Great video! thank you. I installed one of these extenders on one of my mavericks and you dont necessarily need to remove the tail lights. The extenders stays in place w/o issues by using the coorect size screws, that you are right you likely have to go get them to the hardware store.
Thanks for the comment! If I did this again, I would definitely use my own hardware from a store. Unfortunately the extender was more "universal" and doesn't come with the right stuff.
I'm going to add a bed extender off of a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac onto my 2022 Maverick XLT. I got the extender for $40 and the hardware for $15.00 When it's finished I will report back.
Ive been watching a ton of Maverick bed extender videos...still havent seen a person show how to put the brackets on. Do yoh have to drill holes on the side of the truck yourself? Directions tell you how many inches?
There are holes on the side of the bed already that match up to the extender bracket. You just need three small bolts. You have to remove the taillights to get to the back side and get a nut on it. This kit had screws and a template if you didn't want to use the factory holes for some reason. The screws in this kit were too small for the factory holes.

Do you have the size of screws i should get before this project starts? I hate to run to HD for parts in the middle of it. Like your content thanks
Is it possible to have a bed cover and a lumber rack? Looks like it is either one or the other...

I heard those are a really close match as well.
