i was put on a cancellation list so of people cancel i take their spot so far one person cancelled and i had a phone call over the phone with the surgeon about 2 months ago and then someone else cancelled and now have a call with the dietitian on jan 21 …. not sure if this is a normal process lol

I am so glad to hear from you. Mental hunger is so hard to deal with. I found that the surgery helped me by changing my taste buds and restricting me, however I often think about food. I have learned to develop a better relationship with food by allowing myself to eat a bite of something if I truly crave it and not feel guilty about it and hide it from others. I will allow myself to enjoy it and not binge on it, because restricting myself would trigger my binging. Over time my tastes and cravings have changed, however. I hope you're healthy and happy. Hi Tina. I originallyt weighed 356lbs and I now weigh 232 lbs as of today. I am still trying to lose weight and dealing with stalls. My blood work is all in the normal range now. I don't have fatty liver and I don't have type 2 diabetes any more but I has 180lbs in my mind and I would like to reach that.

@thistothatlife I am almost 8 months post op now and down about 57 lbs. I have not incorporated exercise yet, so when I do I know the weight will drop even more. I feel better and look better so that's a bonus

Hi Heather. I suffered some hairloss that lasted about 4 months. Handful of hairs would fall off but more would grow in. It's a bit scary but your body stabilises. Just focus on increasing your protein intake and water. That's crucial.

I have tried everything and so far only Rizatriptan works 100% for me.

Thank you for your comment. Over time, you can have everything you used to have prior to surgery. Your body will let you know what and when. I drink with straws and have had a beer here and there. I am wishing you much health and happiness. I hope you're always well.

Hi Mary Renee! Congrats on taking the big step! 19 weeks post op is a good place to be. You've gone through all the hard phases and now you're stabilizing. It is completely normal that the weight loss slows down. In fact, I was losing and gaining, and stalling during that period. Make sure you monitor your protein intake and drink enough water. I started to lose the most amount of hair at 4 months post op and it finally slowed down towards 10 months post op. However everyone is different and I also have hypothyroidism which also affects my hair growth... I'd love to learn more about your experience and how you're feeling. Have you found your new "normal" yet? Keep me posted xoxo

I start taking a pill if my blood pressure is lower than 95 the high number. It is crazy!! This summer we are going to a cruise soon and also later on i want to go back home to Puerto Rico to visit my family and my niece and nephew. How are you doing?
