We are regrettably on the verge of a burgeoning unavoidable conflict, new to us but old to history and we have but only those who've gone before us in these battles to learn from and take from both their victories and defeats, the lessons learned so as to repeat their successes and avoid their failures. To never retreat from that resolve borne in truth and a righteous cause, not zeal alone, for its the integrity and character by which we fight that propels us to victory and not the innate violence of our barbaric nature alone. We should and must fight a more nobler battle with no less vigor without reducing ourselves to our baser selves. Retaining our honor and faith, humanity and compassion so that, when the bloodletting, guns, bombs and death stops, we may each return to our homes, to our families and society as the humane beings we were before rather than the beast we became to fight the fight. May God alone help us and have mercy on our wretched souls by His Grace and Favor alone.

We're never as strong, as we are until we have to be. Never Do as much, unless the need we see. Only give our best, when we fail at mediocrity. We Love rather than hate when we admit we're one humanity. We always give more, when compassion moves our heart with unbridled generosity. We Become more of our potential when we are made to see, that clearly our minds can believe in unfathomable possibilities, while seizing every opportunity, here in lies one's destiny. More than our scars, higher than our stars, for in our flaws are what defines our features, they're uniquely ours, as human creatures.
We can run faster than on our slowest day. Reason better, and thinking it through all the way, regardless which direction our emotions may sway. We can find our voice when speechless, our strong words with meekness and our Courage in weakness. Always patience not quickness. Silence for peace than loudness, quietness of fear, not hopeless, for time and effort are equally unbiased. We are more than the stories we're told, we're the one's we write, each page unfold. We are the sum of our Lies and truth, fantasy, fiction, faith, and myths, no matter how uncouth. These are what shape us, our lives lived is the proof. We can be more right than wrong. More just than judge. More godlike than unlike. Reflecting Sunlight in our darkest night.

When it’s man vs. man it doesn’t feel right at all no matter what side is taken, but if it’s a animal vs. a man we all feel for the man or woman involved. I guess we can all really feel this story of unity and bravery in these young men and how they fought to keep each other alive and safe.

A Poem by Steven F Gooden
Providing refuge. Never more alive until we die within and begin again. A Human Ark Divine in our human spark.
      by
      Steven Gooden

Only openly, honestly, sincerely and devotedly or else it isn't love. For love is without selfishness but rather selfless. It does not seek gain but gives. It doesn't take but sacrifices freely of its own for the good of that which it loves. It is too deep to measure, too high to ascend and so wide that you can never truly comprehend it or embrace it. It's least expression is greater than all the gold you could amass. Should you ever meet it or even glimpse it, find yourself in its presence or to have been the object of its affection, know then that you have lived more than a lifetime to have found it, for some have never crossed it's path or ever felt it's touch. Some were blind to see it although it was along side them. Others were deaf to hear it for they drowned it's soft whisper in the noise of the crowd. Still many ignored it though it called to them and beckoned them to come. Rejecting it's invitation and in so doing chose to wander alone, restless on a bed or sadness, leaving love Abandoned, without a heart to make its home. Be grateful, for you have and now are forever changed, forever Loved!❤

Bears right now are in their last feeding frenzy as winter approaches. We have lots of fat, small bears come into town this month, and my theory is they're here in Invermere (and Windermere) B.C. to get away from the much larger aggressive bears. They're rarely a problem: one chubby this a.m.walks down my street, then strolled back again. They're ready for winter.

That's the biggest reason I think there's a happy ending. The absarokas are notorious for hosting problem and habituated grizzlies, I've heard sometimes relocated from Yellowstone. When I backpacked out there in 2019 we made sure we had a party of three at least and mainly avoided heavy forest and cover
