REGAIN AND WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT:
Regaining weight after surgery can feel like a setback, but remember, every journey has its ups and downs. You've already taken a bold step towards a healthier you, and setbacks are just detours, not dead ends. The key is not to dwell on the setback but to refocus on your goals and the reasons why you embarked on this journey in the first place.
Combatting weight regain starts with self-compassion and understanding. Be kind to yourself and acknowledge that setbacks happen. Then, it's time to reassess your habits and make adjustments. Revisit your diet and exercise routine with the guidance of your healthcare team. Incorporate more whole foods, lean proteins, and vegetables into your meals. Stay hydrated and mindful of portion sizes.
Physical activity is crucial. Find activities you enjoy and make them a regular part of your routine. Whether it's walking, dancing, or swimming, aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise most days of the week.
Remember, you're not alone in this journey. Seek support from friends, family, or support groups who understand what you're going through. Surround yourself with positivity and encouragement.
Most importantly, believe in yourself. You've already shown incredible strength by undergoing surgery and committing to a healthier lifestyle. Trust in your ability to overcome challenges and stay focused on your goals. With determination, perseverance, and support, you can overcome weight regain and continue moving forward on your journey to better health.
WILL I LOSE ALL MY HAIR AFTER WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY?
Facing hair loss after weight loss surgery can be disheartening, but it's important to remember that it's often a temporary side effect of a major transformation. Just as your body is adjusting to its new shape, your hair is also going through a transition period.
Think of it as a symbol of your body's resilience and adaptability. Your focus on health and well-being has kickstarted a remarkable journey, and your body is simply reallocating resources to support your overall health.
In time, as your body stabilizes and your nutritional intake becomes more balanced, you'll likely notice your hair starting to regrow. Be patient and gentle with yourself during this process. Nourish your body with nutrient-rich foods, stay hydrated, and consider incorporating supplements recommended by your healthcare provider to support hair health.
Remember, your worth and beauty extend far beyond your outward appearance. Embrace your journey, celebrate your progress, and trust in your body's ability to heal and thrive. Every strand of regrowth is a testament to your strength, resilience, and unwavering commitment to your well-being.

Good to see you again! I'm 8 months out from RNY in Guelph. Living close to Goderich Ontario and I'm down 80 pounds from 297. Winter is hard here in Ontario. I've got myself a treadmill (used) to try to keep active during the winter. Seeing your progress is very inspirational and motivating. You look great! LOVE your hair!

You said all the words perfectly!!! No shame, English is hard!!! I'm learning French and your English is wayyy better than my French, be kind on yourself ❤

Thanks Jenn, you're too kind. ❤ English is my preferred language but I struggle with the pronunciation of certain words, particularly words that have a Greek or French root as I tend to want to pronounce them in their original form. I hope all is well with you. Thanks for watching my video. Enjoy your weekend ❤

I am in line to have surgery, just went to the introductory session on Monday. I also know, being in Canada, that winter is a hard time to stay active. Intellectually, I know that just dressing for the weather and getting out in it is the best thing to do, but it is harder said than done! I am very interested in your book! Don't lose heart, everyone gets fluffier in the winter!

Your hair looks adorable and so healthy! Love the color! Years ago I worked overnight shift and YES…. That can affect your weight….. it is so hard on your body. I am 19 weeks post op RNY and down 65 lbs….l only lose 1-2 lbs a week lately….. I know that is still good, but just thought I would still be losing more each week at this point….. not complaining…. I will take any loss. Just curious - did you have the same experience? When did you notice that your hair loss started to slow down? Thanks for any info….. thanks for another good video. Appreciate you!

Hi Mary Renee! Congrats on taking the big step! 19 weeks post op is a good place to be. You've gone through all the hard phases and now you're stabilizing. It is completely normal that the weight loss slows down. In fact, I was losing and gaining, and stalling during that period. Make sure you monitor your protein intake and drink enough water. I started to lose the most amount of hair at 4 months post op and it finally slowed down towards 10 months post op. However everyone is different and I also have hypothyroidism which also affects my hair growth... I'd love to learn more about your experience and how you're feeling. Have you found your new "normal" yet? Keep me posted xoxo

Hi Tina. I originallyt weighed 356lbs and I now weigh 232 lbs as of today. I am still trying to lose weight and dealing with stalls. My blood work is all in the normal range now. I don't have fatty liver and I don't have type 2 diabetes any more but I has 180lbs in my mind and I would like to reach that.

You're making your videos too long to talk about things that are really not important and you really just need to tell about what you're weighing and what you're eating
