"John Wayne doesn't use real bullets brother" That's a hell of a line
I'm stealing that one
@@russellcampbell3500 Me too 😹
My grandad said he didn't see him on iwa jima either
@@clayton5584 Not hard to imagine he missed him...there were a lot of guys there, and they were being shot at....Tell your granddad that Errol Flynn isn't really a pirate, and George Reeves doesn't really fly, either....
@@jaythor70 way to ruin a joke
The best thing about these interviews is listening to a guy I never really watched or knew a whole lot about, becoming a fan of them as a person and then going back to watch their stuff in the ring and becoming a fan of that. Scott Norton is a stand up dude - much respect to him and his career in arm and pro wrestling.
It is kinda cool
LMA0…you’re seriously selecting SCOTT NORTON as a candidate for this..? With all of the no-name clowns this dude has grilled? SCOTT NORTON? Really? 😳
@@russellcampbell3500…?
@@marcbasil you keep liking your own comments brother, what do care who he's a fan over. The guy accomplished alot just because u can't respect that u clown on others yes we see who the clown is. Hahahaha this coming from a guy who has orange Cassidy poster on his wall. Hahahahahaha
@@marcbasil As a candidate for what? Someone I didnt follow during his time and learned about - Yes. I don't know what is funny about that, but laugh away if it tickles you so.
You know Scott is a tough man. He'll down play how tough he is and talk about others being tougher. and he's a nice man if you come with respect
Right same time he's one of the toughest without claiming he is. On top of that he's a huge guy and was agile for his size. He knows but he's humble
Very humble
And hey anyone who could play a chop for chop with Meng and survive??????!?!?!?!???!?!!!
Deserves an award for that alone!!!!
(Truth he did show pain and quit first lol)but it’s Haku so yeah
Still Scott’s a real dude!!!!
One thing that bums me out about Bad News is he was in the preliminary stages of getting his personal archive and photo collection in order to work on a memoir. THAT would have been a great read. I live in Calgary and used to go to the matches every Friday with my best friend. I can't count how many times we saw Bad News wrestle - but A LOT. For me there was no better card in the world than a card in 82/83 with Bad News, Bret, Davey Boy, and Dynamite on it. 82/83 was the Dynamite Kid at the absolute pinnacle of his abilities and guys like Bret, Davey, and Bad News would elevate their game exponentially any time they were in a ring with Dynamite. He forced guys to bring their A-game and we got incredible matches out of it. I know Bad News has said the two guys he worked with that were untouchable were Steamboat and Dynamite. Oh my god those matches we'd see in 82/83 were unreal. Dynamite was fearless and he pushed everyone to be fearless too including Bad News.
Every Tuesday in Regina exhibition Auditorium!!!!!! 1,800 seater
Must have been great shows. We're you there for Billy Jack?
@@Matiosav Absolutely. He came up here with a guy named Scott Ferris. The previous week in Portland they had gone down to the arena there wanting to ask how they could get in the business. They asked the locker room leader at the time - a guy named Dutch Savage how to get into the business and Savage told them to beat it. Dr. D. David Schultz watched this. Dr. D split his week between Calgary and Portland. He approached Billy and said if you are really serious about getting into wrestling you need to be in Calgary next Friday, go to the arena, and find a man named Stu Hart. And that's what they did. Billy Jack was trained for the most part by Dynamite and Davey and he learned REAL QUICK. He also looked incredible. After only about 5 weeks training in the Dungeon Stu put him on TV. He picked it up SO FAST. I was blown away when I learned in the internet age that Billy had just over a month of training before being put on TV. He was good right out of the box. I mean, damn, he was the top babyface in Portland in less than a year from his first day of training. Billy has since said that he had a dilemma on his shoulders after seeing how much work and travel was involved in wrestling compared to dealing drugs in Portland bars and, ultimately, he missed the easy money from dealing so he left Calgary after one summer. Today, knowing his training history, I can say Billy was one of the fastest learners ever to come out of the Dungeon. Another guy that was put on TV really fast was Brian Pillman. He was on TV only 6 weeks after starting training in the Dungeon but he was nowhere near as polished as Billy Jack Haynes. Out of the eight weeks or so that Billy was in the territory I saw five of his matches. They kept putting him in the ring with Bruce Hart and it was like watching a midget tagging with a normal sized guy. Shame about the predicament Billy is in right now. That man should never have been allowed access to firearms with his level of paranoia and delusion.
@@misterslats wonder if dynamite stretched bjh?
That John Wayne line is GOLD
''You're a Jinx.'' 🤣
Much respect for Bad News Allen, very down to earth. Saw his comments on Dr. D David Schulz; very different than other views.
What did he say about Dr d
@@Matiosav ruclips.net/video/e1TTaVA5Vys/видео.htmlsi=t9qtNcFjVe1pad6v
@@Matiosav he didn't really care for Dr D and I think he felt that Dr D was sort of a braggart and when he worked with him in Japan Dave Schultz did not always shall we say come across as is tough as sometimes he's lead some people to believe I'm not saying David Schultz isn't tough but when I hear all the stories that he says a side of me thinks he's trying to be his own B movie actor and I just think some of his stories may be a little far-fetched I'll leave it at that.
For me as an average sized man and speaking for the 5'10" 170 types I'd take one look at Schultz who was what 6'4" 260 and I'd want nothing to do with that lol. Whether he was truly tough compared to men his size which what 1 or 2% of men that's something else.
@j.c.ca.o.l7035 not to mention Dr.D used a lot racial slurs
Can Scott Norton get his own Channel, James? He’s awesome
Right
All the info and stories on Japan would be great!
Scott Norton needs his own channel
I'm sure he has some great stories to tell! From wrestling in Japan and WCW, to even his days bodyguarding for Prince
@@stevens7525 I definitely want to hear Prince stories. That’d be awesome.
New found respect for Scott Norton. Seems so chill. Loved him in Fire&Ice.
Scott Norton is such a credit to Professional Wrestling and what it is all about.
Scott Norton was my favorite member of NWO back in the day. I was so pissed when they fed him to Goldberg.
But he did some big offence to Goldberg, a reserve shoulder-breaker, which looked great. That match could've gone any way that Norton wanted it to (just like Regal) and Goldberg wouldn't be able to do a thing without permission.
Probably the best heel stampede ever had.
Norton was bad ass in nWo
Jericho tells a story about how Norton told jericho to do something about scott hall fucking with him or that norton was gonna do something about it norton didn't fuck around
Yes never seen john till this interviews only had like 6 stations growing up just wwf if the damn TV would come in seems like a great guy love his stories
John?
Didn't Bad News get pissed at Andre and challenge him and Andre backed down.
Andre kept using the "N" word on the bus , Bad news got the driver to pull over and got off and challenged Andre to get off and fight him. He didn't!
Exactly, Andre didn’t move. King Kong bundy pro wrestling diary explains in detail the Andre/bad news bus story
Andre was dying around that time. Nobody beats a healthy andre
@@Geraldo-ro9rc Anyone with decent size and skill would put his ass on the go.👊🏾
@@douglaspaterson5269 Nope. Doesnt work like that. He was a literal giant. You can be the toughest guy ever and it still wont matter. It wouldnt be a fair fight anyway because of how big he was.
Bad News Brown was legit tough man. He was the first American to win a medal in the Olympics. His training was mainly in Japan for Judo but which was unheard of at that tim. He was legit scary heel, and most of the wrestlers would have a hard time back in his day in a shoot fight with Bad News. RIP Allen Coage Bad News Allen.
He really wasn't the first American to win an Olympic medal
According to Wikipedia, “His victory made him the first African American to win a solo Olympic Games medal in a sport other than boxing or track and field.”
That would certainly make him the first American Judoka to win an Olympic medal.
So yeah, he was a legit badass.

