I have to admit I love the woman doing the professor McGonagall character... she is so whiny and annoying and irritating. Not that Dame Maggie Smith is anything like that... but this woman in the sketch is just fantastic! I love her!
French and Saunders have an unerring touch when it comes to spoofs and send ups. Once you have seen one of these you can never take the original seriously again. So good. loved the Piano one too.
Also love how both he and Alan Rickman were in separate Die Hard films (where it turned out their characters were brothers) and have both played Snape. Rickman in the films and Irons in this spoof.
It was to rase money for something called Comic Relief which is all about freeing the world from poverty. All of the actors made that for free and it was aired as part of the relief show where people call in and donate money.
The guy playing Malfoy was in Eastenders, his character would always says "Hello darling" and "sweetheart" to scare his wife, who he beat up. He was well hated on tv when this was made.
jennifer saunders and dawn french both had parts in the young ones too, dawn was the easter bunny and some christian woman, and jennifer was one of the girls at the party in 'interesting'
@martinzalle Yep. Which is interesting, because the villain in the third Die Hard is the brother to the villain in the first Die Hard film. And the first villain is played by Alan Rickman, the actor who plays Snape in the movies.
The woman who said, "Am I Slytherin?" was portraying Minerva McGonnagal (spelled wrong, I'm sure), the person in charge of Gryffendor house. She was talking to Severus Snape, head of Slytherin
Its strange seeing Jeremy Irons playing Snape when Alan Rickman also played as Hans Gruber. Irons played a character in the Die Hard sequel playing Hans brother.
"Am i slitherin?"
"No dear, i can understand every word you say."
GENIUS~!

Malfoy having a cigarette on the broomstick is the funniest thing i have ever seen
Jeremy Irons.. Love that guy lol.
Also love how both he and Alan Rickman were in separate Die Hard films (where it turned out their characters were brothers) and have both played Snape. Rickman in the films and Irons in this spoof.
I can't actually tell the difference between Jeremy Irons' and Alan Rickman's voices, they are so alike. Both men are silver foxes too.
The special effects in this are absolutely stunning.
ROFL. I didn't have high hopes but that really was hilarious.
"Am I Slytherin?"
"No dear, I can understand every word youre saying" I also loved that part!!!

Exactly.
"I submit these newpaper clips."
"I submit my mother!"

It was to rase money for something called Comic Relief which is all about freeing the world from poverty. All of the actors made that for free and it was aired as part of the relief show where people call in and donate money.
Lmao this was so damn good
LOL malfoy as a weegie, love it. river city meets hogwarts.
"a i slitherin?"
"no dear, i can understand every word you say."
lol
I love this spoof... but I think my fave ever French & Saunders movie spoof has to be Mamma Mia lol :D
HAHA Jeromy Irons as Snape. That is great. He and Alan have a similar voice.
Yep. She worked with Jennifer Saunders on Ab Fab a lot...and funny enough was in a Harry Potter movie, like Dawn French was.
The guy playing Malfoy was in Eastenders, his character would always says "Hello darling" and "sweetheart" to scare his wife, who he beat up. He was well hated on tv when this was made.
this is sooooooooo awsome x'D
i wished they would do narnia - or have they already?
or maybe memoires of a geisha...that movie could need a spoof ^^
u gotta love their budget special effects.
Snape's voice like Dumbledore.
hahaha love the special effect in quidditch.....especially in 1:44 to 1:48
That.....was funny, and weird at the same time.
I thought is was hilarious that Ronnie Corbett is playing a giant :P
Lmao this is brilliant!
My favourite line. :)
i don't know who's voice is better, Jeromy or Alan's!!
They need to make more!
I thought Ron was the best of the lot. The facial expression was just perfect...
jennifer saunders and dawn french both had parts in the young ones too, dawn was the easter bunny and some christian woman, and jennifer was one of the girls at the party in 'interesting'
lol LOL at the quidditch pitch.
That Draco Malfoy part KILLED ME! :D
omg i remember watching this! haha its so funny! i love dawn french
Wow, this is so extremely funny.
"Am I Slytherin?" sounds like "Am I slurring" or similar... So he says "No, I can understand every word you're saying."
LOL Rabbet,Hat,Rabbet,Hat So, that's Rabbet Hat!
i love the quidditch bit
the woman who plays mcgonagall reminds me of my piano teacher
this thing is HILARIOUS!!!!!!
@martinzalle Yep. Which is interesting, because the villain in the third Die Hard is the brother to the villain in the first Die Hard film. And the first villain is played by Alan Rickman, the actor who plays Snape in the movies.
you gotta love Dobby!
Alan is more nasally Jeremy is more deeper and growly, cannot think of a more suitable voice for a lion,
Jeremy Irons is this professor Snape.
And yes, he was the villian in Die Hard 3. Classic actor.
The woman who said, "Am I Slytherin?" was portraying Minerva McGonnagal (spelled wrong, I'm sure), the person in charge of Gryffendor house. She was talking to Severus Snape, head of Slytherin
prof. snape is SOOOO FUNNYYYYY :D
Its strange seeing Jeremy Irons playing Snape when Alan Rickman also played as Hans Gruber. Irons played a character in the Die Hard sequel playing Hans brother.
"Malfoy!" "Allo darlin' Crack up.
Potter bitch slapping Malfoy with the broom= genius.
