Edit: Fubuki is Shus STUDENT, NOT his successor. There's a difference. Him being Valts successor is officially stated within the anime, both sub and dub.

@str8_jayt27Well season’s 1&2 took about a year maybe a little over. Season 3 is after a 2 year time skip. Meaning by season 3 Valt would be a high schooler. Or at least high school age.
So I’m pretty sure he graduated middle school.
Of course by that point he’s a seasoned professional who’s at the top of the sport. We see Beybalde is broadcasted worldwide especially the title matches and tornaments implying Valt DOES make good money so he probably didn’t need to go to high school.
I just realized something. Aiga's whole arc is about resurrection from failure, and his main enemy's bey is based on the phoenix, a creature known for resurrection. That's such a nice touch

They did a great job showing that Aiger’s line “ I am Achilles ” hits valt like a brick the Shu flashbacks are real.

I like how it’s inverse for Aiger, Valt in the 1st season was all about having fun and in the 2nd season, it was to always keep aiming much higher, for Aiger, he kept wanting to get stronger and eventually became the strongest, but learned how to have fun while blading
I also like the parallel that Valt also had a healthy bond with Valtryek till the end but lacked fundamentals and Skill which he had to work on. Aiger on the other hand was a talented and skilled blader from the start but lacked a real bond with Achilles.
@stephaniejohnson5361I don’t think he lacked a bond with Achilles, I mean he admired and trusted him from the start. Even when fake Ranjiro suggested he throw it away (this was after he lost to Hyde TWICE) he got annoyed and didn’t even think about it. It’s rather the more the series went on he realized he wanted power more than focusing on what he already had with Achilles.
@JustGre3d he did lack a bond. That was the whole point of his arc. Now i never said he disliked Achilles and didn't admire him, but Aiger failed to truly listen to achilles unlike Valt with Valtryek.

Aiger Akabane is a character who really grew on me over 5 years He went from on of my least favourites to one of my favourites because of how interesting his arc was.

True. Similar with me. I originally wasn’t a big fan of how over confident and obnoxious he could be. But honestly it makes his later season appearances much better because you can see the growth. And now he’s currently my 6th fav character for having the best development, and some really good signs of mentorship/support for other protagonists as well as his friends

around 9:28, when Aiga proclaims that he is Achilles, Valt probably had a flashback of some sort to Shu and Spriggan Requiem, since that was also a dark resonance and Shu said something similar to being Spriggan

I don't know if someone here mentioned this, but there's one moment in first Aiger vs Valt battle (the one for the champ title), that's absolutely amazing.
The moment when Aiger crushes Valt's Valtriek to bits, almost no one is happy with this. Fubuki feels betrayed, Naru looks like geniuenly scared, and Valt's sister literally starts crying.
This single short moment shows that feeling of "you won, but at what cost?", and in my opinion is insanely good for showing a seemingly good thing (winning the match and getting the champion title) under a whole new perspective.
Absolute peak of BBT in my opinion.
But what made me so mad was that just after destroying his bey he goes to him and says "told you I would win". Like be fr you can't say sorry or what
I have this thought, the reason why Aiger sought to become stronger is also because he does physical work where he needs to be stronger to do more stuff-

I think what's also great about aiger is that his journey shows that there is no definitely becoming the best at something
Already at the midway point of Cho-Z he becomes "the best" but is overtaken almost immediately
He becomes truly the best at the end of cho-z, but in future seasons new bladers appear who can defeat him as well as old ones getting stronger, showing that the journey to be the best is one that's never truly over, as aiger is usually one of the best bladers together with valt, shu and free (arguably lui too) at the beginning of any season, but tends to get eventually over taken by some of the newcomers, but by the start of the next season he always makes his way back to his spot at the top
Man, Aiger's voice actress did amazing especially when Achilles was destroyed. I could feel the emotional weight. Translated, Chouzetsu means "Transcendence."
Also the writer stated Aiger's story was a story of resurrection from failure and I love it. He's the first protagonist to have and entire darkness arc, as well as the first to use a balance type bey. And honestly Rise, Surge and Quadstrike only further made me love Aiger's character. Went from a somewhat selfish protag, to an out-of-character protag, to a fellow blader who helps others any way he can.
Exactly and that's why he's so unique and that's why he's an amazing character and protagonist. Definitely my second favorite protagonist of the Burst series.

@FirestoneAnimation I love the Achilles bey line to! I have all of them except Infinite Achilles. Hated how it was made into a random booster.

I heard this from a comment one time saying that aiger and Achilles have a stronger bond than any protagonist in the whole Beyblade series because Achilles was the only bay to call out to aiger when he was being destroyed valts bey never did that and no other protagonist Beyblade ever did that it was just Achilles thats how you know they have the strongest bond
Aiger was my favorite mc. No lie. He was so unique and cool in my opinion. Whenever I buy beyblades o always make sure to look for achillies. Also me and aiger have the same birthday which was really cool for me.

