Wow! Just got mine after having my Mav’ for a week today!! Was about to do it this afternoon, but will wait til morning! Will watch this several times tonight! YOU ARE FANTASTIC Sir! Can’t wait to put it on in the morning! Woohoo! Blessings to you Sir! Awesome post! Lifesaver!🇺🇸
Yeah, I put mine in the same place, but will fill the ⅛” or so with some silicone. Will run the hose over it and see how it seals then. I got mine installed in an hour including replaying portions! Turned out great!
WOW! What a great post! Got up this morning played the video once before I tried it, watched the second time, and BOOM ! I AM DONE! Didn’t eve take an hour! Congrat and thanks! GREAT POST! Even sent the link to my Ford Dealer!🇺🇸
Agreed, I see the problem around the tail gate, looks like a potential leak spot. And if you live in the snow belt ... snow filtering in where water might not.
Thanks so much for the video!! As a new truck owner I wasn’t familiar with some of the language they used in the install manual. This video was super easy to follow, saved me a huge headache!! 💯✨
Great video! Much appreciated! I think this just swayed me from the roll up to the fold! Nice demonstration! Loved the comment “1 hour to install because it’s a half hour to unpack” nice!
Thanks again for this video! My Lariat Lux Hybrid with moonroof ordered in July finally made it to my dealer this week! Today was the big day where I was finally able to put my cover on and your video greatly simplified the process!
My dealer recommended that I order my Maverick without any type of accessories to prevent any more delays. And they were right...I got mine in 6 months on last Friday. So excited to buy my cover now that my truck is here. 😅😅
Blake and Tim Excellent video. Very thorough ,Very easy to follow , with your excellent video to fellow even a old country boy like me can do it . !!!👍
Thanks for this video. Looking forward to installing my own once I get the truck. Looks pretty straight forward. Thanks for all the updates for the Mav.
The clip at the front should go back a little. If you feel underneath the lip you will feel where the metal lip stops under the plastic. It does not go all the way to the front of the bed.
Thanks, Tim and Blake! Whenever you finally get my order in, I’d like to find out about the “ceramic paint protection” you mentioned in a recent video. Is there a place on the Long McArthur website that I can find it?
@@Renho17 yes looks easy.. even online when ordering from ford it says $50 installation fee. I asked the parts guy and sounded like he just picked a random installation price.
I think you’re going to have to either remove the liner to find the corner drain holes, drill holes through at the same point like what’s in the Ford instructions. Then run the tube s through there. Mine has the sprayed on liner, so the tubes went right through to the under bed to the ground.
Wonderful video, had my cover done at the factory. I just received my Maverick, do the leak when you go through a car wash?? If they do how does it get remedied??
Thanks for the video, as always. A few questions: 1) Is the tonneau cover from the same supplier across all Fords? etc. the Ranger, F150, and Super Duty? Do they all look and operate the same? 2) Is it the same supplier if a customer orders one from the factory? 3) Any advantage to dealer install VS factory install?
These are the same supplier for all trucks and are available through Ford Accessories and Ford Parts Departments. They all are basically the same in how they are installed.
Tim and I both prefer the Roll-up cover, it gives you access to the whole bed while the trifold either gives full access or completely covers the back window. -SD
Having this installed in about 2 weeks or less when my truck arrives. Is there any glaring issues like water getting or anything. Not using it to keep people out just don’t want my bed ruined or anything.
Thanks for showing the new Maverick bed cover. This one is different than the factory installed model. Can you show how the factory one can be removed, and what is different / especially the hold down clamp. This in not explained in the manual. I love my Maverick. Bill / South Carolina
This looks like a Bison Tonneau cover .. looked easy to install on the maverick.. I tried it on a 2023 Nissan frontier pro4x and it was a pain . The front was too tight did not wanted to go down between the rails. The seal was catching and folding/rolling up ... Had to fight with it. The 2 black bolts also did not go trough , didn't line up with the slotted hole on the mountig bracket . Had to modify make the slots wider. spent 2 -3 hrs and needed extra tools.
I had one of these. It was very secure on a 8 foot bed. Looks great. Damn near waterproof. And without a doubt the worst thing to use that I ever had. Very awkward to use. Hotter than hell to open in the sun. You will need gloves. It’s just easier. Couldn’t get rid of it fast enough. Wound up just giving it away. Instructions said not to open all three panels and try driving. The straps that come with it are not rated for that. The ones that I’ve seen that do you loose all vision out the back window. I’ve had 3 roll n locks on different trucks. Although a lot more expensive I admit. I just think for general every day use. It’s a better product. I have had all types roll ups. Not secure. Toppers harder to get in the older you get.
@long mcarthur I have this cover on my Maverick and I am having a very hard time getting the prop rods to go into the sliding part to lock it in when folded up against the glass. Any suggestions? I did notice that it was catching on those screws, but I pushed past those all the way up and they still won't go in. Thanks!
Installed the Gator FX3 cover (same exact OEM cover, but cheaper price than what Ford wants) Installed per instructions just like this guy, and it rained last night and today, not impressed with it's ability to stop water from getting in, as if sprayed from a windex bottle at both front corners and all across the back tailgate in a foot.
So strange that I've yet to see an install video where there is an existing bed liner. I have observed the clamp points still exist if you bought your truck with the bed liner but I haven't tried yet.... Ah... the drain tube... that's why there's no "with bed liner videos."

