I rather take the wildlife here for granted nowadays so the enthusiasm was a nice reminder of how as a kid I would run around the desert catching lizards and tarantulas and sitting still in washes and watching the wildlife around me. :)
Got serious old school Steve Irwin vibes from this, back when he'd do all his own videos with a video camera and a spotlight and I love it xD. Also why do I have a feeling that one of the next critters Emily and Ed get will be Banded geckos? xD That one *really* wanted to come home with them lol.
Thats such a wholesome thought, that Emily is a mini Steve.. She has a touch of the magic he had, she has it with reptiles while he had it with all animals.. Its like elemental powers only with critters
Good job with the tarantula, Emily! I have a terrible fear of insects and I can't imagine working through that the way you handled that fear of tarantulas. Amazing.
I like the sidewinder! I'm glad you were able to help. Even though the most dangerous thing I saw in your video was that mesquite tree/devil's tree, it's made of pure evil.
your videos got me confident enough to get the reptiles I love. keep up with the education and enthusiasm! I hope to get a group of my friends to herp with me in the future.

i appreciate how the thorny lizard was starting to get sleepy on your hand... just "mmmmm warm spot... yes... this is a safe place to possibly sleep. On this giant flesh creatures hand. They can't possibly want to hurt me."
I'm glad you guys were able to help that li'l sidewinder, though I think it was partly because they sensed that you were trying to help (as wild critters can). The spooder looked like a pretty chill dude, too. :D
im so impressed you tried to work over your fear of tarantulas. i dont think i could hold one for that long, i held one about 5 years ago for about 30 seconds. ill just appreciate spiders from a distance lol
I was today relaxing in a botanical garden and there were so many cute little lizzard, I took lots oft fotos, one was basking in the sun, very visible, and after every picture he came closer and almost posed for me :D
Girl...Emily has nerve of steal! I mean we all already knew that from before, but picking up that wild tarantula I could really feel the size of the bravery gene she has 😱 Brilliant video guys ❤️
I live in AZ, so all of the animals, sights and sounds are so familiar. They’re right outside! A few weeks ago I saw two male tarantulas a few feet away from eachother. I’ve also caught banded geckos, bullsnakes, a shovelnose snake, and a beautiful black coachwhip! Bobcats also walk right onto my porch
You normally find the "horned toad" (lizard) in the middle of red ant piles. That's why they have the armored spikes. We generally call them Colorado river toads here in Tucson and they can easily grow to the size of dinner plates. You should keep an eye out for the king snakes out here. They hunt and eat rattlesnakes.

the entire time Emily was holding the tarantula all I could think was "nope"
Same. I kept catching myself turning away too and muttering "nope, nope, nope"
As a native Arizonan, I really appreciate this video! :D
Wondering if we'll be seeing breeding projects in the future for banded geckos and gopher snakes. Seems like Emily made friends.
She seems like one of the most sweetest persons you would ever meet.

Edd: Go find a lady.
Me: He already did-
My daughter and I love your show. I wish you had given an indication about what part of Arizona you were in. So many people think it’s all desert here, or the different flora and fauna we have here. 🌵
I miss Arizona, moved out there when I was 20. I loved it there and now I'm going into fall and then winter.. ugh
I love animal people! They’re always so excited to teach people about animals.
I live in az and there is a plant that smells like rain everywhere you should smell them
Also for anyone wondering there is cities in az and they rarely have any animals
i appreciate how the thorny lizard was starting to get sleepy on your hand... just "mmmmm warm spot... yes... this is a safe place to possibly sleep. On this giant flesh creatures hand. They can't possibly want to hurt me."
Ed: *Boops the jumping cactus*
Me, who lives in AZ *"YOU MADMAN"*
all the animals are really cool but i can't help but to wonder...
where'd you get that charzard belt buckle?
Asking the real questions 😊
I know I'm a year late, but I think she hot it in one of the fan mail opening vids!
Why, autocorrect? Got, not hot!
Correct me if I am wrong but Arizona Blonde Tarantulas are known to be one of the most docile species in general, right?
Arizona blondes and Mexican red knees are the most docile that I've studied so far
I'm glad you guys were able to help that li'l sidewinder, though I think it was partly because they sensed that you were trying to help (as wild critters can). The spooder looked like a pretty chill dude, too. :D
16:50 that poor snake :( good job doing the little guys a favor!!
I KNOW THAT MOUNTAIN! I LiVe ThERe!!!!
4:30 Oooo that's probably an Arizona Blonde! They are really friendly and docile. They're just skittish
Edit: 5:15 yay I was right
And Emily is a Minnesota blonde.
im so impressed you tried to work over your fear of tarantulas. i dont think i could hold one for that long, i held one about 5 years ago for about 30 seconds. ill just appreciate spiders from a distance lol
I once found a gecko that had a small tail growing out of the middle of his current tail
Thats cool, there was a brown anole around my houce whos tail split into two tails. He hung around for a while. He was super cool.
I love how sidewinders move
It's cool to watch
I was today relaxing in a botanical garden and there were so many cute little lizzard, I took lots oft fotos, one was basking in the sun, very visible, and after every picture he came closer and almost posed for me :D
The baby Coach Whip sent me into cuteness overload ❤️
Girl...Emily has nerve of steal! I mean we all already knew that from before, but picking up that wild tarantula I could really feel the size of the bravery gene she has 😱 Brilliant video guys ❤️
I live in AZ, so all of the animals, sights and sounds are so familiar. They’re right outside! A few weeks ago I saw two male tarantulas a few feet away from eachother. I’ve also caught banded geckos, bullsnakes, a shovelnose snake, and a beautiful black coachwhip! Bobcats also walk right onto my porch
Do you know what the bird singing was?
This video makes me miss AZ so much, it's so wonderful there
not gonna lie, emily being scared of a spider is very entertaining and cool to watch. Atleast she is scared of something
It's so cool to watch reptiles in their natural habitat! :)
edit: well, animals in general
"It has been raining in Arizona"
*Me looking outside at the blue sky and the non existent monsoon season*
*Retreats back inside to get out of the mid 90 degree weather in September*
I never thought there are amphibians out in the desert! Really awesome video!!
I lost it when that lil gecker closed his eyes as he chilled on your leg 😆
They're so pretty!! I love how you just go around helping out wild animals like that--even a venomous one! Awesome.
Also I kinda want one of those geckos now XD He can be friends with my beardy X3
I loved this so much!
I keep tarantulas and it made me so giddy seeing you handle this beautiful boy. I actually dont have this species in my collection... yet...
The baby gopher snakes
