My daughter was born 2 months early and has been battling the complications of Wolff Parkinson’s white syndrome.. lots of long nights praying she would survive while still inside of me, and lots of nights sleeping with a crash cart outside of her NICU room. I was in hospital for 2 months but they let me sneak out to see Bublés. Concert right before she was born. She has been in the nicu ever since. Today we have received the news that Adelaide will be discharged and can finally come home on Christmas ❤️ what a miracle. We have been listening to this song on repeat ❤❤

As someone in their late 20’s who misses all 4 grandparents, this song makes me miss the hello’s, the hugs, the dinners, the cups of coffee, and so much more. I can’t stress enough that you have to cherish that stuff. Because when it’s gone that’s it. You aren’t getting that back.

Thank God for taking care of my grandpa and not seeing him in pain but I remember he died peacefully in his sleep and the next morning my poor brother found him before my nana that was before Christmas
My mother had an Asthma attack today on Christmas Eve and just now had to go into the urgent care clinic... I don't know if she'll be back to watch the movie that we've been planning but this song seems to fit my situation pretty well. It's only off by one day. Really I don't know if she'll be home for Christmas either.

I love Michael's music, as he and Harry Connick Jr are those who introduced me to jazz and big band. Michael is now a staple in my house at Christmas, singing these, and so many other songs, so beautifully.

The original lyrics are "Presents on the tree.." Back in the day (when this song was composed) people would have presents in and on their tree. Other places too, but that's the way it was written. It doesn't make it a worse song though. Always been one of my favs

sometimes, i feel so down and low. my family isn't as supportive as id like them to be. recently, i stormed out of my house after getting into a fight with my parents. i went to the park and realized it was the first day of snow this year. seeing all the untouched snow, resting over like a blanket onto the changing leaves, i sang this song while walking around the park. i realized how much i loved christmas, how often i dreamt of a snowglobe hallmark movie christmas. i never got it, but what i do get is the luck of actually having my family with me for christmas. the thought of wanting to spend every christmas with my family and never growing up hit me hard. it was the that thought that eventually led me home again.