I love this cover and think even I, can install it! Thanks Tim & Blake
I'm calling my dealer Monday to find out if my cover is in and schedule an install. After watching this I can make sure they did it right.
Looks promising but does it really keep water out? Can we get a demonstration with it going through a car wash?
Agreed, I see the problem around the tail gate, looks like a potential leak spot. And if you live in the snow belt ... snow filtering in where water might not.
I have factory installed and get some water in front next to cab with washes. Got to talk to my local dealer.
Thanks for the video! Was getting frustrated reading the instructions. Easy-Peasy with you guiding the way.
Thanks so much for the video!! As a new truck owner I wasn’t familiar with some of the language they used in the install manual. This video was super easy to follow, saved me a huge headache!! 💯✨
Our Maverick XLT Hybrid in Area 51 arrived at our dealership. Picking it up soon!! Thanks for keeping us all informed!! Cheers!!
I like it. All I need is a Maverick to show up.
Great video! Much appreciated! I think this just swayed me from the roll up to the fold! Nice demonstration! Loved the comment “1 hour to install because it’s a half hour to unpack” nice!
Great job….I might try this after I receive my MavXL..Thanks 👍👍👍
Thanks Blake and Tim. I wish i would of ordered from you guys. But my next Ford i certainly will.
The video convinced me this is the cover for me to buy. Thank you for the installation video.
Great video well done looks so easy. Hope you make more instalation videos for the Ford maverick.
This is an amazing video. I did not even have to crack the instruction booklet. Simply awesome.

Thank you! Very clear and easy to follow!
Thanks guys this is super helpful. I can’t wait to see the hard roll up video. Im trying to decide between the two.

is this same as the bakflip? hope so cuz thats what i ordered this video is great
Now to get a Maverick 🤔🤔
Awesome video. Your instructions are very easy to follow 🙂.
By far the best video of installing a hard cover- very detail and not a million steps- love it- I want one for my mav how much are they?
current pricing can be found on Ford Accessories website.
Thanks for this video. Looking forward to installing my own once I get the truck. Looks pretty straight forward. Thanks for all the updates for the Mav.
U should show us ur truck and car showroom so we might have to buy it from u if we see wat we like

No we don't have anything about it on our website.
Awesome vid, discount for Mav purchasers at your dealership? Will order for install when truck is shipped. TY
We are doing free install
Excellent video guys !! Thanks
You guys are 👍👍👍👍
nice job, forgot the blanket for bed and tailgate on new truck.
Excellent video! Thanks for sharing!!!
thank you guys! I even think I could do this..(Deb)
Excellent video as usual
Hope to see a similar video for the soft roll up cover from Ford Accessories.
Would like to see the hard roll up as well
Yup I need one of these for the hard roll up.. my dealer wanted $250 for install.. 😆

Good question. I am getting leaks near cab in car wash. Going to talk to dealer.
This appears to be a Bak flip cover are they the manufacture for fords OEM covers purchase from Ford parts specifically for a Ford ranger 2023. Thx
Hey Tim, I would like to know what I should expect when the dealership receives my 2023 Maverick?
You might reach out to your dealership for their process. TB

It's the BAKFlip G2 tonneau cover.
Compliments to the cameraman.
Thanks for the demo! Between the roll-up and trifold, which one do you guys think is better?
Tim and I both prefer the Roll-up cover, it gives you access to the whole bed while the trifold either gives full access or completely covers the back window. -SD
Prefer trifold. Much better look and more secure.
Need help my ford dealership install one on my 2024 f150 and the tail gate won’t open by itself. I have to manually open the gate

Is there a way to lower the rear of my 2O24 Xl Maverick . If so where can I get the kit

This was a Ford Tri folding Tonneau cover
It's the BAKFlip G2.

Have you had any trouble with these coming loose in high winds? We lost a soft bed cover on an F350 in traveling 65 mph in 50-60 mph head winds.
When installed correctly we have had no trouble with them at all. yours may not have been bolted down tightly enough or correctly. - sd
How do these do with rain? Does the bed stay dry?
How would it work with a bed liner?
Thanks!
Looks exactly like the Gator FX.
Is the hard cover rated to stand on?
Booyah 👊🏽😁
On the 2015 f150 there’s no room to clamp those rails I need someone smart to show me cause I feel dumb I can’t get it installed
Can you still put rack bars over the top of it?
There are some that work with it.

Strange. We have not heard of any issues with the ones we are installing. Maybe it needs adjusting.

@@a-ron9884 I've heard good things about those bed covers.
have one on my F150 never a drop in the bed
Who is the manufacturer of this cover? Is it the same as a cover for a 2022 f150?
All of the hardware is the same as BAK. All of the big brands are made by the same manufacturer as I recently learned.
Looks exactly like the Gator FX.

I'm happy to report I installed the truxedo least-expensive bed cover on my maverick with factory bed liner and it was installed with no issues.
Why do you avoid mentioning what make/model the bed cover is?
Its fords Tri fold Tonneau Cover
How much does a dealership charge?
it depends on the part
More money gone!
Looks just like the Rough Country low profile cover at nearly twice the price...😊😅😅😅
Looks like it but it’s much better quality.,plus a better warranty.
That didn't look hard Thank you.
This is Over Priced
$1,200 no worth it.
way overpriced!
Now if I can just find a truck!🛻
