One of the best things to come outta DC Comics' New 52 era has been the successful relaunch of Aquaman both the character itself & the quality of the comic book as well as solid portrayals in other media like the Injustice games, the Justice League: Throne of Atlantis animated movie and of course the Aquaman movie starring Jason Momoa.
Yeah, Aquaman has seen a serious positive surge over the last few years.

This was one of the best scene ever. Truly a vision... the dead king holding on to a relic on his throne that's guard by a giant monster (kraken?), still vibrating in power. It's just like a painting in a fantasy setting. Love it.

Fortunately, I hadn’t been planning on seeing this and had seen like one or two commercials, so when I saw this in late 2018 after Spider-Verse was sold out, it was just about as powerful as you wanted it to be.
