Once home to the most advanced civilization on Earth, the city of Atlantis is now an underwater kingdom ruled by the power-hungry King Orm. Answer: he doesn't. With the dark, long hair and beard, it looks incredibly out of place. I realize they're trying to rework Aquaman into a more likeable character with Jason Mamoa, but they can't do both. Either drop the actor or drop the constume. It looks incredibly out of place with Momoa's version of Aquaman.

Skrrt I’m fine with it if they keep it this way. I just think the gold and green is just weird and the fin gloves on the hand it just a lot. If that had one color pallet or two colors that aren’t so poppy and out of place. But they choose to stay with this suit I’m not mad at all.

I think it was a huge mistake by the studio to show him in the orange and green in the trailers. If they kept it a surprise it would've made the moment incredible.

But of course that requires that you have confidence in your movie. When trailers spoil all the best parts, I get the sense that the makers of the movie have zero confidence in their own work.

Julie Andrews is such a gem for selling that voice and hell yes, this is definitely one of the best scenes in the movie. Gave me chills seeing Aquaman in his full suit in the theater.
Never thought Mary Poppins would be this terrifying in her true form.
She totally sells both the menace of her character but also her crushing loneliness and sense that anyone able to comprehend her would be worthy to try to take the Trident on that basis alone
When Clark did his first flight as *Superman*
When Diana took her first steps through No Man’s Land as *Wonder Woman*
When Arthur got the trident and officially became King of the Sea and *The Aquaman*

MARVEL just became popular like 10 yrs ago (other than names like Spider-Man, hulk & wolverine) who really cared about marvel before 2008?
But we hold DC to such high standards because they have decades upon decades of such majestic mythology to live up to. So scenes like this where their essence is done RIGHT. It gives us chills, even brings tears to some of our eyes

Batman warehouse scene in BvS?
This in my opinion is one of the best superhero movies of all time. they made Aquaman into a likable character, unlike sometimes when he is weird in other dc animated films. they also took the comic suit, and made it an awesome and jaw dropping outfit. it overall is greatly thought out, and designed. people can disagree to my opinion, but it is an amazing movie
the classic outfit was already great, its just that the Superfriends animators drew ugly and lame black underwear for no reason. Aquaman is a great movie and the character was already serious b4 this movie dropped. It's just my opinion.

"You... understand me...?" - you sense the pain in her voice that she's been alone since Atlan died without even needing the next line explaining she's had no one to talk to since, and that alone makes her question who he is as if being able to speak to her alone is proof of his worthiness to wield the Trident .
She immediately let him try to take the trident, and I bet you she was holding her breath the whole time, just praying for the lad to be worthy so she can bust out of this prison with him.

I love how they managed to turn Aquaman, the butt of many jokes over the years, into a true representation of being a king and a force to reckon with. Considering the other DC movies that .. well .. stink a bit (or lot), this was great.
Come to think of it, its ridivulous that Aquaman's ability to talk to fish was mocked, since the ocean is full of dangerous creatures he can command.

Finally a heartfelt moment of humility and vulnerability this is easily one of the best scenes in the DCEU and the naming of the whole scene was perfect 'The One True King' just an excellent naming choice for it in a pretty well done movie now I'm harder on the DCEU more than most others that are trying to set a movie Verse but that's only because I do love DC Comics and their characters I want them to succeed and when they are interesting and well written I will give them all the credit in the world for nailing down such characters the Monster Verse is doing pretty well and the MCU is pretty much already perfection so they don't need too much negative criticism or really deserve it at all.
