  • Finally, A Break in the weather as i head for some Sea fishing in the U.K .Id been thinking about the beaches i've fished that are the most Consistent and here in Eastbourne there is Langney point that has always given up a fish or two whenever i have been here over the Years. I hope you will join me when we try for Bass, Sole and theres even a chance of an Autumn Plaice.

      Has the Bass record recently been broken. Thought Mr Locker would have been the man for a few years yet?🎣🐟😁

    • @SaltwaterAngler
      @SaltwaterAngler  7 месяцев назад

      @@martinbeynon5897 The Bass shore record has NOT been broken. There is some daft thing about videoing the weighing of a fish but that can be just guesswork without the stringent hoops Johns fish required. With recent breeding seasons it’s unlikely a 20lb fish will be seen for a decade. Happy to be proved wrong.

    Another great session Matt. The sole was a great catch and the unhooking of flat fish taking the hook off is the best way and safer for the fish. Love the WhatsApp updates too😊

    Not a bad little session, with a nice Dover sole and beautiful weather. Need that Vit D to keep the winter blues away. I really have to get the rods out and stop using the colder weather as an excuse for not going.

    Good advise on Dogs , when walkers with their dogs are on the beach they alway want to sinff of your bait especially Mackerel and if you leave a trace in the sand beside your fishing box or bag bingo it get caught up in there hair . PS the dogs hair and not the walkers lol . Matt keep up the good work lots love from Ireland . Regards Pat . ps between you and Billyfish on youtube yea are the best .

    Also please turn your rod rest heads around to reflect the direction of pull. As you had them a good fish would pull the rod from test 😊

    Not a bad session at all mate I haven't been out in a wile mate really looking forward to it when I do. I have the same tripod as you I love it. The amount of times I thought I had a fish on and it was just a massive clump of weed. You get all exsited and then start to thing hold on somethings not right and then the disappointment of nothing but weed hahahaha kind of funny really. Nice one again Matt. If you have a nice pair of stainless forceps you can turn the hook and pass the bend of the hook safely back through the gill, without harming the plaice and you would find it easier to unhook those small mouthed sole. You fingers are just too large, like mine mate 😉

    Great video as, usual. Yea iv been getting out to Weybourne, yarmouth north and, south plus cart gap lately. Stacks of whiting, dabs a few, plaice and, flounder. Looking for dover sole and, cod on my hit list. But just getting out does your mental wellbeing so much good like you say.

    What length continental rod would you recommend

    • @SaltwaterAngler
      @SaltwaterAngler  7 месяцев назад +1

      14ft. Bit of personal choice and obviously depends where you normally fish from. Sandy flat beaches ideal but consider something else for rock marks that have cliffs behind you
