George, you are a born natural at this teaching. Another great pike video - my heart was in my mouth watching that fly, waiting for the takes in the clear water. I think you need Tom and Daithi out together.

George, I recently bought Easy Shrimp expandable line management tray from Ned in Ardaire Springs absolute life saviour for overgrown river banks. No more tripping over the line, you should give it a try .

Well done; always nice to increase the fellowship by teaching someone fly fishing!
Sorry to hear that there is no improvement in the trout fishing. Hatches have been pretty good here, but big drops in the temperature in the evening have killed the evening rise on occasions.
Keep fishing the fly right into the last meter of fly line; they can turn in a Nanosecond if the retrieve is maintained. Also, wait, even up to a minute before you begin to retrieve as the surface disturbance of the fly will get their interest.

Well done guys. For your next trick George you should try surface poppers, the take is unreal. Manual labour, that's a good one. Ha Ha👍

Very entertaining. Sounded a bit like a blind man trying to tell a deaf man what red sounds like. ;)
