The lyrics are so deep and metaphoric. The snowman symbolizes a person whom you really love but cannot be there with you forever, like the snowman (or the person) are just seasonal and has an end. While the girl who created the snowman symbolizes the person who is still holding onto the relationship, she kept the snowman in a little cooler box to keep them from melting (disappearing) and denying the fact that eventually its gonna melt soon (or the relationship will end) if she's not gonna do anything about it. But she's still desperate enough to go to the north pole to keep them from melting...and that just really proves that when you really love someone, you will do anything just to be with them.
