A ball python in my store had a bad shed last week. She was kept in the back and not being handled much since our floor habitats were full, so she was usually very grumpy. I gave her a bath and started rubbing her stuck shed off, and she melted in my hands and started patting her nose all over me.
Yes, snakes love a little help shedding lol.
Oh yeah. Mine had some difficulty with his last shed, didn't appreciate me touching him until he realized skin was coming off

I’m so glad that the cleft lip has made it so far! Though it is a shame that when the baby is ready to go to her mama then we won’t be able to see her anymore, hopefully the mama will send you guys updates on how she’s doing
I am taking biology as a prerequisite to a science degree which I am getting before working towards a masters in wildlife biology. I actually found the genetics talk very interesting as this is currently what I am learning in school and I found it so cool to visually see a dihybrid cross being played out with brad and peanut, two snakes I adore! Can't wait for future breeding projects with their offspring!

When breeding, do personality traits come through genetically? Seems like with bull snakes you’ll have clutches that are angry and others that are more chill. Are the difficult bullsnakes mirroring the parent’s personalities?
Genes haven’t really been identified that align with personality traits, BUT in any animal you breed you’re unlikely to get an animal that’s more angry, aggressive, or defensive than its parents are just on instinct. Abusing animals makes them worse in terms of anger and aggression, but proper care attention can actually reverse some of that trauma. When it comes to reptile temperaments it’s pretty similar. Nice reptiles tend to make nice babies together, but handling tames down even the angriest

You should be able to breed for personality. Horses are one species but different breeds have different temperament.

It’s so sweet to give someone a pet that has the same flaw as the owner. There was a little girl missing an arm who got a kitten missing a foreleg. The first bull snake, Brad’s daughter, and the ghost morph are very nice specimens.
It’s kind of obvious that Emily gets bitten more than she may have bargained for. Look at all dem cuts!

Of course all your reptiles are pets, that can't be denied- but, birds need your constant love and affection like a cat- can't just live in a zoo! I bet she'd get lonely. So, it makes 100% sense that you're taking her to and fro!
Im so glad that you love bean! Hes my favorite character and i love the perspective in enders shadow! The whole series is great! Mostly, even if cryosleep and space travel isnt the easiest to follow. And that whole time travel with the vegetable, and jane.....

@@Beaah you get 1 book/month with the subscription - but yes, I ended up cancelling it too. It's a drag that the audiobooks are tied to their application.

Technically hognoses are venemous but their venom is like a bee sting
Christina McGinnis She does technically have venomous snakes lol.. hognoses and false water cobras are venomous, just their venom isn’t as strong and delivery system is much weaker.

I snuck my first snake into the house without telling my parents, I now have 13 snakes, most I had was 37 after the boa had 23 babies several years back

Genuine question. I’ve been watching this channel for YEARS and I find it very interesting. What happens when a pet snake dies? I’ve always wondered what the owners do with the body. Do you burry them in your backyard like you would typically do with a pet dog or cat? Weird but genuine question. I’ve always been curious.

became a new sub today. I have been a snake guy all my life, and even worked at the Sacramento Zoo back in the late 70s helping feed all the reptiles every other Wednesday. Now I just enjoy watching a learning about reptiles on YT. No snakes now, but that is okay. You have such a ease and comfortable presence with your animals. also noticed you have one of the larger subs at 1.5 mil. Look forward to watching all your videos.

I had no idea that Emily's Buccees obsession dated back several years. I never even heard of Buccees until earlier this year. Still haven't been to one, but I almost never get out of the house. Love these guys. Two of the most likeable people on the platform.