Bad News Allen was a legit Judoka and even Andre the Giant wanted no part of him. Not wise to potato that guy
The AWA monster known as Flapjack!
Remember Andre literally shitting on Bad News 😂
Yh as I remember the story of Andre shitting it from Bad News on a bus ride after News had enough of Andre's racist jokes.
@rosefarrell2440 I believe Andre shit on him in the ring actually.
Scott Norton gives great interviews.
Norton took the Snitski defense on his stiffness! IT WASN'T MY FAULT!! 😂😂
Was a bouncer a julios night club in Warrenville New jersey. Use to watch him knock guys out in 10 seconds n drag them out all night .. big quick judo master
With men like that, somebody could get killed easily(Adrian Adonis(shooter) fighting Dan Spivey for example).
D. Spivey was a collector for Trafficante Family(or associates) in Tampa. He's carrying a real heavy rep.
THEN they lose jobs/money, lawsuits, future opportunities. As a man, you got to grow out of that stuff.
Where can I find out more about this connection between Spivey and Trafficante? Where did you hear it?
Bad news is another character you could never create in today's environment it would be so controversial
How?
A black dude doing judo ......I don't know.....
Calling him Bad News Allan, and not Bad News Brown, made me respect Norton even more. Yes, I'm a wrestling snob.
Hey snob, it's "Allen" not "Allan" 🤓
Agree with scott You're co workers cant be bashing each other's heads in
Scott flash Norton was my favorite guy back in the G
Bad News was a Judo Medalist !
I knew Don Callis wasn't just blowin' smoke!
I remember I shook his giant, concrete hand. I'm a big guy, but holy shit. It was solid. Not even an exaggeration
Really enjoying the clips from this interview, i hadnt seen Norton speak before and i had wrongly assumed he would be an angry meathead, complete opposite!
He's a lumberjack and that's ok....
I was always a big fan of "Flash," going back to his AWA days. I had always thought WCW blew a big opportunity to have Norton as a monster heel.
I actually liked the Fire & Ice tag team with Scott and Ice Train, for what they were. I thought WCW could have done a lot more with them as a team, too. Although, I think I remember hearing recently that Ice Train fucked that up; I can't recall how though.
On a side note...
One could go through the WCW roster from say 1990 to 1999, and literary start a promotion with just the talent in which WCW management completely missed the boat with:
"Stunning" Steve Austin
Brad Armstrong
Bam Bam Bigelow (pre-'91)
Brian Pillman
Ron Simmons
the Patriot
PN News (ROFL🤣 I'm kidding)
Booker T (pre-'97)
Scott Steiner (pre-'96)
Lord Steven Regal (William Regal)
Diamond Studd (Scott Hall)
Owen Hart
Cactus Jack
Mike Rotunda
Scott Norton
"Dr. Death" Steve Williams
"Mean" Mark Callous ('Taker)
Raven
Perry Saturn
Eddie Guerrero
Dean Malenko
Chris Benoit
Terry Gordy (pre-'93)
etc.
Bad News!!!
Maybe this is why he was dismissive of the Cat. He had already met the original.
Bad New Allen threated to kick Andre the Giant's ass for making racist comments. Andre didn't want the smoke and that story is verified by serval wrestlers in shoot interviews.
Who else verified it? I’ve only heard Allen say that.
@@jorndoff2002King Kong Bundy.
A healthy andre beats everyone. This was the mid to late 80s when andres health was horrible.
@@Geraldo-ro9rc Maybe andre should've considered his poor health before spewing racial slurs. He was said to eat and drink like a disgusting pig, so he should've known he end up cutting his days short