I really appreciated Aiger's arc throughout Turbo, he managed to climb out of a deep pit and see the light at the end of the tunnel, his core theme is resurrection from failure, and that is something very inspiring to many people, if things aren't going well for you, think that they'll only get better from here and strive to make it better. That's why Aiger Akabane is a great protagonist.

Aiger was the character who I’ve had the most improved opinion on: in Turbo he just felt too full of himself for me personally (mainly because I hate characters with big egos but don’t get humbled), but the more I rewatched Turbo and watched the later seasons was when I realised that he had the best development and was one of the best characters. He shot up to being my 6th fav character in all of Burst.
But too fast and all about being all powerful unlike valt who was actually a fun guy to be with
Man I love Aiger definitely one of my favorite BEYBLADE characters
He's definitely my second favorite Burst protagonist, probably my second favorite Beyblade protagonist in general.

Despite what people say about aiga, id always have respect for him as a character and loved seeing how far hes come. Hed always have a special place in my heart as not just a protagonist amongst beyblade, but a protagonist umongst anime.

The beginning of aiga was pissing me off - the guy was beating bladers left, right and center, even though he was a newbe and they were somewhat of veterans or actually world ranked...
But he grew on me
I’d say my favorite part of Aiger’s character is that he’s constantly fighting to not loose control of his emotions through his anger. And it’s not an inner demon like Asta or Naruto, he actually just has anger issues that he has to overcome.
I'm happy that there are people who can look past his initial cockiness and appreciate just how different his journey throughout the season is compared to Valt's.
He's like an even more energetic valt and i love him for it

You brought up every point I have always pointed out about Him . I also find it fascinating that we Finally start seeing home life's of these characters in burst. My favorite part is that he wasn't some city kid he was a blue-collar family kid. I'd say he had some of the most natural talent and work the hardest He was also one of the most capable people because he never stopped adapting.

I always liked Valt and Dante more but as of last year, despite burst being on its last year, Aiger not only became my favorite burst character, but favorite protagonist. I he grows a lot in his series , but my favorite thing is how in the later seasons, when he ages up, we get to see the results of the lessons he learned. Teaching them to other protagonists, and being there for them in low points like his friends were there for him for when he was in a far worse place. Ik this is a long comment, but I feel like it’s worth it.
I mean I have to agree: the scenes where he’s telling the protagonists that he had a lot of help to get where he is are my fav scenes in those seasons (Rise and Surge). This was one of the main reasons why my opinion on him improved so drastically. And you were right to say your comment was worth it.
@AutumnBlaze689 I wanted to list them but I held back. Even him just bey there for pri, or one of my favorite scenes with him comforting Dante when his bey broke. Knowing that was a pain he’d already felt, knowing that Dante wanted to beat Arthur, he comforted and encouraged him, as his friends did when he went through the same experience.
@ShadowNinja375 Exactly. I’d add the one with Hikaru as well because Aiger actually wanted to comfort him for not making it to the finals: it wasn’t about him it was about helping someone else which is one of the best shows of his development.
It’s one of Aiger’s best qualities: he knows how to support others in recent seasons and to just take a moment to give them advice or teach them something important. Like Pri with her self-identity, Dante to keep moving forward, and Hikaru for the same thing and to also realise that there are other people who will be there for you. (That last one is more his recounting but still it counts. And also applies to Dante before that scene when his bey got destroyed.)
@AutumnBlaze689 100% agree, I didn’t go in depth for Hikaru since you mentioned him in the first comment, just not the scenario. It really is on of my favorite parts about his character.

There was also the fact that Hikaru didn’t have as obvious of something to learn from Aiger like Dante and Pri did, which is why it’s probably the least significant of the 3 moments. It was good for Aiger’s character but Hikaru doesn’t take anything from it except the fact that Aiger is a more selfless person now.

I think you should honestly do a video about Drum/Dante as he is my favorite Beyblade protagonist with Valt right behind him. I also liked how he had a character theme that being Friendship which I think fits his character really well but something I find interesting is that the creator doesn’t mention the other protagonists character theme (which honestly made me think that he had envisioned Beyblade Burst to end with GT) but they definitely have character thenes but there not as noticeable as the Valt, Aiga, and Drum.

I usually pressure myself during class to have high grades and to be the best, but when I have a bad result, I started to become frustrated and mad at myself and I sometimes would cry and my classmates would comfort me. Another touch I noticed that I don't think some people see is that when Aiger starts becoming more and more corrupted his super saiyan god form (I don't care) it no longer would switch over to his bey and it would just be him powering up and then Achilles would appear
