- Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame member Dave Davies of The Kinks dropped by New York's classic rock station Q104.3 last week. The legendary guitarist talked to jock Jonathan Clarke about how he came up with the iconic guitar sound on "You Really Got Me" that changed rock guitar forever, played a song from his new solo album, Rippin' Up Time, on his Epiphone Masterbilt DR-500MCE, and hinted at the possibility of a Kinks reunion.

Good to see he has recovered well from the stroke he had 12 years ago.
I saw Dave in June of 2013 at the San Diego County (Del Mar) Fairgrounds. His speech here is MARKEDLY improved from what it was only about 1.5 years ago. He's definitely got it together and is clearly working to rehabilitate himself. I'm really impressed by his playing and singing here. Long Live the Kinks!
GOD bless Dave Davies
very cool guy bless him for the courage to continue. I enjoyed it.thanks
I own an Epiphone Masterbilt DR-500MCE! I'm happy see pros use it, that means I made a good choice!
To me You Really Got Me was the first heavy metal song ever made, that song totally wiped me out when I was a kid. Bob.

Without the Kinks "Teenage Love Affair" N a bunch of other songs never would have been written. The Kinks tours are legendary...
Excellent
he played wtc nyc a year or two before it fell, he was amazing,
As with all presenters, they love the sound of their own voice. Dave wears his heart on his sleeve, unlike Ray
You know this man must've been a pisser to party with .. prolly still is ! =D
He never said jimmy page was the session guitarist when they recorded it because his brother said he weren’t as good as him to record it