Stone Cold stole Bad News' gimmick & never gave him credit...Chews my hyde, Smh
The title cracks me up. Bad News and many others have told the story about Coage, literally, taking a sh*t from Andre. Sh*t all over him while he was stuck in the corner, apparently.
I’m being purposefully obtuse, here, but I thought it was funny.😂

Who the hell is bad news “allen”?
His name before WWF
Why is he calling Bad News Brown, Bad News Allen?
Allen Coage wrestled around the world in multiple promotions for over a decade as Bad News Allen. But for one two-year run in WWF, he went by Bad News Brown.
That was his name pretty much his entire career
Bad news brown was the BS WWF name. We all knew him as bad news Allen first .
Are you serious? Because he was Bad News Allen everywhere in the World in his nearly 20 year career except for the 16 or 17 months he was in the WWF. Norton knew him in Japan where he was Bad News Allen.

Booker and Ricky????
Ricky who?Steiner or steamboat or rude?
Always hear about how tough this guy was this guy is.
Tough isn't about your God given height and weight or how much you can beat up people.
Tough is how much shit you can take and keep going, being cool enough to avoid fights and to defend yourself but others.
All these he beat up these guys he pushes around these guys.
If that's the case jbl be the toughest guy ever, he was 6 8 whatever and he pushed around anyone he didn't like.
Having self control, honor and being a all around well demeanor while not letting all the shit life throws at you is being tough.
Cancer kids are tougher than anyone healthy with 250 lbs of muscle

@Jmccre19 as, Mark, cena, hunter and Vince should've he's the boss right but he let it go on because he was his top guy then. You get my entire drift no?
