great story I read the books years ago but I forgot all about the details this is a great book series and he truly is a great character
