Summary: Paste had the honor of welcoming the legendary Dave Davies into the NYC studio, known for his co-founding of British rock superstar band The Kinks, as well as his extensive and successful solo work. The singer and guitarist first sang "Path is Long" from his latest album released this past spring, Open Road, which was produced by Davies' son, Russ Davies. Dave Davies then induced nostalgia in all of the session's viewers when he performed "Strangers," a beloved track from The Kinks' 1970 LP, Lola Versus Powerman and the Moneygoround, Part One. Such a lovely guy....the sentiments here are real and very affecting.....
Good day to you. Lovely song and sweet voice. Love Dave.
This is awesome. Sounds great. Dave is the most underrated guitar player and singer songwriter in rock history. Same could be said about Kinks. "When you force yourself to do things something happens" great quote. It's enough to motivate me to resubscribe to Paste Magazine again.
Excellent songs Dave! Strangers is one of my fav Kinks songs.
Thank you Dave for all your Great and Beautiful Work that has Touched The Emotions in All of Us.
Dave's the man! Seems like such a super cool dude!
Fab love u Dave x
Beautiful songs
Sounds great!
Great and unique
He wasn’t as talented as his brother as a songwriter (not many people ever have been), but he’s more talented than most people give him credit for. And he was the soul of the Kinks.
Es hermoso esto!!!!!
Touché par sa voix, même quand il parle...
They wrote some of world’s greatest songs in there moms living room. Even Van Halen covered them what does that tell you.
Anyone else disappointed that even at 70 and having recovered from a stroke, Dave can still play guitar better than you?
Dave’s solo records are better than Dave’s
