Thank you for your transparency and honesty. I am going to share this with my WLS support group. So many have questions and concerns that you’ve answered here. Your fears, challenges, and successes are inspiring. ❤❤
Thank you, I appreciate your comments and your support. I'm now 14 months post op and surgery seems like a distant memory now. I just released a video today and I was thinking back about all the different phases.... I can't believe it's been 14 months.... I am so grateful for this surgery. Thank you for watching and thank you for sharing. I wish you the best in your journey. Keep me posted on where you're at :)
Believe in yourself. Trust that all will go well. Give yourself time to adapt and patience. You'll be able to do soooooo much with your children afterwards. You'll have soooo much more energy and less physical restrictions. My family and I are vacationing in Alberta this summer. By then you'll be a PRO at Bariatric life! Keep pushing throught!
Sorry to hear your mum is having issues. I pray for her quick recovery. Happy Bariversary. Thanks for honouring us with your story and always making such greatly detailed and informative videos.
Hi Michelle :) I am so glad to hear form you. Thank you for watching my videos. I hope they help. Wishing you lots of success in your journey. Patience and determination. You're going to do GREAT!
Happy bari versary!Thank you for your video. I am 8 months post-op. I found your videos right around the time of my surgery and i cant tell you how comforting they were to me esp when i was struggling in the beginning. Pre surgery, I was a diet coke fiend. I thought i would struggle giving it up. I havent had DC in 10 months and i havent missed it for one second. Now ice cream is another story! I can no longer eat any ice creams because i get violently ill. I had to have a mental ice cream funeral and grieve the loss. You are absolutely right that your tastes change and your food tolerances change in a good way. You just have to let go of the old and embrace the new. Thanks again and happy bari journey!
Thanks for your message. I love hearing that my videos reach people and that they appreciate it. I am so happy that you're doing well on your journey. I understand how difficult it is to have a food funeral. It's so hard to give up something that you love or relied on. 8 months already? That's great. You can testify that the process gets easier with time. Those who recently had the surgery are always worried about what life looks like after a while. You and I can testify that it's better at month 8 as opposed to month 1 ;) Thank you soooo much for watching xox. Be well!
Thank you for your comment and thank you for watching my videos. I am glad to hear that my videos help. I just released a video where I look back at the different phases and I can't believe it's been 14 months already. I am wishing you lots of patience and success xoxox
It's always hard to start something but once you start the process, things start moving forward and before you know it, you'll be on the other side and grateful for the experience. Wishing you lot's of patience and perseverance. You're going to do GREAT!
Congratulations on your journey! I am 4 months post op RNY. I’m 64 and post menopausal. I also take Gabapentin for nerve pain. Slowly the excess weight is coming off. I log all my food in the Lose It app. I had to stop my blood pressure medication very soon after surgery. It would be nice to be in onederland by my birthday in May. I need to work on getting more active. I admire that you pushed through the pain. I loved the video of you playing at the park. Congratulations on the new job. And good luck with your mother.
Thank you Sara. I appreciate your support. I haven't herd of the Lose It app. Are you enjoying it? I hope you make it to onederland as well for your birthday. Remember that it's all about being healthy and feeling good. The numbers on the scale are just a secondary side effect :) You'll get there sooner or later. I wish you lots of success on your journey xoxo and THANK YOU for watching my videos :)
@@thistothatlife I started logging ALL of my food in the Lose It app 5 months prior to my surgery. Every single day! I have never done that before! I sincerely appreciate your videos I watched them all. Now I’m going back and rewatching your videos. I’m enjoying the ones that coincide with where I am at. Thank you for your vote of confidence. I believe that I will get there too. I did a few food funerals. But I know I will eat those foods again. Just not as often and not as much.

CONGRATS!!!! That one year mark is a BIG one. At one year, I hadn't met my goal weight and I was a little disappointed but then I remembered all the things I can do now, like play with my sons and wear clothes from "regular" shops and how I don't have Diabetes anymore and I forgot about my woes :) Keep in touch!
I deal with a lot of bloating because of my thyroid so from one day to the next I look like a different person. It's a bit funny! But thank you so much for watching my videos and for your comments. Much love-Kat
I lost height and shoe size after having lost over 120lbs. I don't really think that the surgery is responsible. I think that I lost weight around my feet and head and that's why I am an inch shorter now :) I looked it up and apparently it's quite common to also lose a show size..... I donated most of my shoes. It gave me a good opportunity to go shopping :)
I wish I did. I am struggling with water intake as well. I used to be able to drink 8-10 glasses a day and now I can barely have 2. However I started drinking tea and apparently that counts according to my Bariatric Clinic soooo there's that !

Honestly your last 2 thumbnails really show the weight loss in your face- your face shape has become very defined & soft.
I deal with a lot of bloating because of my thyroid so from one day to the next I look like a different person. It's a bit funny! But thank you so much for watching my videos and for your comments. Much love-Kat
I have heard a lot about losing some height but what is the relation between surgery and losing heights 🤔
I lost height and shoe size after having lost over 120lbs. I don't really think that the surgery is responsible. I think that I lost weight around my feet and head and that's why I am an inch shorter now :) I looked it up and apparently it's quite common to also lose a show size..... I donated most of my shoes. I have heard a lot saying that they have lost some height after the surgery but i didn’t get what is the relation🤔
I think it's because my feet got smaller. I don't really know exactly but I am shorter now LOL
Do you have any tips for hitting our water goals?
I wish I did. I am struggling with water intake as well. I used to be able to drink 8-10 glasses a day and now I can barely have 2. However I started drinking tea and apparently that counts according to my Bariatric Clinic soooo there's that !
